What an absolute delight Jack was to look after. He loves his walks and swims but is equally as happy just chilling with his humans. I will seriously miss his woeful eyes looking up at me. He is very well trained and is absolutely no trouble at all. Jenny and Alex made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. The location of their home is fantastic, very close to Dartmoor and the Devon Coast. We hope we get invited back to look after Jack in the future.
We highly recommend this housesit and are happy to give it a 10* rating! Michelle and Robert are kind, friendly, responsive, and were genuinely concerned for our comfort and enjoyment. They have a lovely home with beautiful furnishings, a well-stocked kitchen, the most comfortable bed we’ve experienced, and a wonderful backyard with a lovely pool and lots of grass that’s perfect for playing with Cookie Dough. Their home is bright and cheerful and is in a safe, friendly, very walkable neighborhood. It’s conveniently located to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Downtown Dallas is only a short drive away. Cookie Dough is a 10* pup. Not only is she adorable, but she also has a sweet, loving personality. We enjoyed our walks with her as much as she did, and playing in the backyard was a treat! Cookie loves, loves her Frisbee and will ask you to throw it as many times as you are willing. If she gets warm, she’ll walk onto the first step in the pool to cool off. She splashes around and has a great time. We loved watching her. When we get a dog, we want it to be just like Cookie! If given the opportunity, we would love to pet sit for Cookie again. This was the perfect housesit for us! Thanks, Michelle and Robert, for selecting us and, hopefully, our schedules will give us the chance to be your house/pet sitters again!
We had a really good time watching out for the dogs and the house! We were welcomed warmly by Marie-France and Eduardo. Marie-France prepared a nice meal for us, even vegan on request, and explained everything we needed to know about the house. Eduardo took us for a walk with Larry and was there for additional questions about the sit. We loved each of the dogs for their own personality. Larry was a really funny guy, but strong, so when you see another dog, it's best to change the side of the road and continue walking. Leo was really cute and likes to cuddle, sometimes you just have to be strict with him, otherwise he will go on begging forever ;) Spike was easy-going, just don't leave any food unattended :) All in all a great sit we would recommend!
Seite and Onze are absolutely adorable ! I had the best time with them, and Ceri's house is comfy and cute. I could focus very well on my tasks and the dogs are 2 balls of love and energy so they were the best companions for me at that time. I regret it was shortened by the train strike but that's life, and Ceri was very comprehensive about this delay. I would definitely recommand to anyone to look after these dogs that I missed the minute I left.
Sean, his family, home and pets are all wonderful. The location is amazing, very close to some really nice hikes to explore after the pets are fed and loved on. Jackson is a sweetheart but took a couple days of persistence to warm up to me. Poor thing definitely missed his family and would wander around looking for them. He was super easy to take care of. He was recovering from a hip injury so he slept in the bottom bedroom with me, that was no problem and made letting him out when he woke up very easy, without having to go too far from bed myself. Cora is affectionate, when she wants to be, but for the most part would hang out upstairs. She can open doors, and is meant to stay inside, so during the day when I would relax in the beautiful backyard I’d keep the outside door cracked so Jackson could shift from his bed inside to outside with me as he wished. I would have to keep the bedroom door locked so Cora couldn’t open it and sneak outside. You just have to be careful bringing in bags or groceries in the front door, she’s super quick. The fish and chickens are very easy to feed. I had a great thanksgiving staying at Sean’s and would go back in a heartbeat!
Ahhhh, this was a lovely sit. I met Janice prior to the sit as i was in Manhattan already, and she went through all I needed to know re the building, access and of course the needs and wants to her two furballs, Shelly and S'mores. First of all, they have got to be two of the sweetest cats I have looked after. Shelly is the most confident and within minutes was showing affection, whereas S'more (incredible blue eyes) was the shy one of the two and took a wee bit longer to feel comfortable, but once he did, was so happy to come and lie on the sofa next to you, or under the bed. I don't think I heard either of them meow once - they were so content and playful with each other, which I felt was a sign of the lovely energy that Janice had created in their home. The apartment is in a perfect location, close to Central Park, and a choice of subway lines. The UWS has a great energy so when you walk out the door, you feel the local community - everyone having a good time. It was a heat wave for the most part, so an evening stroll up to Atlantic Avenue was a buzz, with locals sitting on their stoops, or playing chess on the streets or spilling out of the many restaurants. Janice has made a lovely home and if you get the chance to sit for her, take it.
