Katie and her fiancé Hank went above and beyond while house-sitting with their pup, Charlie (who is super friendly and adorable). Hank was very accommodating to my schedule, arriving early to meet my dog before I left. This introduction helped my dog feel comfortable. They communicated wonderfully each day, taking my dog on many adventures and providing picture updates that eased my worries. They truly took great care of him. In addition to coming home to a happy pup, I was pleasantly surprised to find my place even cleaner than when I left. I would definitely have them stay again and would recommend them to any travelers who are looking for their next house sitter.
I had the absolute pleasure of caring for Erica’s dog, Charlee, and staying in her beautiful, cozy New York home. From the moment I arrived, Erica was incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Her home in Bed-Stuy is exactly as described—lovely, comfortable, and in a great location. Charlee is an absolute sweetheart. She’s well-behaved, knows tons of tricks, and is so photogenic! Walking with her through the streets of New York was such a joy, and she quickly became my favorite cuddle buddy at night. People couldn’t help but stop and admire her cuteness on our walks. I would 100% recommend this sit to anyone looking for a wonderful pet to care for and an authentic, beautiful home to stay in. Leah has a wonderful family. Very caring, communicative, and organized. Roger is well trained and a joy. He is exceptional off leash and loves to play fetch with a stick, ball, and other dogs at the off leash park. He is beautiful, well mannered, and got compliments wherever we went. The cats,Toby and Opal, were very loving. Opal became my shadow and both cats were bed buddies. The chickens were fun to get to know and provided amazing eggs . Highly recommend sitting for Leah and her furry family.
Hank and Kyra are a delight. Kyra will rest her head on your lap when you pet her and Hank will sit right beside you and keep watch when you're relaxing outside. Kathy is great and communicates clearly all the pet care instructions and all the amenities in her home, which is very clean. Would definitely stay here again. :)
Scott and Jane are the most wonderful and generous pet-parents! They left us great information/instructions, some lovely 'Welcome to Wisconsin' treats, and made plenty of space in their home for our things. We also have plans to stay through the winter while they go to Mexico, and we will really miss April and Dulce while we are in the house without them. The house is in a great location - close to the bike path (the E-bikes are great), and we have really enjoyed the tavern and the coffee shop both of which are super close. They have a comfortable home that is plenty spacious, especially with the finished basement area. April is a really sweet girl with a fun personality. She loves to be pet and is very treat motivated. She is a good walker but does have a strong prey drive to be aware of, so keep an eye out for squirrels to be ready for her interest. We didn't visit any off leash dog parks, but we did take her a few places for walks in our car and she was a good passenger. But the neighborhood is great for walking, and the local park near the lake is really beautiful, so you certainly don't need to drive her anywhere for walks. She is on a schedule of three walks a day, longer ones in the morning and afternoon and a shorter pre-bedtime walk. It was really entertaining to watch April and Dulce together - Dulce likes giving kisses (to April and to humans!) and she is a very sweet kitty who loves to sit on your lap. We were cleaning her litter box multiple times a day as she uses it very frequently so we wanted to keep it clean for her. Both girls are easy to care for and are great companions. Thank you Scott and Jane for sharing your home and pets with us, and we look forward to returning soon for the winter sit!
Andrea and Bryn were both personable and welcoming. I was invited to stay with them on the evening prior to their departure. This was an ideal opportunity to familiarise myself with the house, its (modern) facilities and meet with Mylo, Curly and Honey. I was then taken to dinner at my hosts expense. The home is modern, comfortable & conveniently located. Hotels, cafes and beach are within easy walking distance. The town centre is only a few minutes by car. Importantly, Mylo, Curly & Honey were a treat to care for. They are lovely little fellas who liked to snooze during the morning and walk in the afternoons. Mylo and Honey walked (dawdled) well together whilst Curly, the younger of the trio had a faster pace, hence was best solo. All three liked to cuddle up of an evening. This was a thoroughly enjoyable sit in every respect. Happily recommend Andrew, Bryn and the trio to future sitters.
