David and I clicked on the Zoom interview, but it was not a great fit, ultimately. The pets are fine, so the most important thing is that. And the house is fine. I guess I've been spoiled by great sitters who left our house impeccably clean and communicated daily with pictures and information that clearly indicated they knew our pets well and were taking really good care of them and our house. This seems to be the zeewoi standard. But I had to contact David every time I wanted information. He never contacted us once, although he did respond within the hour when I contacted him. But not a picture. Nothing. He even jokingly complained that our cat wasn't being warm enough to him and he considered himself a cat whisperer and was a little peeved. I laughed along and shrugged it off because he was such a nice guy. But I think he found my detailed instructions too informative? Over the 25 years I've had pet sitters some have joked about my very thorough instructions, but everyone, until David, told me they very much appreciated too much information rather than not enough. It doesn't appear he paid them much attention. He didn't recycle. He didn't take in our mail, several days worth was left sitting in our mailbox, which he explained was because we hadn't explicitly asked him to bring it in. The same was true about sending pics of the animals or communication. If I'd asked he would have, but I didn't, so he didn't. The same went for a package that was delivered the day we came home. It arrived at noon, 5 hours before he left our house, but he just left it outside. He said he figured it "would be fine" out there until we got home. He also left earlier than we'd agreed to over text. It's clear if you read the instructions what time the dogs eat dinner and I told him to please stay until dinner, walk them as instructed and then feed them before he left. He left an hour and a half earlier than that to meet friends at the beach. He also didn't follow the instructions for feeding one of our cats, about not leaving her food out because the dogs would eat it before she got a chance to. He did this at least twice that I know of. There was a coating of sand in the shower. The bed was made-ish. He didn't bother with the wash cloth on the bathroom counter I asked him to use to wipe it down so the poured cement doesn't stain. It was untouched, perfectly folded and the post-it note was still stuck to it . The floor was not swept, lots of fur tumbleweeds, although I'd left the vacuum out. And when I challenged him his response was that, "he was not a professional." Except that this site is based on a pay-based membership and at least I expect professional behavior from the sitters who I entrust with my pets and my house. He was taken aback by my texts challenging him when we got home and had discovered all the above. He said he's received nothing but good reviews before and I have no reason not to believe him. He also said he "probably won't use the app again." He said he was "feeling a little attacked" by my observations, even explaining that he'd been asked back by other sitters, and one even paid him some $, though he hadn't asked for it and never would. I've never ever had anything but great relationships with the sitters I've had in my home, through this site or before over the years. Some were long-term sitters for over a decade. I liked David very much as a person over the phone. I have to say we were not a good match once I came home and saw the lack of attention to our instructions, and that he hadn't cleaned up after himself thoroughly before leaving. Not all fits are good ones. This one wasn't for me., though I wish David the best, as he did me.

Loved this sit so much mostly because Daisy and Finn were such awesome dogs. I definitely fell in love with both of them. I loved this sit also because Prescott is now one of my favorite places in the Southwest. I was able to take the dogs on the Flume & Watson Dam trail which I highly recommend. They behaved really well and learned to go easy on the leash when we were climbing down hill. We had so much fun. The home was comfortable, lovely and had such a beautiful view. It was located close to all the best trails. Randy and Susan were kind, gracious, easy to communicate with and a delight to work with. There was a bit of noise from the air traffic nearby but it didn't bother me too much. The golf course they live on is very beautiful and it was enjoyable to walk the dogs in the neighborhood. I would def recommend this sit.

Morgane & Romain
I had a great time catsitting for Morgane and Romain. They are very friendly and caring hosts. Their apartment is comfortable and clean and in a great location in Amsterdam. Morgane and Romain are easy to communicate with and are very helpful in case anything comes up. Kiki is super sweet and playful and easy to look after. She loves having someone around and is great company. I would highly recommend this housesit and would love to come back to look after Kiki again in the future!

We miss Luna already! We had the most wonderful time taking care of Luna and Ed and Lisa's home. Luna is a super sweet dog, and while a little timid was great on walks and going exploring in the local parks with us. She's super easy to care for and was a fantastic work from home buddy while we were there.

The house is beautiful and was perfectly set up for us. We had our own guest space and bathroom downstairs which was perfect. It took a couple days but Luna joined us down there as well! The location is in a really nice quiet neighborhood and close to get to restaurants, parks, and Lake Washington!

Ed and Lisa were incredibly kind and gave us all the info we needed to take care of Luna and the house. We were able to meet them ahead of the sit to get a tour and rundown of the place, and they had a very thorough house sit guide for us as well. They even left out info on the tulip festival in Skagit Valley for us since we mentioned we might check it out on our way to our next sit after theirs!

We would happily come back and sit for Luna, Ed and Lisa again!

Coda is the best companion you could ask for! Really well behaved and a great company for walks, trips to the park or hanging out on the couch. He's the sweetest dog and I'll miss him.
The clear communication with Bryn, welcoming vibe from the beginning and the location of the flat makes this the perfect sit! :)

Rob and Zoe are a lovely couple who live in a modern house in the idyllic village of Combe Hay just outside the amazing historic city of Bath. Rob was a great communicator both before and during the sit. We felt respected and well supported throughout the sit. The house was beautifully clean, our accommodation was ideal and the layout of the house enabled us to spend our time in a discreet and extremely comfortable area of the house. The welcome guide was very comprehensive and accurate.

Clemmie and Hettie were absolutely adorable and extremely easy to care for. They were good walking on the lead and also both had good recall when off the lead. We walked straight from the house, the long walks were across the local fields and the shorter “comfort” walks around the village. Hettie was more adventurous and zoomed off, but never too far; Clemmie stayed closer but did, occasionally, run after and play with Hettie. Both dogs were great companions with their own character. They were both affectionate without being “needy”, although Hettie made out that she’d been separated from us for an eternity whether it was letting her out first thing in the morning, or after returning from shopping, with a most endearing soft whimper for a couple of minutes while wanting hugs and reassurance.

On more than one occasion they showed us the way to the local pub where they obediently lay down while we ate a meal on one occasion and a drink on another. They knew the pub’s resident dogs and were perfectly well behaved. They were equally as perfect when we visited a pub they were not familiar with. In the car they were quiet and lay down for the journey; Hettie occasionally sat up and looked out of the rear window.
The house is located a few minutes drive from the Odd Down Park & Ride making getting into and out of Bath stress-free during the busy pre-Christmas period. Bath is essential visiting and has something for everybody.
We loved our stay in a beautiful house in the company of two adorable cockapoos. We highly recommend this sit and hope that we might be fortunate enough to be able to return.

I absolutely loved my time at Mandy's beautiful home. Ringo and Maude where a pleasure to look after! Mandy is extremely hospitable and her communication was excellent. Her home is conveniently located near beautiful beaches, and amazing rainforrests and also close to town.
Mandy was incredibly kind to lend me her car during my stay. Additionally Mandy let me stay on a few more days after the sit, and also dropped me off at the airport. I couldn't recommend Mandy more, and am very grateful to her for making my experience of visiting Cairns to memorable!
