A great family home, lovely space to cook and hang out, Frome is a great little town in walking distance and Vera is a super dog, she’s calm, well behaved and loves a snuggle.
The two cats are very content doing their own thing- which was out and about most of the time, a little play around the kitchen and then maybe a curl up by the fire,
We enjoyed our stay, thanks for sharing with us x

Janet has a beautiful home, very unique location In a very quiet small Ontario town. Our communication prior and throughout the sit was easy. Shelley is a sweet rescue cat that just loves having you by her side and being youthful, likes your attention to play, cuddle and brush her. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it. Thank you Janet

You couldn’t ask for a handier location or a sweeter, more well-behaved and friendly cat than Sushi!

I came to look after Sushi over Canada Day long weekend. It was my 7th cat sit through Trusted Housesitters but my first one flying during the pandemic. KJ was very attentive to COVID protocol. I flew in the night before KJ’s trip and stayed by the airport just to be sure there were no issues for her planned trip for an important family occasion. We both masked-up to greet one another and for me to learn about Sushi’s preferences. The apartment was all cleaned nicely for me with fresh towels and linens.

I had lived in Halifax YEARS ago so it was wonderful to be able to do some work from the well set-up home office with great wifi and then to easily pop out while Sushi napped to explore the city. So many changes on the waterfront and Spring Garden Road. I’ve missed Halifax and could walk absolutely everywhere!

KJ’s apartment is a spacious one bedroom. Sushi eats dry-food twice daily and is a beautiful long-haired cat who enjoys being brushed and especially chasing his laser toy.

I would come back in a heart beat!

I had a wonderful time at this place! Lovely cat that is very friendly to be around. She will give you endless affection. and a great neighborhood in DC with great walkable places too. Home was so clean it felt like a nice hotel or Airbnb. And did I mention how wonderful the cat Rumi is?

We had an amazing sit with Wilma!! She is a very sweet dog and has such a cute personality. Wilma takes two slow little walks a day at nearby trails so she can be off lead. We would encourage her along with little treats. One of the walks is by two ponds that had swans and all kinds of other interesting birdlife. During the day Wilma was happy to hang out with us in the garden or she would wrap herself up in her bed for an afternoon nap. In the evenings after her dinner & walk she would usually sit by one of us on the couch and get snuggles. At night she primarily slept in the bed in our bedroom, but would sometimes put herself to bed with one of our boys or occasionally stay downstairs in her bed in the lounge. She was really easy to care for and really gentle with our young kids who were constantly petting her and loving on her. She needs the occasional bath for allergies & ear treatment, which she let me do without any complaints. We are quite keen outdoors people so spent lots of time in the garden with her, but for longer walks we left her at home because she isn’t keen to walk far.

Caragh & Jeff were great hosts as well! We met them the day we arrived and they kept in good touch for the months leading up to the sit and during the sit as well. They left us a little welcome gift and explained everything perfectly. They even set up an extra bed in the study for us since we have 3 kids.

The house & location could not have been better! The house is a cottage, which is really cute and comfortable. As an American, I was just enamored by every little detail about it. My British husband found it quite amusing that I spent our 3 weeks in Wiltshire pointing out every historical detail about the cottage, the village and the surrounding area. :) We explored the local footpaths (there is one that leads via a loop to the pub!) and we did lots of exploring around Wiltshire. The home is centrally located to quite a few short day trips so our day usually looked like a walk & morning in the garden playing soccer with our boys while Wilma laid on her blanket outside with us, lunch at home in the garden, then a short afternoon outing. We enjoyed Avebury Circle, Stonehenge, the Salisbury Cathedral, Lacock Abbey, Devizes and probably more that I’ve forgotten about. The area is rife with history and also quite a few Harry Potter filming locations, much to the delight of my kids.

We loved this family and would love to sit for them again the next time we are in the UK!
