Luke and I had a wonderful 6-night housesitting experience for Andre & Katherine, taking care of their lovely dog Katja. Communication with them was fantastic, and they provided helpful tips for both our arrival into and stay in Copenhagen. Before the housesit, we had a chance to meet in person, do proper introductions, and bond with Katja. It was invaluable and definitely something we'd recommend to any future housesitters. We were also left with very detailed printed instructions for Katja which was convenient to refer back to now and again during our stay (and very well written might I add; with a few jokes so was an entertaining read too)! Throughout our stay, Katja was a joy to care for, though we must admit she tested the boundaries in the beginning. As with any new relationship, she needed time to adjust, but her affectionate nature and love for playtime won us over completely. We took her for walks on an extendable lead, allowing her to explore while staying close, and we'd let her run free in parks and play areas. Watching her interact with other dogs and kids was heartwarming, and it's true; you can't go unnoticed walking around Copenhagen with a dog as charmingly large as Katja! At the end of our stay, we waited until Andre and Katherine returned home and we swapped stories from the past week and we’re even lucky enough to be shown some of their lovely travel photos. They are both truely lovely, friendly, welcoming people whom we are both so happy to have met. Overall, it was a delightful housesit, and we'll cherish the memories of this unique experience with Katja and the warm hospitality of Andre and Katherine.
This pet sit was so wonderful! Bella is easy to take care of and loves company and affection. The more time I spent with her, the more cuddly and confident she got. Allie was great and communicating, gave thorough instructions, and is very kind and welcoming. Staying at her house was also very comfortable, homey, and beautiful! I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
