Kate and Teddy are absolutely amazing. We were lucky enough to meet Kate before her departure and she's very sweet and hospitable. Teddy the doggo is the sweetest cuddliest most affectionate little dog. He is sooo much fun! He loves to play with his duck toy and be close to any human. Larkspur is a gorgeous city and Kate's apartment is centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops. We felt so lucky to stay in such a serene place with friendly neighbors and the most adorable dog. The apartment is also very clean and organized. This was such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Nothing but great things to say! I highly recommend sitting for them and would gladly return anytime.
We had a lovely week in a beautiful part of the country looking after JJ and the two hens. JJ is a very friendly and affectionate dog , and we found lovely walks to enjoy with him. The village of Duffield provided an amazing selection of good places to eat plus a very good bakery and a handy Co op. Other beautiful areas we visited included Bakewell and Dovedale. These were roughly a half hours drive and well worth the visit. The house was very comfortable and the log woodburner was much appreciated during our cold wet week in Duffield. We would recommend this sit and Suzanne provides a very warm welcome.
We really enjoyed our time in Clane. Lucinda and Robert were lovely people. They have a charming home in the countryside, in the end we only went to Dublin once or twice and spent all our time either at home or taking the dogs for walks. Its a rural area, beside the woods where we went everyday with Daisy and Eddie. Since there was noone around weekday mornings, they were able to wander off lead, Daisy is obsessed with sticks, Eddie likes to trot into the trees, once or twice taking off after a rabbit! They are fabulous dogs, obedient, gentle and no fuss at all. Daisy loves her rubs and if you stop for more than 2 seconds, you'll get a friendly paw to remind you to continue. Eddie likes his armchair in the corner of the room, we spent many hours together in the living room. Harley the cat was with us too, stretched out for hours on end, he gets on swimmingly with the dogs and with people and does his own thing when he leaves via the cat flap. Several mornings he left us a little present of a mouse on the kitchen floor....We will keep great memories, we'd go back in a heartbeat and would recommend to anyone who loves the countryside, silence, and 3 country pets to look after.
Courtney and Ana are lovely people. From the first contact, the communication has been so easy and clear. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to get to know them both before their trip. We knew we will have lots of things in common. We wish we have had more time to share. Pushkin and Luna a the most adorable duo. They are a great company and enjoy a lot being around and in touch with you (: It took them nothing to get to trust us so our stay together was more than happy! We have spent such a lovely time with them, they garantee a very funny stay. We miss a lot sleeping with Luna, she is like a hot little bag in the bed (: The house is very cozy and the neighborhood is amazing. We enjoyed very much our days walking with the pups and discovering each corner of Neukölln . The best falafell of Berlin is just two blocks. We absolutely recommend them to any housesitters as we personally would love to have this opportunity again. Thank you Ana and Courtney trusting us. Great house and pet sit! Sharon and Philip were very welcoming and helpful, they picked us up in the nearest train station and also gave us a ride back there when it was time for us to leave, which was very kind of them and very much appreciated by us. Sharon made sure she bought vegetarian food (Bruno and I are both vegetarians) for us to eat when we arrived and also showed us around and gave us instructions about everything. They're both very kind and were great hosts. We fell in love with Beamish and Mojo, they warmed up to us almost instantly and they were very good during the whole house sit. Beamish just loved being around us all the time and they were both very well behaved during the walks. Their house is an amazing Victorian House and they have the most beautiful and big shared garden, with a beautiful pond... truly breathtaking. It was amazing waking up to that view from the house and we really enjoyed our days there with the dogs. I highly recommend this sit! Thank you very much Sharon and Philip for everything, it was a pleasure staying there.
