Gus is a really lovely, good-natured dog and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. Karen was really easy to communicate with, and it was great to meet up beforehand to get a good handover. She was also very understanding when unexpected circumstances meant I needed to leave a few days early, which I really appreciated. Karen's house is beautiful, especially the kitchen and deck area, and they live within 10min walk to 2 parks, which are great to take Gus off lead. If you don't have a car they are also walking distance to buses into Brighton, so very handy. Would love to spend time with Gus again, and would totally recommend. :-)
We had a great experience on this housesit. Jackie is very warm, welcoming, and personable. Because we were coming in from out of state, she offered to have us stay the night before the sit was to start. It was so nice being able to visit with her and get to know Ryder. She had a thorough, typed-out document that explained everything we needed to know. Her house was very clean, tidy, and cozy. If you like to walk, there's plenty of sidewalks and a small trail nearby. You'll need a car to go anywhere else. Jackie left us recommendations for restaurants and they were all amazing! Now onto Ryder. She is an awesome dog! She's very friendly, soft & fluffy, and easy to care for. She loved going on walks, going for car rides, and just hanging out. She hardly barks - only when someone came to the door. When it's time for her scheduled snacks, she will remind you by "talking" to you with silly sounds. It's so cute! We highly recommend this sit and would gladly come back and spend more time with Ryder. We're going to miss her!
It was such a joy to take care of Deb’s sweet pups. Her home was very comfortable and easy to stay in. I would recommend this sit highly.
This was an OUTSTANDING sit -- from beginning to end -- that we HIGHLY recommend without any reservations. We started our sit with a phone conversation and extensive welcome guide from Ann. Upon arrival, she took the time to go over any questions we had. She was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with before, during, and after our stay. She made sure that we had everything we needed, including space in the refrigerator/freezer and places for our clothes. You could tell she just wanted us to be comfortable and enjoy ourselves. Ann’s lovely cottage and zen-like backyard is nestled in a safe community within Portland city limits and close to everything including Mt. Tabor Park and Trader Joe’s (we walked there)! Her home is cozy and comfortable with all the amenities you could desire including the most peaceful backyard with birds singing and hummingbirds looking for nectar amongst her beautiful floral, vegetable, and fruit gardens. Stress just melts away! A PERFECT place to relax with the most laid-back and sweetest kitty, Alexander. Alexander is a low maintenance kitty who loves company and a good conversation! He warmed up immediately and found his spot on our bed that same evening! He loves to be outside when the weather is great and comes when you call him! Time flew by too fast as we were just feeling our previous travel stress melt away! Thank you so much Ann for sharing your slice of paradise with us and we hope to see you and Mr. A again soon! P.S. Your lettuce, strawberries and raspberries from your garden were fabulous! Thank you!
I can't say enough about this dream sit! Nori is the most welcoming, kind and gracious host! It was great to get to know her and spend time with her precious Finn. Nori is a great communicator and set me up well for a successful sit. Her home is in a great location, very comfortable with beautiful view of fish pond, palm trees and pool. It was the prefect spot to have relaxing mornings and land after an afternoon of adventuring. Finn was the perfect companion for this solo traveler. We had great conversations (she meows back!), play sessions and scratch/snuggle sessions. I miss her already! I have to say Finn is probably my favorite 'feline host' to date! I would be thrilled to come back to again! ALOHA!
Maria's home is a pristine, modern update in the elegant San Francisco neighborhood of Noe Valley. And Molly is the CUTEST dog, she just made us smile the whole time. We appreciated Maria's very clear and complete written and video instructions for the care of her home and her fur child. It made the transitions in and out simple and easy. We'd be happy to return.
