The Cannistraro’s are extraordinary pet sitters! From the moment I reconnected with Anna, Alan, and their lovely family on a FaceTime to their arrival and throughout their stay, the entire experience was exceptional. Anna and family had done a last minute sit for me for two weeks in early 2023. Anna maintained fantastic communication and was incredibly flexible, even when my dates changed slightly. Her positive, friendly demeanor put me at ease. Anna and her family were attentive to my detailed feeding instructions for Buckley and Zoë, and took great interest in relearning all of my pets' unique likes and dislikes. During our handoff, Anna repeated the instructions with her children, Antonio and Adrian, making it clear she had thoughtfully educated them on how to care for my specific pets. It was truly heartwarming to see how excited the children were to be back with Buckley, participate in feeding and caring for my cat. They were remarkably respectful of my cat Zoë, who prefers to take time to warm up and only likes being petted while eating. I received wonderful videos and photos of Buckley playing and sleeping soundly with Anna's gentle children. Updates of their family adventures exploring local beaches with Buckley as the joyful guest star reassured me that he was in loving hands. I often felt like they were having more fun than I was while away! I had no hesitation allowing them to use my car, which they returned spotlessly clean and full of gas. When my return flight was delayed, Anna kindly picked me up from the airport. Alan even went above and beyond by assembling new kitchen stools that arrived while I was away. Such a thoughtful gesture! The house was in even better shape when I returned than when I left, and my pets were visibly happy. Buckley already misses Antonio and Adrian throwing his toys for him! Anna, Alan, and their children have my highest recommendation. Five stars simply aren't enough! My house is always open to this incredible family, and I wholeheartedly encourage you to sign them up for your next pet sit—as long as it doesn't conflict with mine! Thank you so much for staying in my home, Anna and family. You made my time away worry-free, and Buckley and Zoë couldn't have been in better hands.
House sitting for Roo and Honey was an absolute joy! These two feline friends are as sweet as can be and low maintenance. Mary Ellen was kind and welcoming. We had wonderful conversations, especially about our shared love for the Seminoles! I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her vintage Bobby Bowden newspaper articles (from the early 90's) that she has framed upstairs - those put a big smile on my face. If you ever want to learn more about Tallahassee, Mary Ellen is your go-to person. She knows everything about this great town! The house itself is in a great location, was incredibly cozy and immaculately clean. I loved spending time by the pool and relaxing on the lanai. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, I hope to return again soon and I highly recommend house sitting for Roo and Honey!
Anni and her family included Fern :) living in a wonderful area, in the middle of nowhere next to a great little town (Old town) and great hiking spots. The communication with Anni and Christie was great and open. We didn't meet in person, but that didn't make a difference. Fern is a real sweetheart. It's great that she can run around the house off leash and have a good dog life. If you take her to hikes, she must be on leash. In this case, you should be a good leash guide! She is a hunter ;) and if she gets something in her nose she will follow ;) but if you're a good leader she follows you! (But that is something you should consider, she can pull strongly, but it's doable:-) and sometimes treats could help ;-) ). Fern is doing very good in a car, so you can take her to hikes in it. Also you can leave her for a short (short and not in the heat!) stop in the car, like fuel up gas or catch a coffee to go or bread, .... And she is truly obsessed with everything eatable ;-) and tissues :D so be really carefully with that like Anni will tell you. They live in a really great cozy home, where you will definitely feel like home. For sure, I would sit again :) Anni & Christie, thank you for your trust!
Loved this stay! Riya is the sweetest kitty! She is very chill and loves to play with her toys. It was so fun to watch her personality come out during our stay. Gail was easy to communicate with and always available if needed. Home is cozy and clean and in walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and parks! Would highly recommend!
We are truly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to sit for Sarah and Ward. These two highly generous and welcoming people have shared an inspiring home with the most breathtaking of views, along with the chance to spend some amazing moments with two of the sweetest cats you will ever get the chance to meet. We miss Boris and Plume so much and we have barely been finished with the housesit for a day; knowing the end of our sit was approaching brought tears to our eyes, they are two beautiful beings. Plume is a very young kitten, not even a year old, but for every one of those missing years she has energy in excess, and we love it. We always had a friend to play with and she always had a new object, cloth, or finger movement to be curious about. But on those moments where she was ready for a nap, you will have seen the most adorable cat you could ever imagine, the literal epitome of cuteness. And Boris, he is 15 years old and he is a gentleman, you know when he is asking for food or to be let out of the house when you see is big eyes politely walking towards you. He is the sweetest of the sweet; he has been through a lot in his life and he can handle anything that comes his way as an outdoor cat. But when he is with you in the house and he's cuddled up next to you, you won't want to leave his side, but rather stay cuddled up with him and sleep with his sweet self for an eternity. So, as you can tell, we are thrilled with our stay at Sarah and Ward's home, and there is so much more to it. The comfortable atmosphere of the sitting room is made that much more excellent with an unrivalled view of Mont Blanc, which takes your breath away every time you happen to graze across the valley at it, even at night, with the streets alive with lights, you will be amazed at the view. Sarah and Ward made everything in their home accesible to us and for that we are truly grateful because they have built a home that tends to your needs to be comfortable perfectly. Whether it's reading, writing, working or just having a coffee and looking at the view everything you could possibly need is there. Sarah and Ward accommodated our arrival and departure as if we were longtime friends, for that we are blessed. So, thank you Sarah and Ward and may anyone who has the chance to housesit for you in the future know how truly blessed they are. We had a lovely time in Killi and Stu’s beautiful home and looking after their lovely animals, Crumble, Wotsit and Sandy. Communication was great, very easy going and accommodating and lovely kids who showed our boy all the toys and rooms. Crumble is a lovely dog, very loving and really well behaved, easy to walk, the cats are lovely too out mostly but like a little stoke and cuddle when they are about. A lovely sit and recommend for anyone to have an enjoyable experience.
What a great pet sit for Summer and Gerri! Gerri was very communicative and has a wonderful house. Summer is the sweetest pup and loved walking to the park and beach. Had a great time and would definitely sit for them again!
