My dog immediately fell in love with Lisa - and it quickly became mutual. She took great care of him and the house, paid attention to everything we asked of her. She sent us photos and messages daily and took him on daily outings. We came home to a clean and tidy house, as well as a freshly bathed pup - above and beyond! We hope to have the chance to have Lisa sit for us again, she is a keeper.
What a lovely sit this was! Pip and Mandy were very welcoming. They left helpful information and were always available if I had any questions. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Tig and Paddy are so fun to hang out with and have a lot of character. Paddy loved playing with the ribbon and Tig enjoyed catching the toy mouse and hiding in the grass in the garden. We had a great weekend together, thank you!
The 7 weeks we spent at Larry and Cathryn’s house was amazing. We absolutely loved the peaceful solitude and beautiful countryside. We totally fell in love with Frankie and Millie as well. The house was very comfortable and they were very hospitable making us dinner that first night and going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for our time there. It could not have been more perfect and it being our introduction to France has given us a deep appreciation for the country.
Tom and Anne are amazing hosts. We spent beautiful 10 days with their cat Ned. Ned is very easy to handle and you can enjoy some days in the city of vancouver. The house is gorgeous and they have a cute little garden to watch birds. Greatest guest is the hummingbird that visits frequently.
Cwtch was lovely to hang out with, lovely home and owners with lovely walks for a city area. great if you would like to explore the city life but just as lovely to cuddle up and study with Cwtch nearby
Sitting for Dan was truly an amazing experience, I cant emphasize how great these guys are. They are so completely welcoming, sweet to the core, and just great people. I feel so lucky to have been able to sit for them! Aside from these amazing people, Lyra and Raj are the most cuddly friendly cats I’ve ever got to meet, already on the 2nd day we were playing around, and they would come find me to sit and make muffins haha. They’re not high maintenance as they give cool as cucumber vibes but they are so sweet and I miss them too much already. Mango is completely the same deal, such a sweet little guy and completely nonchalant about whats happening around him. The house as well was incredible, the creative energy that flows through there and the energy it incubates is just unmatched, there are so many little details that you would never think about would be helpful and functional, and just is. An insane prewar building, and definitely can see Dan and Elise’s beautiful touch through every corner. I loved housesitting for them and if you have the chance I would definitely go for it!! I loved meeting them, and cant say enough their fantastic people, felt like we’ve become friends!
We really enjoyed sitting the house and spending lots of time with Pinkie, Pepi and Roan. We spent two weeks there this summer (didnt use the system here as intended, so it states just a day) on short notice and everthing worked fine. Just had a short call beforehand and then met briefly for a short walk to get to know Pinkie (or better: let her get to know us) and we were on our own. Lorna and her family granted us with a warm welcome and everything was just very easy going. They were even ok with us having friends over for the weekend, which I thought was very generous. The house and Brighton in general are perfectly located to take trips along the coast - also lots of dog friendly beaches where you can take Pinkie and have her spent her energy (of which she has plenty). She was good to take in the car as well. During the weekdays my partner was working (and I didnt get any complains of the wifi, so that seemed fine), so quite a few days I just took her to the nearby dog friendly park, which she also loved. She is crazy with energy and still very excited about everything, so pulling quite a bit on the lead and really needs her activity. Once you are out, she is very easy to handle though, very good with all other dogs (and popular with other owners) and happy to just run in circles around you. While we were there, Pinkie got a little crazy with separation anxiety, one night we left. It ended in me taking Pinkie everywhere afterwards, but I feel like we could have trained her differently if we needed to. When we were there she was just one year old and I think it was her first time home alone with strangers, so I think she should be excused for going a little over the top. At the end of our stay she was fine to stay alone. I am including this, because I think with pets there is always something up and I appreciated Lorna and Jimmy being very constructive in discussing on how to proceed. Anyway, next to Pinkie (who definetely occupied most of my energy), Roan and Pepi are really chill and pleasant housemates. I felt a little checked on by Pepi, but the more I got accepted over the days, the more he demanded cuddles as well. And Roan really just takes whatever attention you are granting her happily. Not too shy, so it was very easy for me to get her out of the cage whenever needed. So, to sum it up, we really enjoyed our time here - home, hosts, company and setting were all excellent. Wholeheartedly recommended.
