Cat Sitters in Long Marston

Philip was great with our cat and seemed a very pleasant, communicative and reliable sitter, who looked after our pet for 7 weeks. He was good at communicating and sent us regular updates. However, when we returned we discovered that he had used all our canned food, olive oils, kitchen roll, rice, loo rolls, fish and other foodstuffs we have yet to discover! When challenged he replied that I had said he could help himself, but conveniently forgot that I had added that he should replace anything he used, as we did not want to return to find there was nothing left. A 7 week sit is very different from a short one, where the use of a few food items would be more acceptable. He has not offered to compensate us or replace any of the items used, fully or partially, which we feel is thoughtless and selfish. We are really disappointed. In retrospect I should have sent text or other written messages to Phil to make the replacement of goods used abundantly clear.

Wendy & Bob were the perfect fit for Riley and us. They are both very personable and came a day early to get to know us and Riley so by the time we left the next morning we were very comfortable that Riley would be looked after and have a good time. And we were not disappointed! We were sent regular updates and it was clear that Riley had the time of his life in particular with Wendy's two lovely cocker spaniels of her own, Josh & Oscar, so much so that Riley seemed genuinely disappointed when they departed! It was however so lovely to come back home to find a very chilled and happy Riley! In addition to their excellent care, our house was left in a spotless condition, all bedding and linen was washed and they even left a thank you card and box of chocolates! We would have no hesitation in recommending and very much hope our paths cross again.

Sheila was fantastic with Welly, she didn't actually need to look after him though because I was poorly at the last minute and we couldn't go away. Instead Sheila was part of our family for the weekend, having nice days out on the coast and then joining us for dinner in the evenings. We received a lovely card and chocolates on her departure and would welcome her back any time, there's a great photo of Welly and Sheila in our photo gallery - he loved her!

This was the first time we had used zeewoi - or indeed left Lily with anyone! We were lucky enough to meet Julia months prior to our 16 day sit and she set our minds at rest that Lily would be loved and well cared for in our absence. Lily is a cautious and nervous dog, but took to Julia almost immediately, which reassured us with our choice of sitters. Julia kept us updated with photos and WhatsApp messages so we could see Lily was happy and settled and this helped us relax and feel at ease on our holiday in the knowledge she was safe. Our plants were watered as requested and the house was left clean and tidy. We are extremely grateful that Julia was able to do such a long sit for us and we are happy to recommend her to anyone as a trustworthy and caring housesitter. Thank you so much Julia. xxx

What a great couple!!! Estelle and Bernard and their two lovely well behaved dogs arrived the evening before we left and we had dinner with them with lots to talk about. They know a lot about Norfolk, having stayed in the area many times before, which meant that the handover was very easy. They are very well organised. One of our dogs had to be taken to the vet to have stitches removed, which they were happy to do (as they knew the vet from previous visits with their dogs). We noticed that little things or repairs that we had not done yet had been fixed. The house was spotless, the dogs well looked after and were very unhappy when theire playbuddies left. All in all fantastic housesitters who we would love to have back and look after the dogs and house any time, (that is if they have not been booked by other dogowners after reading our report!!!).

Steph was the most marvelous find. She was super experienced with horses which is what we were looking for, and gave us total peace of mind whilst we were away, that our three horses and three cats were in excellent hands. In fact, I think my horses looked better in her care than mine!!! The house was immaculate when we came back, and even the sheets she slept in had been washed. We would have no hesitation in asking Steph to come back to sit again for us.

I would highly recommend Sam and her lovely family to anyone who wants to come home to find their furry family member super contented and their house in order.

We were very lucky to find Patricia to take care of our pets. Unfortunately our cat became ill the day before we were due to leave but Patricia was able to take great care of her, giving her medicine and plenty of love. By the time we came back our cat was much better! Overall Patricia was very organised and caring and the house was left spotless when we returned! Thank you!

We cannot thank Priya and Dylan enough for the care they gave our dogs whilst we were away, especially our senior dog Sunny. We wouldn’t hesitate to have them back 🥰

Grace and Lloyd took care of our house and dog Milo who took to them straight away. We went away happy our dog was in good hands. Grace updated us with messages and pictures. Came back to a very happy boy, would recommend.

Leigh was completely independent during our sit and was really accommodating to anything we forgot/needed whilst away. I would have no hesitation recommending her.

Well what can I say....... This is the fourth time Jackie & Brian have been to look after Cookie & Cracker - need I say more?? Jackie & Brian saved the day for us because we had booked a two week holiday but had only managed to get a sitter for the first week. Lucky for us they got back from their mega cruise a few days after we left, so they agreed to come & take over from the first sitter. Not only that but they had already made arrangements for Hogmanay so I had arranged for a friend in the village to look after the boys for that one night at her house. Unfortunately she forgot all about it & Jackie & Brian cancelled their plans so that the boys were not left on their own. How dedicated was that - we were gobsmacked & so very very grateful!! Cookie & Cracker must have been absolutely beside themselves when Jackie & Brian arrived - so very very excited to see them again. As always we received lots of photos while we were away. I think it was pretty hard going because the weather was atrocious while we were away but Jackie & Brian just take it in their stride & bath the boys in the outdoor sink after their very muddy walks. We were so pleased to see them again when we got back as we consider them as friends now & are looking forward to seeing them next week for lunch! Thank you again from us all xx🐾🐾
