What a wonderful first sit I had at Julie and Christians place. It was a pleasure to take care of the French bulldogs Georgie and Mona Lisa and of the cat Noir. They all needed medication on a regular basis but as Julie had organized and described everything perfectly it all went smoothly. I enjoyed the company of these cute little friendly and humourous dogs and loved the walks in the beautiful environment. Noir was happy to spend the evenings on my lap in front of the TV. The house of Julie and Christian is beautiful and tidy and you can feel really at ease and at home there. Absolutely recommandable!

Inka and Tarka are wonderful to look after. Inka is incredibly well trained and great around other dogs. She doesn't bark at other dogs and remains totally calm if they get yappy. She is super friendly and loves being pet, cuddling, and playing with her toy parrot. Tarka is very self sufficient and independent. He'll come bopping down the driveway at dinner time, but otherwise won't demand too much attention from you, though he does love his treats when you feel like giving a few. Dominic and Bridget's home is located in a beautiful area surrounded by sloping green fields, which are excellent for walking the dog and feature a picturesque view of the surrounding country side atop the hill. There are plenty of routes to walk the dog, and the woods have lots of bluebells. There is a dog-friendly pub with quite good food five minutes' walk down the road that even provided treats and water for Inka. 7 minutes' drive down the road is a large Tesco with a short footpath to downtown Ilminster, where you can find all the little markets and shops you would want, such as Bonner's Butcher Shop, Silver Street Dairy (cheese shop), The Dolphin (pub), and several charming Cafés. On the same strip is the Arts Centre, where we saw a lovely classical concert. The house is also only 35 minutes by car from the beautiful beaches of Lyme Regis. Inka loved going to the beach with us! The beach has a nice boardwalk with Fish and Chips stands, Ice Cream shops, and a few restaurants, just watch out for seagulls! On the way to the beach is an amazing dog-friendly tea room called The Black Dog with excellent scones. They provided treats and water for Inka as well, it was very sweet. Bridget and Dominic were very welcoming and provided us with two home cooked meals before they left (we had arrived early). They were even kind enough to leave us a box of chocolates and a jar of homemade honey! They made us feel very at home, told us all the best places to check out, and even let us use their car to help make our trip that much more enjoyable. They were very trusting of us with their pets, and didn't ask for a lot of updates. Very kind and down-to-earth people. We had a fantastic time, and would definitely recommend this sit to anyone! It is beautiful there, and the animals are so sweet and loving.
Dana and Brian are a wonderful couple who left clear instructions for the cat sit for their adorable cat Winston! Loved spending time with the handsome cat in their cozy and warm home. Walking distance to supermarkets and resturants, and lots of amenities nearby. With beautiful marshland and geese, wildlife, squirells and racoons in spring. Highly recommended sit!
