Had an overall great experience at Apple and Alex's place. Daily activities included caring for Lupin (twice daily walks), feeding chickens and watering the garden. All the said activities combined did take some time to complete, but it certainly wasnt difficult and was very enjoyable to do. Their house is in a good location, with easy access to the city. The neighborhood was very quiet and in short walking distance to a forested area, where I would go walk Lupin everyday. I would recommend bringing a light jacket as even the summertime months can get a little chilly. Apple and Alex instructed us well on what the routines were and were always available if there were any questions... Definitely a sit I would recommend to others
Fantastic place to sit and Kitten to be with! Super 3 months! Stella is a warm person with whom the house sitting experience goes very smoothly - super easy communication, printed notes, everything prepared for your arrival, including maps of the area and clothes hangers. She picked me up from the airport, left food for my arrival and even provided me with a car to use! I am very thankful! You can arrive a day earlier, etc. Stella is very friendly and you will definitely have no problem finding a good time to arrive and leave. I spent 3 months with Kitten (Koko) and: Kitten is a wonderful, beautiful kitten! He is 16/17 years old, but he is actually 3. :) He is very healthy!, active and a bit shy, but he likes playing, brushing and caressing him - especially in the evening. He will gently show you when he needs them. Food is served in the morning around 7 am. When it's warm, Kitten catches mice and likes to be on the balcony or outside (the condo is on the ground floor). It is very easy to take care of a Kitten. He wants attention, but in a moderate way and he is a very good companion to have around! His sleeping positions always made me laugh. :) I am missing him. I am sure you will spend great time with Kitten. The condo is clean and very comfortable! You will find everything you need there. A comfortable bed, a desk for work, everything for cooking and fast Internet. Location - Varsity, close to a large shopping center and Safeway grocery store, 10 minutes walk to the subway (light rail), 15 minutes walk to Walmart and a great park nearby! You will feel just like at home. I absolutely recommend staying with Kitten in a comfortable condo, getting to know Stella and seeing Banff and the beautiful surroundings! This was a wonderful housesit. Ailsa and Alan were wonderful to work with and Thor, the most delightful dog. Coco and Tilley, the cats were almost invisible:) The setting and home was wonderful, relaxing and all-in-all I was thrilled to do this housesit for them.
A beautiful home with lots of land for the dogs to play and some tranquility away from the city.
Scamper is a great cat and very low maintenance to look after. A bit like a teenager, gets up very late and then wants her food and sometimes a chat or a game! Flat and location are great, very comfortable and right next to the park and easy bus and train links. Chris was easy to communicate and left lots of instructions. Highly recommended. We had a great time at Caity and Bo’s place! And Gus was a wonderful dog to take care of, loved going out with him around the neighborhood and to local parks as well!
