We had an amazing time at Charlotte’s home, which is absolutely beautiful, with lots of colorful decorative touches. We were absolutely at home and loved the large kitchen and exceptionally comfortable guest bed - everything was very clean and made up for our arrival. Charlotte’s communication was excellent and it was easy to get settled and also ask any questions as needed. Otti and Vivi, the kitties, were sweethearts and we already miss them. They love belly rubs, playing endlessly, and exploring. They took to us immediately and are very friendly and love receiving pets; they also love playing and snuggling with each other, which is adorable. They are very easy to care for but do require more amounts of playtime since they are young and growing. Balham as a neighborhood is fairly quiet but fairly well connected via Tube and train station to the rest of London (the center is roughly 30-40 mins by train, and the walk to the station takes about 15 minutes). The neighborhood itself offers some cozy pubs with live music, cocktail bars, and some really, really good food (surprisingly great barbecue in the area, and we are Americans from the South; there is also an excellent stand selling Jamaican food about 5 minutes walk from the house, called Flavours Cabin). We welcomed the relaxation of Balham on many days and found ourselves out in the neighborhood almost every day, although we did venture to other parts of London. All in all this was an excellent pet sit and we couldn’t have had a better time! i, the kitties
The week we spent with Lilo at Rose and Terry's was fantastic! Their house is beautiful, spacious, and in a perfect location. Although located in a scenic neighbourhood of Cochrane, it is just a few minutes drive to the town's major business center. If you're looking for a short excursion, it's only a couple of turns and an easy 15 minute drive to Calgary. However, the best part about this stay is not the location, but is Lilo, herself. She is a real treasure. Lilo is incredibly intelligent with a great personality. She is never demanding, but loves spending time cuddling, walking, and chasing after her toys. She understands and follows many commands. She is funny as well, and we're sure that's on purpose! It was just so enjoyable to spend our time with Lilo, wondering the numerous beautiful paths, right outside their door. Rose and Terry are a wonderful couple, who are very laid back, friendly and comfortable to be around. Communication between us, both before and during the stay, was always frequent and easy. We highly recommend this sit and would be happy to return.
Just returned after a wonderful week in Borough Green, Kent. We met our our hosts, Mark and Catriona just a few hours before their departure. They showed us local walks, left a detailed manual with lots of information, ordinance survey maps and goodies in the fridge.!!! Their home is stunning, surrounded by fantastic gardens and trees. Lovely walks direct from the door. Oscar our charge is a fantastic dog, so affectionate and well behaved. Took him all over with us. Did not know he was even in the car and we could let him off the lead on our numerous walks. He never bothered other dogs and was an absolute delight. The area has lots to do and many national trust properties close by. We certainly hope to visit again !!
We had a great stay at Amanda’s and Chris’s house, looking after their two lovely cats. It’s a beautiful part of the country, so we took advantage to explore. All communication was thorough. We would fully recommend a sit here.
Sitting Soxy for Tessa has been a pleasure! Soxy is a rather shy, but easy-going and friendly cat. She loves to walk around the house and garden independently, but sometimes she'd come and join us in the living room to demand some pats and cuddles. Tessa was very welcoming and friendly, and we were in touch regularly during the house sit. The two are living in a very nice place with a beautiful garden in a great area in North London. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest (thanks so much again, Tessa & Soxy!!) and highly recommend house sitting for Tessa to any cat lovers! :)
Rebecca was a kind, caring, communicative host. She loves her furry family very much and appreciated frequent updates. Birdie, Bailey, Bijeaux, Boudreaux are the absolute sweetest, happy pups and love to cuddle. Just adorable. They love their walks and Boudreaux loves fetch. Need to let them out frequently for potty breaks to minimize surprises. Great location. Highly recommend.
