April did a fantastic job taking care of Whitney and our home. Before the stay, she was very responsive in nailing down logistics and details. During the stay, she checked in with questions, sent us great photos of our pup with her son, and left everything is perfect shape. She even left us some fabulous Christmas cookies that she baked during her stay! Highly recommend April, we would love to have April back anytime.
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!
We had a wonderful time housesitting for Chris and Toby in Manchester. Their home is cozy and filled with charm, especially the conservatory and backyard. Otto and Beryl are delightful and well-behaved dogs. Beryl was a sweetheart, and Otto's energy reminded us of the joys of raising a puppy. Both dogs were great on walks. The house was left clean, with towels washed and bathrooms tidied. Chris and Toby were excellent hosts, ensuring our stay was comfortable. We'd be happy to housesit for them again in the future. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely home and pets!
Susan and Steve's home was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there with Kitty. Kitty was slow to warm up to us, but once we won him over he became one of the most outgoing cats I've ever gotten to know. He loves to be pet and is very vocal about when he's ready for some lovin'.
I had a positive experience sitting for Marcie and Paul! Even though the previous review wasn't great, I had a sense that it might have been a lack of communication and I wanted to find out for myself. We did a video chat and I asked questions and shared my concerns about the dogs and we had a wonderful honest and extensive conversation. I'm a very experienced and confident pet sitter and I would recommend this sit especially for someone who is good in handling big, strong dogs. Milo is really cute and very sweet. He is a big boy and he wants to play and run. When you walk them he gets super excited when he sees other dogs (or rabbits ;)), so you need to have a firm hand. They both respond very well to treats and I always had some with me. It is not necessary to walk them individually. Cazzie is super easy and sweet and if it would be up to her she would get treats all day long lol... It's true that Milo likes to grab things that are in reach so it's best to not leave anything around and Paul showed me the best places and I also had the downstairs space to myself with plenty space for my personal belongings. The house is in a beautiful, private community and walking distance from the Biltmore Lake. It is very quiet and yet close to anything that Asheville has to offer. I was even able to use their tennis courts and loved taking walks around the lake. Marcie and Paul were very friendly and checked in with me regularly to see if everything was ok and if I was comfortable. Overall it was a positive experience.
Boris is such a lovely Labrador, he’s very calm, loves company, walks nicely on and off the lead and just adores jumping into the river. Kirabelle & Ziggy are also a lovely pair of cats. Kirabelle loves to curl up on a lap, purring and Ziggy does enjoy the odd prawn, prowling around his neighbourhood, and kipping on/in a free bed. Leora and David made sure we knew everything we needed to about the animals and their (gorgeous) house. As we usually try to do, we visited before the sit to meet everyone which makes for a more relaxing experience for everyone. There are plenty of walks close by for Boris and Winchester city is just a 10-15 minute walk away.
I recently had the pleasure of house and pet sitting for Alex and Raminta, and what an absolutely fantastic experience it was! Their home, nestled in one of the city's finest neighbourhoods, was a cozy and welcoming haven. From the moment I walked through the door, Breagha’s playful energy and boundless enthusiasm lit up the flat with excitement. Whether it was a long walk in the nearby park or a hike in nature, she was always up for an adventure. And oh, her love for fetch! She could play for ages without tiring. Watching her chase after her ball or eagerly search for the perfect stick to bring back was so entertaining. And then there were the cats - Esme and Nim - mischievous little characters full of personality. They had this adorable rivalry going on, each vying for attention and affection in their own unique way. One moment they'd be cuddled up on my lap, purring contentedly, and the next they'd be playfully riding on my shoulder, competing for the spotlight. The flat itself was charming and perfectly located, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and attractions. Alex and Raminta were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and communicative. We stayed in touch daily, with me sharing updates and photos of Breagha, Esme and Nim, and they were always so appreciative. They also offered suggestions and recommendations for making the most of my time in such a beautiful and friendly city. An absolute joy of an experience. If I ever have the chance to return, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment.
It was lovely staying and watching the puppies. They were very well behaved and I had a great built in work companion with the kitty cat. The grounds were lovely, I loved being able to sit outside on the patio while I worked and smell the jasmine and roses! All instructions provided were thorough and clear and when I did have a few questions I got a prompt response. Would absolutely recommend taking the opportunity to house sit here! Especially if you enjoy gardens.
