Veronica and Adam house sit our cats Smokey and Shadow for close to 9 weeks. Cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of our fur babies and home. Shadow gets really disturbed around new people. So Veronica and Adam really tried to understand his behaviour patterns and engage with him rightly. Both Smokey and Shadow were pampered and engaged with a lot of playtime together . They even bought them quite a bit of toys. When we returned we found both Smokey N Shadow calm and happy . Did not feel like we had left them for close to 2 months. They also have developed new cute behaviours which they picked up during Veronica and Adam’s stay. We feel the cats miss them both! And our home was taken care of so well. We got it back much cleaner, tidier and just perfect . When we returned this really helped us relax and had no additional work . At no point we needed to do any chasing. They kept us up to date with their travel timeline and arrived the night before our travel . Honestly the first conversation with them in itself gave us a lot confidence. The communication was excellent , they pretty much shared daily updates of our cats. Really helped us to have worry free time away. We only wish we got some time to spend with Veronica and Adam to get to know them more . Truly a wonderful experience Thanks a ton Veronica and Adam!
We had a nice time hanging out with Rajvi. She is a very sweet animal. Anjoli and Shaun really had the home clean with water and people treats for those hot and rainy afternoons. Prepared us with great information in advance and welcome kit on arrival. The community pool was repaired and we enjoyed cooling down after our walks. The guest room was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our visit.
The house is situated in a nice small town away from the city, but close enough to everything you need within walking distance or a short bus ride away. The house has a beautiful garden and you even get to eat the fruit and veggies fresh from your own backyard. Nicky is a great host and very generous and helpful, responding to any questions you may have and also sometimes sending quick reminders. The cats are beautiful creatures and very loving and the plants are beautiful and easily cared for. There is no doubt you will have a lovely time…
I had a great time at my house sit at Michelle's. She was super organized in the turnover on how to take care of her two sweet cats. The house was in the middle of a farm with a few sheep and cows that could be pet or feed. It was very comfortable with anything you'd need for a stay, exceptionally clean and quiet. Highly recommend sitting for Michelle if get a chance.
Kate couldn't have been more welcoming! She went above and beyond on her Welcome Guide and welcome treats and made sure that we had everything that we needed. She answered all questions and continually kept in touch to see if we needed anything. She informed her neighbors about us and I was able to speak with four of them during the week. They were wonderful, as was the letter carrier. We fell in love with her house and her neighborhood, but especially with her kitties. They were both so sweet and loving. Public transportation is nearby but we stayed with our e-bikes and found DC to be pretty bike friendly. We were blown away by the beauty of the neighborhoods and felt way more comfortable than we have in other large cities. This is definitely a city that we'd consider living in. You will love Kate and Adam's if you get a chance to stay. The final bonus is their Leesa hybrid mattress, which is the most comfortable I've ever experienced!
We had a wonderful time house sitting for Emma, she was great to communicate with and easy going from the beginning. The house is in a lovely location, with beautiful scenery, beaches and walks nearby. We felt like we were in paradise the whole time. Toto and Teal were fantastic, extremely well mannered, calm and behaved dogs. They are both fit and able to walk along coastal paths with you which we enjoyed. They both warmed up to us quickly, and were very affectionate. We would happily return to do this sit anytime and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Karen and Peter were both friendly and very accommodating. The dogs were sweet and easy to care for. House was clean and in a great location. Unfortunately on the last day I spilled something on a chest before I left and thought I had cleaned it up. Karen later texted me about this. I apologized and offered to pay for any damage to the chest.
