This sit was a little different to normal as the owner was present in the main house, while I was in the Granary. So it was more like a dog walking/feeding position that a standard pet sit. Walking the dogs is all done in the grounds of the property, so no worries about them being off-lead. Sparky, Isla and the cats are all really friendly. Ginny was fantastic, we were able to chat before the sit and she gave me a tour of the property, showed me the daily walking and feeding schedule, and made me feel really welcome. The property is lovely, the main house has some really quirky original features, and the grounds are very beautiful and peaceful. It's a very relaxing and pleasant place to be. I work from home, but the sit environment was so relaxing that I decided to take some time off and just enjoy the location. This sit feels like a luxury spa retreat, with lots of cats and two very friendly dogs to keep you company.
We loved taking care of Peanut. She's a sweet shy girl who we loved keeping company. Ed made our stay very comfortable in their beautiful home and neighborhood. We'd love to take care of Peanut any time!
From the beginning, contact with Harriet and Fergus was easy, timely, very friendly and very helpful. If we had a question to ask, they were prompt and clear. Their four cats are sweet and fun to be around. Two are more outside and two are always inside and this all ran like clockwork. Fox is all fur and fun, Fred is elusive and it was thrilling when we saw her, Annie is independent and doesn’t suffer fools and Kami is sweet and quiet natured. It was a pleasure to look after their lovely home (best shower ever!). Their home is in a perfect position for walking in and around Dundee and we took a drive to St Andrews and Arbroath (the cliff walk is fabulous). We took the opportunity to walk lots, eat well and enjoy ourselves all the while looking out for four beloved pets. It was a wonderful sit for such a lovely couple and it is a sit we highly recommend.
Best experience. From start to finish these hosts were wonderful. Excellent communication before, during and after. Their spotless, organized and spacious home, location, cleanliness, amenities, kindness, personal touches, recommendations, and generosity to us during this stay were all outstanding. Zip was a joy to care for and we miss him now. These hosts are lovely people and went the extra mile to welcome us and get us well oriented before leaving for their own travels. Perfect. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful weekend looking after Dafni! She’s such a calm, gentle, loving girl. She absolutely loved her walks (especially lots of sniffing🤣), enjoyed head messages from jack and did lots of snoozing. She is definitely the easiest going dog we’ve cared for! The house is amazing! It has a lovely open plan living space, huge TV (for the sports of course), loads of interesting books and it feels so bright and refreshing. The kitchen has everything you need in it from coffee machines to a great collection of cook books. Aimee was a brilliant host, she gave us all the information we needed about the house, Dafni and the local area. We did lots of exploring and it was lovely to get out into the fresh countryside air! We’d 100% recommend looking after Dafni if you the the opportunity! Thank you Aimee for letting us look after your home.
Michelle was an amazing host. The house was left clean and tidy for us when we arrived. We were very comfortable staying in her lovely home. The garden is especially awesome with lovely views and a hot tub! The animals were awesome, Piper is bags of energy and cannot get enough of playing her ball, she is super well behaved out on walks and loved it when we took her frisbee to play with too. Cookie is the cutest little fluff ball, also plenty of energy and wants to play a lot but because he's older we made sure he got some sofa chill time and cuddles. Bella is a shy but very sweet kitty, she came out of her shell after a few days and even let me hold her which was lovely. Would highly recommend this lovely home in California, San Fran was about an hour away by ferry or car which was great to visit for a day trip.
