Jackie and Nick were warm, generous and inviting from the first contact. We were greeted with a beautiful meal at their out-of-this-world home in Lanjaron and we couldn’t have felt more welcome. We were overwhelmed by the smell of jasmine, the views, fresh mountain air, spring water at ever turn, abundant terraces (including one of the roof) and fantastic walks from the door. The properties are stylish, well maintained spotlessly clean but most importantly – homely and comfortable. We were here from October until Mid December 2018, which meant we benefitted a little use of the huge, spring-fed swimming pool for a few short weeks into the Spanish autumn. The highlight of the sit for us, however, was gathering and eating organic veg fresh from the garden every day. The season also provided almonds, figs, pomegranates and lemons. We ate like kings and wanted for nothing. The gardens are beautiful so if pottering around flower beds, pots and veggies is your thing then you’ll adore this sit. A few hours a week of light weeding, sweeping, lawn mowing, dead heading and general watering were all that was required of us in exchange for this idyllic health-giving environment. The vista across the reservoir and the horizon of the Med added to the pleasure of such tasks. On two occasions the mountains of Morocco were mirage-like before our very eyes – so romantic! The location is absolutely perfect for sightseeing or enjoying tapas in the very many surrounding whitewashed villages. The lively spa town of Lanjaron is a lovely stroll down the mountain. We made new friends there, attended a yoga and language class weekly and even joined in with the local samba band. We visited Granada regularly and enjoyed the vibrant Thursday market of Orgiva with its fabulous forward-thinking alternative lifestyle scene. Jackie and Nick go over and beyond to ensure the house-sitting ethos is maintained. We felt really appreciated for our efforts on their return and were kindly put up an extra couple of nights. We’ve been full-time housesitting for nigh on three years now and can honestly say this is the best assignment to date! Thanks Nick and Jackie – this is what housesitting is all about.
Kristen has a lovely, very well-kept home, convenient to many shops and a short drive to explore beautiful natural places (if the weather is right, there was lots of snow this year!) I enjoyed cuddling with her cats in the evening and watching the birds in her backyard!

Sam and Rob at e-woof are brilliant! We have a very lively cocker spaniel who absolutely loves going there and always comes home thoroughly worn out! I never have any worries about him when he's with them as he's looked after like one of their own. I love the fact that he's welcome to nap on the sofa and run around in a home environment with plenty of cuddles. Would recommend them to anyone in the area.
We can't speak highly enough of Rob and Sam. When our young rescue dog was first introduced to them over 4 years ago he was frightened of his own shadow. But now as soon as he knows he spending the day with them he's beside himself with excitement. They understand his needs and he really has become part of their family. We can't recommend them highly enough.
We love eWoof, our dog is so well looked after it’s like he’s one of their own. He loves going. We have also much appreciated their wealth of knowledge to help us through some testing puppy stages! Lovely kind people who are passionate about dogs!

Pennwood Daycare and Boarding is a fantastic place. The dogs have tonnes of room to romp around and the staff are very caring. Vanessa has a heart of gold and is relentless in her support for rescue dogs.

Steph and the team are absolutely brilliant! As our cats can be shy, I was nervous they’d just hide for the ten days we were away - but it was quite the opposite. They loved the team and were well looked after by all of them. We got daily updates on how the cats were doing through photos, videos and messages (which put me at ease). As well as feeding, cleaning the cats litter tray, playing with them and giving cuddles, Steph and the team also made sure the house was always securely locked up and even went as far to shut and open the curtains for us each day. Literally can not fault the team, reliable and friendly - 10/10 will be using again, highly recommend!

I feel incredibly lucky to have found We Love Pets & would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone! The team are incredibly knowledgeable, reliable and go above and beyond to help. After a year of furlough & lockdowns it was nerve wracking to return to work and I was filled with immense guilt leaving my dog home alone after so much time with little time apart. Steph was absolutely incredible with her, and spent lots of time reacclimatising her to meeting new people (… & dogs!) again. These guys are so much more than a service, they love and understand animals. We would be lost without them!
We Love Pets High Wycombe have been coming in to my dog on various days over the last few months. Steph and Liddy are particularly reliable and I fully trust them with my dog. I have an ever changing work schedule and they always fit around me and even come in to him at short notice, or are flexible if I need to cancel a day with them. He loves seeing them and I always feel happy knowing he has been walked and fussed by them. They always send me a message and sometimes a picture to say how he has been and let me know he is okay. Would highly recommend!
I cannot rate these guys enough. My dogs absolutely love their walks and are so excited when they see the red jacket come to the door! You can tell each and every walker absolutely loves what they do, the dogs always come back tired and super happy. It’s the little touches too like photo/video updates of walks and even a lovely little personalised Christmas gift for each of my dogs. And the communication from the team is second to none. Truly excellent service. Highly recommend.
Laura provides a wonderful home from home for our little fluffy family members. Dogs are given lots of attention and love. Laura’s experience and knowledge means that I would never worry and can enjoy time away without wondering if my little ones are ok.
My little Shih Tzu has been going to Laura for a year now and he loves it. Laura loves each pup she looks after as though they're her own and it's a huge relief to be able to leave him somewhere we know he will be safe and happy. The pups seem to have free reign of the house and garden which they all love. I've only ever seen happy little dogs at the gate when I pick up or drop off mine.
Laura has been just so fantastic to deal with and accommodating. My old girl has thoroughly enjoyed her time with Lauras Little Lodgers. Thank you Laura. I felt so safe leaving Twinkle in your care, and your sweet garden and home was so well secured for her tiny size. With a little doggy gate at the front door for extra security. Twinkle is flying back to New Zealand this month so had her last stay with Laura which we are very sad about. You have been such a blessing to Twinkle and I, you will be missed, Thank you. It was so heart warming to see Twinkle sprint to your front door and paw at it to reach you each time. ty ty ty
Laura has been looking after my dog for nearly 6 years when I go on holiday. Wonderful home from home boarding, where I know that he is safe and cared for . He is always excited and happy to return to see Laura, and play with her other little lodgers.

Efficient and good value
I have a young bulldog called Edna who had never been left without me before or even stayed at anyone else's house. She settled very quickly and had a fantastic holiday. I also had a great holiday as I didn't have to worry about her being stressed in a kennel too hot or too cold. I knew she was being well loved and cared for in a home from home environment. Can't recommend happy hounds enough - well worth the money for the peace of mind and level of care the dogs receive. I wouldn't trust anyone else with Edna!
Our boy Cooper has been to stay with Likeourown now on a few occasions, and each time we collect him, he never want's to leave them! Lee look's after him so very well, he takes him on so many lovely walks, he meets all the local dogs at the park, and also the neighbours dog, so he has far too much fun! It has been such a relief for us to know that Cooper is in such good hands while we are away. We cannot recommend them enough! Thankyou so much, and see you again soon.
Likeourown looked after my 7 months puppy. I have to admit it is not an easy task as my puppy is a large breed and still walk on lead, very playful, strong and no recall. But Lee took him on and when I went to pick up, my puppy was confortablely lying down and wait for me. Lee also send me updates while I was away, gave me many good tips. I will certainly continue use Likeourown. Highly recommend.
'Flora has been going to Jo's since she was a puppy and loves it there. Both Jo & Tony are great with her - they treat her as if she was their own dog. Whenever we pass Jo's house Flora pulls at her lead, wanting to get through the gate, which I think speaks for itself!! I would highly recommend Jo.'
