We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Befriending DaAnne, Bob, Mama, and Izzy has been one of THE BEST experiences of my travels and time with TH! Mama will announce her intentions to dine when you're in the kitchen, and will meow with fervor as you prepare her meals. She LOVES to be brushed, and to be held like a baby over your right shoulder; her deep purrs and "air biscuits" are very endearing! Izzy loves to laze on her large pillow, communicate with you via brief, chirpy meows, and occasionally play with her wire-cardboard cat toy. She will sit on/near you if you're covered in a soft blanket, and will shyly brush up against nearby furniture before hopping up onto the sofa. Both cats are incredibly sweet and fairly independent, often napping in the sunshine or cleaning themselves regularly. Bob and DaAnne are very generous, kind, and thoughtful humans. They have a beautiful, clean, well-appointed "smart" home in a quiet, tucked-away-yet-very-accessible location, and several outdoor spaces to enjoy sunlight and meals. Their garage is a great spot for workouts, and their e-bikes are excellent transport for errands. Bob and DaAnne graciously shared their abode with me while I was between sits, which was an unexpected act of great kindness! We had 15 (extra) days to become acquainted, and, in that time, I truly felt welcomed, appreciated, and cared for. We shared meals, laughter, sweet treats, and a bit of our stories; I look forward to many more of these moments in the future. If you're able to work with the jet-setting, munificent Smith family, then I highly encourage you to do so. Also, try not to "break" their washer (HA!).
The loveliest house sit! Really felt like home after 6/7 weeks. Blacky was the sweetest little guy to look after. The property is absolutely stunning and it was such a pleasure to house sit for Nick and Sandy. Would love to come back! Would highly recommend! Nick and Sandy where also super easy to get hold of during the sit should I need anything. Was an absolute pleasure!
I loved my time with Duncan! He is the sweetest dog, full of happiness and sunshine, so cuddly and a joy to walk. He loves to play, but also loves to curl up next to you if you are working, reading or watching tv. Nicola was wonderful and welcoming and was quick to respond to messages. She kept me up to date on everything I needed to know about the apartment. The neighborhood is beautiful, close to everything, on a quiet tree-lined street. The apartment is gorgous, comfortable, bright, just lovely. I would pet/house sit for Nicola and Duncan again anytime!
Haley is adorable and Jane's home is lovely and well equipped. Very good location only minutes to downtown. Great communication. I highly recommend this home and kitty to sitters.
This was such a pleasant experience! Daniel was great to deal with, and so was the lovely dog, Daisy! The home was comfortable and I greatly enjoyed being with this sweet dog. I would gladly return anytime.
Nice little piece of paradise with very sweet “pups”. I felt so welcomed and comfortable at Daisy’s. I truly enjoyed being at their place and keeping an eye on things for them.
