Lovely house, fast responder, and sweet pets. Had a great week petsitting!
Hosts Alix & Erica were good communicators from the start and throughout the sit. They were more than appreciative of updates and photos. Their apartment is comfortable with a big terrace. The kitties are why you should apply — especially if you’re looking to up your TH experience. You will fall for A&E’s three furry goofballs. Ruby keeps his distance but literally and comically throws himself at your feet when it’s time for food. The two Mr’s will be your best friends and are always up for scritches. They will gladly flop all over you and take turns staking their claim to your bed. Prepare to have one kitty join you each night, in rotation. Sure, a few more steps could have been taken to make their first TH sitters extra-comfortable but that comes with time, experience, and feedback. None of which are worth mentioning here and understandable with a newborn. After the sit they were super receptive to feedback. The location is a funny netherworld at the center of Flatbush, East Flatbush, Flatlands, and Midwood. There’s an Aldi and a Target steps away for essentials. Some fast food and take-out too. Other than those, restaurants, bars, and amenities are pretty scarce. Luckily, the subway is less than a ten minute walk which connects you to all the wonders of Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Had a great sit. Mila was very welcoming and friendly. Emma had made sure we had all we needed and was very responsive to questions. Location is ideal for a visit with all needed amenities in close walking distance. Thank you Emma for opening your home to us. Phil n Kim
I had a great time t
I spent a lovely week with Jarvis the Cockerpoo - he is a delight and such a well behaved loving boy. He is happy to sit with his head on your lap, looking at you with those big brown eyes, who could resist a cuddle :-) We enjoyed lots of walks in the woods which are accessed from the bottom of the garden and happily burnt off some energy running on the recreation ground. Neil and Lesley were easy to communicate with and answered all my questions. I didn't meet them in person but Neil's mum did a great job of making me welcome and showing me around the house and introducing me to Jarvis. The house is beautiful and looks out over a large back garden. The weather was good during my stay so I was able to make good use of their lovely garden and garden furniture to relax and enjoy the sun. The house is near to two sets of local shops with everything you need close by, including an Indian take-away called the Bay Leaf which I would recommend. There are place to visit close by if you have a car. I enjoyed visiting the National Trust home Hughenden which is very close. I would recommend this sit.
I loved petsitting for Kristin & Charlie! Buckley & Birdie were the most lovely pups and such a delight to be around and care for. I miss them so much already. They are so cute, low maintenance, fun, snuggly, and they’re just so sweet!! I highly encourage others to pet sit for Kristin & Charlie.
