A lovely experience with 2 gorgeous dogs who loved their twice daily walks in the peaceful countryside.Hosys were generous with food .A vibrant & interesting rural town is closeby where there are many restaurants ,a lovely pier,library ,theatre & a market on a Wed.There is a bus service to killarney ,Bantry& Skibereen also.lf you enjoy golf then you can literally walk across rd & you are there.There are some lovely country highways for dog walkers.An enjoyable trip.
We took care of Pearl and Ruby over 16 days in August 2021, and really enjoyed our stay with Michelle! We had a chance to meet Michelle before our stay commenced, and were a bit nervous about our first stay via Trusted House Sitters, but Michelle was so welcoming and warm, she walked us through all the routine and showed us around her house, so it was really easy to get into the flow of things once we moved in. Pearl and Ruby are wonderful girls! Michelle told us that they like people, and they do really like people above and beyond! They slept with us, cuddled with us on the couch, and drew innumerable "awwww"s from our coworkers over Zoom meetings. They are small dogs, but they did great on long walks (~3.5mi loop around Seward Park) - of course, continuously drawing "awwww"s from children and grown ups. Pearl and Ruby are sisters, but they have very different personalities: Pearl is a bit more shy than Ruby, and Ruby is a bit more active, but wait until the walk time to learn that they both are a power house! Michelle's house is unique and beautiful, with lots of art pieces she collected from her travels or made herself. There are two guest bedrooms, and two living rooms, and a kitchen that has anything you could ever need for cooking. Seward Park is a great neighborhood, 10 min walk to Washington Lake, 15min walk to local Main Street, and unbelievable views on Mt Rainer on a clear day. We loved our stay so much, and will miss the girls a lot! First night after moving out we both felt like something is missing - no Pearl and Ruby by our side... This is a great first time stay, and we're happy to meet Michelle - and hope to stay in touch with her and to stop by to see the girls again soon!
