They seem like very nice people and did like the dogs. I did wait a few days to review to not be tired or seem harsh. And because it took me time to readjust to the time zone, I was unaware of the second issue until I'd been home a couple of days and somewhat rested. I had to ask myself what I could have written in instructions differently to be more clear, but the cleaning thing isn't something I'd have thought needed mentioning. One star removed for this - While the dogs seemed well upon return, their daily routine, specifically their very important daily dog park trip to “their“ park, that I had 1 1/2 typed pages describing in detail, stressing that this is VERY important to the dogs and an integral part of their routine, was not adhered to. Scott says the dogs had dog park visits - but not to “ their “ park, where their friends are and where they look forward to seeing those friends every day. The highlight of their day. That may not seem a big deal to many but I had really emphasized the importance to the dogs. i did leave it at four stars, even with little things, such as type of food left out, dry, daily (with photos of same). Little things are not critical. I almost went to three stars because the house, including some cooking gear, was not clean. I don't expect a deep clean and know that items can easily end up not returned to their original locations, but had hoped the home would be in close to the condition I left it in for them. Entire home very dusty, some things neglected or dirty. I was disappointed. Ultimately, the dogs seemed fine, but I was disappointed. I also received very few updates: only 6 photo updates in four weeks and most communication was initiated by me.
It was such a joy to meet Terri and Greg! They were so lovely on every level. They looked after my home and animals with loving care, and sent the best pictures of all of them out and about. I am certain that Chili is still missing them! The also were flexible to come a day early to meet me, given there would not have been time on the day of my flight. The house was sparkling clean when I returned, and my critters were happy and taken care of. Would highly recommend.
