Housesitting for Colin and Theony on their beautiful property was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I anticipated that I would have unique opportunities throughout my travels, but I never imagined that I would help to raise baby lions and servals in the African bush. The lovely team at Horseback Africa welcomed me as part of the family, and I'm honored still to call them friends. I can't recommend this housesit highly enough.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mocha and Shaggy. Mocha loves to play frisbee in the backyard. She is very well trained and a joy to walk on or off leash in High Rock Park, a short distance from the house. Shaggy is very playful, loves attention and lets you know when he's hungry. Helene and Eric are a delight. We arrived a day before they departed and had the opportunity to get to know them and the house. They provided us with an extensive list of places to visit in and around Victoria, places to eat and which bakery has the best croissant. We would love to sit for Mocha and Shaggy again.
Roger was lovely company, I miss him already! And Kyla was a brilliant communicator and did everything to ensure I was happy and comfortable. Great apartment in a really convenient and central neighborhood, can't recommend this sit enough!
Chica and Isabel are the sweetest pets! We could not have hoped for a better pet sitting experience. It was a relaxing stay in a lovely private neighborhood. Walks with Chica were very enjoyable and she is great on leash. Chica and Isabel were both so well behaved and easy to get attached to! Martha has a beautiful home in an ideal location. There were many amazing restaurants and shops within just a few minutes drive. Martha was so kind, and invited us to stay the night she returned from her art show. Thank you Martha for such a wonderful visit!
Elaine is the absolute perfect host! She's talented, kind, gracious, and did a phenomenal job providing instructions and insights on how to best care for her furry family members; Emmy and Trip. Her home is both the perfect place to relax and/or trek into New Braunfels (Austin and San Antonio are very close) and enjoy all that it has to offer...what it has to offer is too long to list :) I was house sitting for an extended period of time, and being with her dog Emmy and her cat Trip made the time very, very special. Emmy and I spent time at a few restaurants / coffee shops, daily walks and/or playdates with a neighbors dog, or just hung out together. Emmy has soulful eyes, an incredibly sweet disposition, and loved to sit at my feet while I was working. She's amazing! Trip was easy as well, and he would spend time sitting on the back of the sofa and simply purring...and staring. Also very cute. And hilarious! This was my first house sit and I count myself as extremely fortunate to land with Elaine, Emmy and Trip. I view them as part of my extended family and I'm thankful, very thankful, for the time we've shared.
