Isabelle was given specific instructions, but needs to follow them all. The dogs were fine, but too many things went awry. I sent her a text with questions that I had, but have not received a reply. This all caused me to be stressed out, rather than enjoy my time away.
It was a pleasure looking after Mavis and Batman for a week. Joseph and Huey made sure we felt at home at their beautiful place and checked in during the week to make sure all was going well. They provided a comprehensive handover of the house and pets which made life easy. Mavis is the sweetest, most loving little lapdog and Batman also loves a cuddle. We could not have asked for a lovelier housesit!
Mark and Randa are extremely thoughtful, conscientious people who did everything to make me feel welcome and at home. Their house is a very comfortable, peaceful place, and I most definitely appreciated the quiet atmosphere there. Lazlo and Ziggy are two of the sweetest cats ever, and they were are delight to be with. I don’t know if they were brothers by family, but certainly they were most definitely loving toward each other, and that made being with them all the more enjoyable.
I loved this sit! Susan was friendly and inviting from the get. Her home is absolutely lovely, and only a 10 minute drive from the beach in Capitola, a super cute town that you must visit. I also got to chat with her neighbor for a bit who was just as friendly. Susan left detailed instructions, and walked me through everything in person before she left. Her cat Sasha is probably the friendliest cat I’ve ever met! She’s a total love bug. She will hop in your lap or on your chest, and quickly snuggle. She also enjoyed snuggling at night, which I loved. Thank you Susan for a smooth + enjoyable stay!
We had such a great time watching Emma’s dogs! She and Chris are the best and very down to earth. We would sit for them again in a heartbeat. The dogs are the absolute sweetest. Ralph is a big dog, and just a big cuddler and sweetheart. Frida is the smallest and she and Ralph love to play with each other. She will roll on her back for a belly rub when she sees you. Nora is the “mom” of the group and is seriously the best dog ever. She carries her stuffed bunny with her, and is so so sweet. We loved playing with them. Ralph likes the tug ropes, Nora the tennis balls, and Frida likes you to run around the yard with her. Also, when you walk in the room all 3 tails wag like a round of applause. I felt famous. The house and area are lovely. We had some nice walks by the river in the mornings. We drove into Boston to see the touristy sites and museums. Although, there is a bus nearby we found the metered parking to be reasonable. We now have new friends in Boston and they are welcome at our home, as well. Thank you Emma!
