Of the many home/pet sits I've taken on the past few years, hands down, this was one of my favorites and an all-around fantastic experience. Home: Exactly as pictured and described. Chad and Erynn's house is so peaceful, CLEAN and comfortable and a true oasis in nature. Walter and I enjoyed many of the trails that they recommended and loved spending time on the deck and in the backyard when not out exploring! Agree with other sitters that the bed is comfy, too. Sir Walter the Whoodle: What can I say, I miss this guy! He's an incredibly well trained pup who comes when called, listens and is such a great companion. He mostly naps during the day and was a great walker. Since we had sizzling temps, most of our outdoor adventure time on the trails were after 6pm. He does get the zoomies at night so make sure to leave time to play with him so he's a sound sleeper! Walter makes an excellent exploration buddy - we had tacos together in downtown Lafayette, checked out Boulder trails, and of course walked the neighborhood which is safe and beautiful. He's certainly earned a spot in my heart after a memorable week together. Chad and Erynn: incredibly kind, excellent communicators, thorough and available to help with anything! I'm so lucky and grateful that my first Trusted Housesitters experience was this one, because they have set the bar high. They left thorough notes for the home and Walter and were quick to help with minor questions like the thermostat when I needed assistance figuring it out. All-around, a considerate and pleasant family I'd sit for again in a heartbeat.
Me and my boyfriend had the most amazing time in Kandersteg with marks furry friends. Pepper, dickens and widgeon are so fun to be around and so well behaved! We ventured up the mountains and through the many beautiful trails that surround the house. The views were the best we’ve ever seen! And not to forget Chiquita and teddy, who were so calming and friendly! I really hope I get the chance to return as it was such a wonderful sit!
I thoroughly enjoyed house/cat sitting for Delaney and Matthias. They were so gracious and kind in all of our communications. They left a Welcome Guide with information for me, and even left beautiful flowers on the table! Their home is really nicely decorated, and artistic, and very comfortable. Pepper and Peanut are very special kitties, and I enjoyed every second with them. They are both very funny, friendly, curious, affectionate, and PURR all the time! I would recommend this sit and would happily sit for them again.
I loved housesitting for Jodi and Chris! They are two of the sweetest people one could hope to meet and Opie and Freddie are gorgeous and awesome! From the moment I entered their home, I could feel the love and care taken to create a beautiful and safe haven. Jodi's instructions were meticulous and thorough and she was very responsive to any questions I needed answered. I wholeheartedly recommend this housesit and hope to return soon!
This was our first pet sitting experience and we couldn't dream of a better one! Thanks to Ruth who had everything prepared, a very detailed guide, a welcoming townhouse near the center of St Albans which is a very cute city to visit, they even let us lend their bike! We had the occasion to go out and about in London as well, which is only at 20min train distance. And the most important: Bonnie!! What a gem of a tabby cat. She is the sweetest, really. I stopped counting the times where she came on our lap for a purring cuddle. She isn't picky about food and even likes to taste vegetables! She is also super playful (being with her toy or insects, we had plenty of fun to see her hunt) and sometimes likes to go outside on adventures but she's never far away! We warmly thank again Ruth for the trust and we'll come back any time! I highly recommend this sit if you have the chance to go!
