Alex was terrific, taking care of two dogs and the house with thoughtfulness and care. She took the initiative to handle an overlap between her previous appointment and ours and was willing to do the same if necessary if our flights got delayed/canceled. We'd be happy to make use of her services and talents again in the future.
Jacques and Heiner were really kind and interesting hosts to talk to. They were even picking us up at the airport, due to our late arrival and welcomed us with jackets and a warm meal, knowing we’d arrive in the Danish winter from Costa Rica with only summer clothes! We enjoyed the conversations with Jacques and Heiner and found their home extremely cosy. It was an interesting experience of living in a home heated mainly with a fire place. It slows down the rhythm of life and sets other priorities. The house is surrounded with beautiful woods and must be even more magic, once spring is out. We had regular visitors, birds, squirrels and even deer, which could be observed from the comfort of the sofa. There are nice strolls to be had in the surrounding forest and for bike lovers the sea is accessible by a good ride. They both were very responsive and helpful with a broken waterpipe during our stay and arranged necessary steps for their insurance (which requested to speak to the house owners) to deal with the issue right away. Mele the cat, was absolutely adorable. Although at first a bit shy and jumpy, he quickly warmed up to us and we enjoyed the daily belly rubs while he was stretching on the sofa. Mele is a very gentle giant of a cat and quickly stole our hearts.
I loved house sitting for Vincent and Audrey. Their house is very nice and quiet and Morges is a beautiful small city. The best about the house sit was of course Cookie, I loved her! I loved the long walks with her, she is very energetic and always happy to go out for long walks. There are many nice walks in the forest and fields close by. Cookie is well behaved and listens well. When at home she is very quiet and loves to sit next to you when you watch TV or read. Vincent and Audrey are very generous and were always available if I had any questions. They prepared a detailed document about the house and Cookie, which was very helpful. When I arrived everything was prepared for me and Vincent showed me everything about Cookie. I highly recommend this house sit if Audrey and Vincent chose you. Thank you again Audrey and Vincent for everything and hope to see you and Cookie again:)

Our first foray into Trustedhousesitters brought us into contact with Richard and Sara, their beautiful two cats Tiggy and Misty and lovely home. Sara and Richard had made the whole experience easy as they had researched lots of local information for us and left clear instructions on the cats daily routeen. Considering this has been their first time of using Trustedhousesitters too, they were relaxed and made the whole process very enjoyable. Twiggy and Misty are very independent but allowed us to brush them with great care in exchange for sharing their beautiful 'chocolate box' surroundings. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Couldnt have been more enjoyable. Lovely people, gorgeous place and beautiful pets.
We stayed for about 10 days and absolutely loved our time with Buddy, Pumpkin, Peaches, Cookie and Cocoa :-) All of the animals are so sweet, even the Guinea Pigs (especially when you bring them lettuce and carrots in the morning!). The house has an amazing view of Pikes Peak, nice trails right in the neighborhood and everything you need fairly close by. Melina and her daughter were so welcoming and helpful. We really did fall in love with all of the animals and are looking forward to being able to come back and hang out with the "gang" again soon.
Caring for Barry and Shelly was such a joy! They are incredibly loving and sweet pups that were easy to play with, care for and cuddle. Shelly warmed up quickly upon my arrival and Barry is always ready for a good greet and rub down :) They did great on walks, even off leash. I felt very comfortable with them around other dogs at the park and loved watching them play and socialize. They do great with following commands and also did well with treats as reinforcement. Molly and Adam provided a great welcome guide with detailed info that was very helpful to read through! I felt immediately welcomed into their home and they made sure I had everything I needed for a nourishing sit. I would definitely sit for them again!
