We really loved Pepper and Biscuit! They were the sweetest little pups! Especially Pepper is so cuddly and could sleep on her back with you on the couch all the time! Rick and Angela made us feel very welcome and like home. We found everything we needed and there were a little of nice towns nearby to explore! Also you have the best views while walking the dogs in the hills. The pool was also a great bonus and was really nice to have! We really liked it and would love to come back :)
It’s a real pleasure to write this review for Daniel & Annisa. They’re wonderful people and a joy to interact with. I’m so grateful for how they repeatedly went out of their way to ensure I’d feel comfortable and at home in their charming apartment. From the outset, they were kind, communicative, respectful, generous and on hand in case I had any questions. They were incredibly accommodating of my travel plans and did a fantastic job of compiling a comprehensive guide on everything I needed to know for a successful sit. They even outlined a tiered watering schedule for their houseplants which made caring for them a breeze. Tokyo, their delightful dog, is endlessly entertaining, easy to look after and utterly adorable. Be prepared for lots of admirers at the local parks! She’s one of the most loving canines I’ve ever lived with and I find myself really missing her. The apartment is impressively organized, well appointed, beautifully laid out and full of customizations that make it effortless to live in. Thank you so much Daniel & Annisa for entrusting me with Tokyo and for welcoming me into your home. I’d happily return and encourage anyone interested not to hesitate – you’d be fortunate to have the experience!
I really enjoyed this sit and had a great time with the animals. Betty and Gerty were easy to take on walks even tho I had to be careful letting Gerty not get close to a part of the playing ground :) The cats pretty much looked after them self ,the only thing there was of course to feed them and give them water. I can highly reccomend this sit. Thank you guys :)
We had an amazing time with Oreo at Stefanie and Dennis' place. This was our first sit on THS so we are so grateful to have been trusted by Stefanie and Dennis. Oreo is definitely a special cat. He hid from us at first but once you give him space and let him become comfortable around you, he is such a playful and affectionate cat. He knows what he wants and knows how to get it! We loved his company and miss him already. Looking after Oreo wasn't as difficult as what it may appear. There were clear and detailed instructions provided in the guidebook that were easy to follow. We were shown how to measure Oreo's input and check his output and energy level. We were also shown first hand how to give Oreo his medication in the instance he requires it - during our sit Oreo didn't take any. The house had everything it needed and is located in a convenient location with awesome grocery stores, plenty of food options and a 20 min drive to DC. We would definitely recommend this sit for those wanting to explore DC and the Grearer Washington Area. Much thanks again to Stefanie and Dennis for the opportunity!
This was my first sit and a perfect first experience. I very much enjoyed my week in Tettnang. Mr. M is cuddly and likes to be near you, Anastasia is initially a bit shy but just needs some time to warm up. The apartment is clean and spacious with a large terrace where it's nice to sit in the mornings and evenings and watch the cats. Communication with Regina was always good, she took a lot of time to show me around, explain everything and answer any questions, and made me feel very welcome, plus she has laminated notes in the kitchen with all the important things written down, which I found quite helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful, endless hiking opportunities, and, of course, water sports. There'll be something for everyone to explore. Thanks Regina!
ChoCho was a delight to sit for from her first meow and somersaults welcoming me in to the moment she meowed goodbye. Her lap naps are the best. I added face massages to her spa routine (her baths while in my lap) and in return she gave me mini-baths (loving licks). She is curious and playful for her age; I love her mischievous side as much as her cuddly one. Courtney is very organized, an excellent communicator, and clear with instructions. We had a video walk through in advance given her early morning departure. Her sitter guide is as thorough as are her notes. When it’s unusually cold outside (which it was) it’s unfortunately unusually cold inside - so it is with typical poorly insulated Portuguese homes without central heating. Bundle up for a winter sit and enjoy your fur blanket, ChoCho! Aveiro is a quaint coastal town, even in the rainy season. Locals are helpful and friendly, and the touristy tuk-tuk tour is worth taking. ChoCho's home is walkable to everything, even the train station if needed. There’s loads of Portuguese food and a couple good Italian restaurants nearby too.
