Well really how do you review perfection. I cant recommend theses ladies enough. First I extended my time away, no problem for them. My 2 cats loved Kate and Alison, they are very caring, independent, organised people. They gave me complete confidence in their ability to take care of my furbabies for 6 weeks. Always kept in touch when needed too. Kate and Alison come very high recommended . BRILLANT

Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!
We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!
Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!
Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.

After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.
Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!
Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.
My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.
I have multiple animals that I love, but also love going away on holiday. The looks my dog gives me when I pack my case makes me feel so guilty for leaving him behind. Jo has provided superb care for my dog,horse, cat and chickens. She moves into my house meaning the animals are able to stay in their own enviroment. She makes sure she sticks to their regular routine making the separation from their family stress free. Knowing they are being so well cared for means I can enjoy my break. Sometimes she even brings her own dog, who mine has become best buddies with. I always know I will come back to a tidy house and happy pets. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Amazing dog care! Jo’s love for animals is so evident and the care she gives is so bespoke. Nothing is a problem. If we’re running late or early with our dog, it’s never a problem. A really personable down to earth lovely lady who is trusted by our dog and our whole family!

My dog Bambi, spent last weekend here for the first time, the kennels are set in a beautiful location and it was quite quiet when we arrived. My dog is always a bit nervous in new settings but Aaron made her feel comfortable. When I asked for an update over the weekend, I was given one and when I picked my dog up, she looked really happy. Her weight had stayed the same, coat was in good condition and she didn't have a kennel smell to her. Both Aaron and Leanne were there when I picked her up and told me how good she had been. I was delighted with the service at Hartshill, i felt my dog had been really well cared for. I would not hesitate to book my dog back in or to recommend Hartshill to others!
amazing kennels that i can’t recommend enough! my dogs came back relaxed and happy which hasn’t all always been the case at other kennels. we have a vizla who can go on hunger strike and lose lots of weight or ignore us when we return and neither has happened. knowing he’s happy is so important now he’s got older, our little sausage dog was happy too! highly recommend and will always being using for future doggy holidays!
Owned by a really friendly couple who were able to take my borzoi in very last minute when my initial sitter had cancelled. There's no hiding the passion they have for the dogs in their care. I haven't used kennels for any of my current dogs before, but will absolutely be using them again if I need to get the big one looked after; she's a sensitive soul and there would be absolutely no hiding it if she'd had a bad time, but she came out as full of enthusiasm and energy as ever and seemed in no rush to leave, so she must have felt right at home there!

Used this kennels recently, communication from Leanne was great from booking to pickup. We had a really friendly welcome and our 2 dogs were really well looked after. We paid additional for a bath and they came back looking and smelling beautiful. Lovely kennels, will definitely use again if we are in the area.
This has recently been taken over by new owners and having previously used Hartshill for approximately 4 years we are so glad that another caring and clearly dog loving family have taken over at Hartshill. The option of a wash and groom at the end of their stay is a revelation. We will continue to use and recommend Hartshill to our friends.
Our cat has started coming here and settles within a day or two. Claire keeps me informed during the stay how she's doing. Friendly and lovely location.
I'm an experienced Collie owner of many years, having in the past rescued border collies! I'm very careful where I board my collies, but can recommend Jim and Claire without any qualms!! In fact surfeit to say, the lads come back to me better mannered!! That is saying something! The boys know when I turn into the drive and woof with delight! So much so they will be on 'their hols 3 times this year's if Hartshill have room!! Not many, people in my experience, have as much affinity with animals as Hartshill
Have been with Jim on and off for about 4 years, Millie is a Black lab, who thanks to Jim, is now almost a saint. I have the next generation Choc Lab attending classes. which is good for social experiance. When I feel I am tearing my hair out, Jim will come down to me and sort us out and explain where I am going wrong - He is a very good on his subject and a truely kind person
I’m so glad we found WDWW! Our boy absolutely loves Allana and is so settled when she does overnight sits with him. I really hope we never have to find anyone else! Allana is clearly naturally gifted with caring for animals, and puts you completely at ease when caring for your pet. Lovely regular updates, and always a happy waggy tail when we come home! If you’re looking for care for your pets within Allana’s area, I 110% recommend choosing WDWW! I no longer worry when I’m away, and I’ve never felt so confident in overnight care for my dog.
Allana is the best cat sitter we have ever had so attentive and caring went above and beyond looking after our cats needs ....even our timid kitty was comfortable with her very reasonable rates would 100% recommend.
