I cannot say more beautiful things about my time with Ellie and Luna! I fell head over heels for these super affectionate pups. Their mom, Robin, was such a lovely host and so communicative. The neighborhood is super vibrant and friendly. These pups are beyond special, and it was an honor to care for them!
Sharing this beautiful apartment with Judah was an absolute joy. Judah is as described…personality plus! He does love his walks in the Golden Gate park or around the streets and he happily greets young and old. He is beyond happy at the beach. People stop to love him up and even ask for his picture! At home he is happy to play, do “lessons”, cuddle up, chill, and share your bed with his favourite stuffy. Lauren and Kevin are kind and very welcoming. We went out to a great local restaurant the first evening. Kevin taught me how to make a great cup of coffee. I made a trip to their café which was fabulous! The apartment is well appointed and close to great transportation to explore the city. Lauren prepared a comprehensive welcome guide and after spending the time with them pre trip I felt well prepared to care for Judah and the apartment. Communication was excellent throughout. Having the chance to spend time with this lovely boy was a rewarding experience. Saying good bye is tough but knowing Judah is totally loved and so well taken care of completed a fantastic sit. 100% recommend.
Darcy is a talented artist and really fun person, and her home is gorgeous. The wall of windows looking out onto the water is so peaceful! I really enjoyed sitting on the couch taking turns with Amber and Sheboo— snuggling first one, and then the other, while looking at that view. I took Amber for walks on the trails nearby. I was fortunate to have good weather, but there are dog towels in case she gets muddy paws. Amber goes off leash in the woods and is good about coming back for treats. She seemed to never wander too far up the trail anyway. She’s a big love bug— a little chest massage makes her eyes close in relaxation. Sheboo is a great cat, very affectionate and easygoing. She often likes to sleep in her own chair in the other room, but will usually come running if you say her name. She loves to interact. The kitchen isn’t large & there isn’t much counter space, but I had no trouble cooking meals for myself. And there are some great restaurants within a 30 minute drive, too. This place was a perfect little getaway. I’m actually already planning to stay again soon.
Great location and great doggos they where really easy and affectionate too winter storm had us a lil bit kept inside it was still a fun time enjoyed getting to sit with them while I had the opportunity highly recommend
What a wonderful sit. Maddie and Monty have completely different personalities. Slowly Monty will show you his personality while Maddie wears her heart on her sleeve. Beautiful friendly dogs, wonderful owners and a great, relaxed sit. The house has all mod cons and keeps fresh all day long, provided the doors are opened during the cooler hours and then closed throughout the day. The town of Ourique is close by for shopping and the neighbors are friendly. A great place to relax and enjoy nature along with the 2 stars of the place: Maddie and Monty. Would absolutely love to come back again.
Peanut is such a fun and entertaining cat, he loves to play and has so much personality! We loved taking him outside on the harness and watching him chase toys inside. Home is cozy and in a great/walkable location close to shops, groceries, and restaurants. Hosts are easy to communicate with and available for any needs. Would highly recommend this house sit!

Absolutely delighted with Caroline and Ant’s services! They recently looked after our very elderly cat whilst we were on holiday and we were so pleased with everything they did. Caroline and Ant were extremely responsive before, during and after the period they provided their services to us while we were away. They took wonderful care of Tilly and carried out a thorough visit to our home before we went away to take all the necessary details and meet Tilly. She seemed much more relaxed in the photos we were sent than when we’ve had her in a cattery so we are really pleased.

Jeannie is a lovely lady, she placed my beloved dogs with wonderful host's who looked after them as there own. I decided to become a host my self now and I love it in fact I fell in love with one particular dog and fingers crossed I will look after her again sometime this year. Barking Mad is everything you could want for your beloved dogs.

We are so grateful for finding Muddy Paws after having a few bad experiences with doggy daycare previously. Coco absolutely loves going and can't wait to get out of the car. We feel reassured that Coco's having a great time while we are at work and couldn't be cared for by anyone better. We get lots of photo updates throughout the day. Lisa and Muddy Paws are incredible, we would definitely recommend.
We took Clover, our lab, so she could socialise with other dogs and it's done her so much good to be with Lisa and her pack at Muddy Paws. Clover has had a great time meeting new dogs and playing, it's really helped grow her confidence and even better for her to be around Lisa's young children as she doesn't usually hang out with kids. I always know with Lisa she will be well looked after and loved - cannot recommend enough! :D
All that the previous reviews have said has been our experience too. Muddy Paws is an excellent service for dog owners who want to know their dog will be exercised, socialised and happy. Lisa takes care to make sure that when she takes on a new dog it will fit into the group and the result is evident in a very waggy tail at the end of a busy day! It is delightful to see how well Lisa's two very young children interact with the animals in their care and visa versa. Lisa has a very professional approach combined with a friendly manner and so I would have no hesitation recommending Muddy Paws.

Lisa is the best doggy care one could wish for. Reliable, trustworthy, friendly, we only had Layla a few weeks when we found Lisa and she fell in love with Layla right away and so did her doggy Dexter and the love affair began. Layla loved being with Lisa she wouldn’t want to leave when I went to pick her up. Sadly we moved away from the area and we miss them very much, when we say Dexters name she looks for him at the door. Can’t recommend Muddypaws dog boarding highly enough - Lorna & Layla x
Professional, efficient, reliable, clean, loving & caring environment. It’s only been a couple of weeks since we have been sending our pup to Lisa’s Muddy paws day care. I wished we had found her earlier as our two year old Maltipoo simply loves going there and is so very fond of Lisa! Her home environment feels safe and welcoming and it’s so apparent that our pup, Coco loves spending time there with other pups and sharing cuddles with Lisa. I feel at ease sending her there as it’s bound to be a day filled with fun activities in a caring loving environment where I know rules are being followed. I get pictorial updates of the day and Lisa is very efficient at communicating any issues of the day or otherwise. Overall I feel my pup is in a safe place & being looked after as she is when home! Therefore I highly recommend Muddy 🐾.
Muddypaws are AMAZING! Found through a friend. Can highly recommend. We have used other boarders in the past and Lisa is so passionate about her business. We get so many photos on the days our dog visits. We know she is well loved and she loves going too.
Rosy has the most amazing time with Lisa at Muddy Paws daycare. She can’t wait to get in the door! It gives her the socialisation with other dogs in the pack that she craves and comes home hungry and ready for a nap! Highly Recommend Lisa and Muddy Paws.
Our rabbit stayed at Creature Comforts for a full month this summer, she was well look after and very happy there. Caroline make us feel confident that she will have look after her very well, and my kids should not be worry about her during our holiday. We will definitely use again for our rabbit.
We have been very lucky to have been using Creature Comforts for about 5 years now for our 2 rabbits. They absolutely love going to stay and it is often tricky to catch them when it is time to go home! The set up is amazing, in a beautiful garden with hutch/run combos set up so the rabbits can all see each other. Caroline is lovely and extremely accommodating. She clearly cares about each and every animal she is looking after. I could not recommend this enough, I have complete peace of mind when we are away as I know how well looked after and happy the rabbits are.
Caroline at Creature Comforts is probably one of the most loveliest people I have ever met and the love and care she provides to the boarding pets is simply outstanding. I was nervous about leaving my rabbits for the first time back in May, however Caroline soon put my mind at ease and, as promised, kept me updated throughout my holiday on how they were doing. I also left them in July and I just know they were so excited to be back for their little holiday at creature comforts! I have unfortunately had to re-home my rabbits, however I have told their new owner she MUST use creature comforts boarding if she ever goes away! THANK YOU Caroline for taking great care of my rabbits, I know they would love to see you again soon.
Caroline is absolutely crazy about animals (in a lovely way). She's taken good care of our little hamsters, always handling them daily and giving them treats. I can't imagine a better person to entrust with our pets. Totally recommended!
Our guinea pigs have been regular visitors for 5 years now and have been very well looked after every time. The many large hutches and runs in her garden appear clean and well maintained (and usually filled by regular customers) and Caroline clearly cares about the welfare of all the animals. We will continue using as long as we can.
We were so happy to find Creature Comforts to look after our two rabbits. The main thing for us was that our bunnies would have enough space, so seeing that the owners supported the Rabbit Welfare Association was important to us. The rabbits had a lovely hutch and attached run in a beautiful garden, with plenty of fresh grass, hay and greens to nibble on. The owner obviously gave our rabbits lots of attention and care while we were away. We wouldn't hesitate to use Creature Comforts again. Many thanks!
We have left our 3 bunnies in the caring and capable hands of Caroline at Creature Comforts several times in the past couple of years. (Side note: perhaps my effusive alliteration is a sign of how happy I am we found her!) Caroline feels like an old friend even on the first meeting and it is immediately clear how much she loves animals and is keen to get to know their individual personalities so she can best cater to their needs. She is happy to send WhatsApp updates and pictures on request to keep your mind at rest that your fur babies are doing ok and she is very responsive and flexible when arranging drop-off and pick-up. Our bunnies always come back revitalised after having a lovely holiday of their own! Plus the hutches are such good quality we've decided to modify our own so they are more like hers (e.g: using soft plastic coating so the hutches can stand on grass but are still digsafe). We wouldn't leave our bunnies with anyone else. I fully recommend her services to anyone! :)
Caroline is excellent and I am so thrilled to have found her. The grass runs are attached to the hutches so the bunnies can go where they please when they want to. Whenever I have been all the hutches and runs that I see are immaculate and all the rabbits are obviously very well cared for and loved. A 5* bunny hotel.
We discovered Creature Comforts small animal boarding approximately a year ago to this month and it was a huge relief for us. We have 3 rabbits who are basically like our children and we love them to bits. We had tried and tested 3 or 4 various small animal boarding places around Oxfordshire over the past 3 years but each time we left our rabbits behind our minds would fill with doubt and worry. Space was our biggest concern. Some places simply didn't have the space to have runs attached to the hutches at all, some didn't have the 6ft x 6ft hutches that the RWAF recommend as standard practice, and some just had hutches stacked on top of hutches and the rabbits had to wait to be lifted down to a run to exercise and stretch their legs. Location was also a key factor for us because we never felt comfortable leaving the bunnies in the back garden of a big housing estate or near to a main road. Our oldest female bun suffered an injury at one boarding place and as soon as we had returned from holiday we had to take her to the vets for treatment. We felt terrible for her and frustrated not to have been notified. We faced a dilemma but as luck would have it we eventually stumbled upon Creature Comforts' beautiful website and saw that it was approved by the RWAF. In excitement we contacted Caroline straight away and within days we were able to visit and see the place for ourselves. Creature Comforts is set in beautiful surroundings and provides a wonderful safe sanctuary for rabbits and small animals who are provided with ample space to run, jump and binky as they should and be cared for by someone who understands their dietary and physical needs.
Caroline is the most kind and caring person you could ask to care for your pet. For the last three years Caroline has provided excellent care for our pet dog Rooi; she walks him in the week for us and has provided numerous pet sitting visits. Caroline is reliable, trustworthy and has excellent knowledge about caring for pets. She goes above and beyond and treats Rooi as part of her own family. We know he’s in safe hands and don’t know what we would do without her. Thank you Caroline.
Updated: July 13th 2023 For several years now the team at My Best Friend Dog Care have helped us out when our daughter's dog,Huxley, our furry grandson comes to stay. They always manage to fit him in. Even at short notice. Today it was Lauren who has done an excellent job. As well as him looking great, he also always seems to enjoy the experience. We really can't recommend this place more highly. Thanks to all the staff who provide such a friendly and professional service. Updated: December 2022 This is a superb dog groomers. At very short notice they were able to accommodate a grooming for the dog of a family member. The dog was staying with us for a few weeks. The dog loved it and looked really tidy. We will certainly use this place again in the future, when our doggy guest is with us 🐶 Indeed we have returned : Once again Clara provided a superb grooming for our guest dog. Indeed his next visit is already booked. It is reassuring to know that such a professional service is available close by. As 2022 draws to a close, yet again our visiting dog has managed to secure several visits to Clara and her team, during his stays with us. Each time he returns looking and smelling great. He is also full of vim and vigour when we collect him.
I have used My Best Friend Dog Care for both grooming and for boarding and can't recommend the service I have received highly enough. My elderly (and quite smelly) dog always comes away looking and smelling lovely from his grooming sessions. When I needed to use Jon and Clara's boarding services they took great care to match their carer with my dog's needs and I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again. I can't think of one thing I would change about the experiences we have had over the last two years and I would highly recommend MBFC to any dog owner.
Highly recommend , Jon has found some brilliant carers to have our dogs when we are away , they have always been well looked after and have had a great time , Put your trust in Jon if you are looking for dog boarding when you are away , he will match you and your dogs to the right people. Always professional with booking the dogs in to meeting the carers and sending out invoices. Highly recommend My Best Friend Dog Care. Left our 9 month old Golden Retriever with Jon and Clara for the day and I couldn't be happier. Penny was well looked after and came home one happy pup. Lovely large garden so they can roam around freely, long walks and the online booking system is great.
We have always used My Best Friend for all of our dogs and have never once been disappointed in the care and service they have demonstrated. Jon and his team are fantastic, trustworthy and very reliable. They go above and beyond just caring for our dogs. All of our dogs have been extremely well cared for, loved and fussed over just like we have never been away. My puppy loves going to Jon and Clara twice a week, I think it's the highlight for him! He jumps out of the car, tail wagging, and pulls all the way to the gate! He has the opportunity to go for walks off lead as well as access to the garden all day and a nice sleeping area if he is tired (which is hardly ever!) I would highly recommend this service!
Poppy was welcomed by Jon And went off happily with him . I received a text that evening to say she was settled and doing fine. When we picked her up after four days she was happy and tailwagging. Visited MBF last week for a much needed nail clipping for Henny (GSP). Really impressed with the lockdown safety measures in place with a one in-one out system and a sanitiser station outside, and inside with a defined area for customers behind a series of screens, whilst everyone was fully masked. It’s clear that Clara, Jon, Lynsey & Molly are all doing their best to look after our pooches and their owners during the pandemic. We look forward coming back, hopefully in better times, but for now this will have to do! Well done gang, keep up the good work.
The We Love Pets team have been walking my two border terriers for the past 7 years, more recently adding my Whippet puppy to the crew! Over 7 years Claire & her team have got to know my dogs really well, understanding the dogs quirks, especially as they are getting older, adapting especially as their needs have changed. Our current walker has been walking the dogs for a while now, including the whippet baby! The dogs love her she loves & cares for them, they’re always delighted to see her and enjoy their walks. She looks out for their welfare & notices when something is not quite right. More recently we have been using the home boarding services, this is a really welcome service where I don’t want my elderly dogs staying in kennel, I also like the fact that there is someone in the house. I feel I can go away on business or holiday and know that my dogs and home being in safe hands with a totally trustworthy team who keep me up to date with what’s going on at home! We Love Pets offer an incredible personal service with a loving touch for your pets, I would highly recommend them.
There are not many people who are brave enough to look after three boisterous weimaraners, but Claire has welcomed this wholeheartedly! My dogs absolutely love Claire, and can’t wait for their cuddles. She is so attentive to their individual needs, and she spends lots of time with them in the garden and making sure that everything is operating just right. Claire also looks after my house with the dogs in it, rather than us worrying about kennels or having to take them to someone else’s house, which provides us with so much confidence. Claire is a fab dog walker, takes the time to get to know both the family and their pets. By understanding the needs and requirements of the dogs she’s able to plan and execute wonderful walks either alone of with a buddy. When odd occasions arise and she’s unable to attend, a friendly colleague is always on hand. Never out of the blue as she ensures that the customer has previously met the colleague beforehand. Our collie has grown very fond of her and always looks forward to his next adventure! I would recommend Claire as she is fully insured and background checked. Also for her expertise and walk rate is very competitive.

We have been using We Love Pets Cirencester for a few years now. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are great. Completely reliable and ensure our pets get their usual pettings as well as food and the basics. When our travel plans changed unexpectedly they were able to add us to their busy schedule. When I met with Melanie last summer to chat about daycare for our puppy, Waffle, I was immediately incredibly impressed as I was a very nervous new puppy mum! Melanie has been looking after my puppy for the last three months and she has been everything I could have wished for and more. My pup comes home tired from a long day of fun, and can’t wait to be back, often not wanting to leave! Having quite an irregular work pattern and sometimes needing short notice care, Melanie has always been so accommodating and flexible which has been invaluable. It is reassuring to know that my pup is getting top quality care and being well socialised. I trust Melanie completely and I am very happy knowing he is being so well looked after. Melanie was a God send for me. Having a puppy and a job at the same time is not easy to manage. She made it easy for me. Melanie is kind and professional, and my young puppy Henry has had a great time going to hers. He was super happy to go each day and came home exhausted from a happy day of play each time. Dougal has been going to Melanie's for about 4 years now. He goes for day care once or twice a week and also for his holidays (!) Dougal is always greeted by Melanie with a big smile and he loves to lay on his back and have his tummy tickled when he is dropped off. A day at Melanie's is filled with lovely long walks (even on cold, wet, windy days - that's dedication from Melanie !) cuddles and plenty of playtime. What could be better ! I trust Melanie 100pc. In the last few years when the weather has been unbearably hot during the summer months, Melanie made sure that the dogs were kept safe from the dangers of overheating. Each dog was provided with a cooling coat - and the pooches were even treated to a paddling pool and gazebo in the garden - amazing ! Melanie is just brilliant, the best really. Always reliable, incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. Nothing is ever too much trouble. We are incredibly lucky to have found her. Dougal comes home exhausted but oh so happy !
I have had Melanie look after My retriever several times and each time, he’s come away happy, tired and content! He got extremely excited each time he caught sight of her and I could not recommend this lady enough. Your loved one and fur baby will thank you from the bottom of its paws 🐾 100% recommend. My two lively dogs have stayed with Melanie on a few occasions and have been very happy and most of all had a lot of love and attention. Melanie is very caring and obviously very happy in her work. Looking forward to when we can next have a holiday as well as Ziva and Rascal.

Melanie goes out of her way to help - with advice, when you're in need, to make sure all dogs are safe and very well-cared for.. you name it. My dog is unbelievably happy with our 'best friend' - everything you could hope for; could not ask for more!

Rudy had a fabulous stay at Pet Whisperers hotel for 11 nights. We had regular updates, videos and pictures of our Boy, all were really appreciated! We could relax knowing that our boy was well looked after and constantly stimulated during the day, tired and comfortable during the night. Oxford Pet Whisperers are an exceptional team of caring and dedicated professionals whom I completely trust with our puppy. The heartwarming videos they share on Instagram always brighten my day, showing all the happy dogs playing and enjoying themselves. They provide a wide range of activities and enrichment experiences, and you can even book additional services like baths, tail trims, and full grooming. Amber absolutely loves her time with them and has grown so much more confident since she started attending. I would highly recommend Oxford Pet Whisperers to anyone looking to enhance their puppy’s socialisation. Or to anyone needing day care facilities due to work schedules.
Our golden retriever Ella is a regular daycare visitor and this year we tried the doggy hotel facilities for the first time. It gave us peace of mind as we knew she will be comfortable knowing all staff and environment, and she absolutely loved it, I don't think she was very impressed when we turned up to pick her up 5 days later, she wanted to carry on with the fun! We had a couple of updates on how she is getting on which was lovely to have. And you can see what your pup is up to during the days on Instagram account. Would definitely recommend this over regular kennels!
Lovely introduction. The business has an amazing concept with everything to make the dogs and the owners happy. So much space and all is clean and safe. Even the air gets filtered. My dog didn't want to come with me home after 30 minutes there.
once again Oxford pet whisperer have outdone themselves my little baby Frenchie had the time of his life actually came back with some extra manners. They also managed to squeeze me in a short note as I had to go away thank you very much for everything you’ve done.
We booked our dog in for a puppy groom last year. We looked online and saw that it was going to cost £10 but were surprised by hidden charges and ended up paying around £35-£40. The female groomer was not friendly towards our dog and did not even ask for his name, then was rude when we arrived back a few minutes late to collect him. He did not look well groomed and certainly did not look happy in his post groom photo (see pic). Upon returning home we found out why as the groomer had cut him under the eye and did not tell us. It looked like she had just washed the wound and covered it up. Luckily it did not become infected. We were very displeased and frankly disgusted with the service but due to other factors in life getting in the way at the time we never reached out to Oxford Pet Whisperers, hence the late review. We would certainly not return nor recommend their services to anyone else.
From the start, they have been very accommodating, professional and so friendly! We love the amount of time our pup gets to play and socialise with her friends as well as the first week report card and ongoing photos we can see on social media during her visits! A really well-run and dog centric business who we will be sure to continue to use 👍🏻
All I can say is that this company provides a fantastic service - my 16 week Frenchie had the time of his life playing and mixing with the other dog and staff. thanks for all the support and kindness you gave to my little boy.
Thank you so much for another fabulous groom on Friday. The family commented on how silky soft his coat was and he smelt fabulous. Teddy is so happy at OPW he goes off happily and comes home content and in need of a good long snooze. Having a bath/groom at OPW is a must, especially if the children/grandchildren are home for the weekend as Teddy looks and smells great. Roll on his Christmas groom . This is Teddy asking the cats to smell his lovely clean coat.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Jamie, Natalie and the team are amazing. I’ve been sending my dog Cooper to oxford pet whisperers for a year and a half now since he was a puppy and I wouldn’t dream of using any other daycare/dog walking service. They are experts in their field and take such good care of Cooper. He comes home tired out for the evening after a day at daycare and as soon as I turn the corner in to the car park to drop him off, he gets so excited! The pick up and play service is great too as it allows me to be a lot more flexible with work! The daily updates on Instagram are fantastic as it allows you to see what your dogs been getting up to in the day. Couldn’t give a more glowing review ⭐️
