We had the best time sitting Jun and Phantom! They were the sweetest, best behaved, and adorable beagles ever. Jeff’s home was immaculate and had every comfort you could want. The first thing we did was jump in the heated pool to relax and watch the boats go by on the river. We would absolutely watch them again and highly recommend this sit.
We had a wonderful time at Tanyas place. Her pets, Caramel and Nutmeg ,the cats, were easy to care for and friendly. The gerbil was entertaining and liked being chatted to. Tanya had left lots of food and instructions for caring, so there were no problems. Caramel loved visiting places in the village, but always reappeared for meals. Cropredy was in a very handy location for places of interest and historical sights. We learnt a lot about the surrounding area and Banbury. We enjoyed being in Tanyas house, which was comfortable, well equipped and with a lovely private garden. Once again, Tanya left good instructions for rubbish collection times and local handy phone numbers. She even continued her milk and juice delivery for us to enjoy. We felt privileged to be caring for Tanyas place, and the opportunity it provided for our travels. Thank you
We had a wonderful time in Santa Barbara with Xena and we loved her humans too! We arrived the night before and enjoyed dinner and breakfast with Myla and Danny while we got to know Xena and all the details for her care. Communication was excellent and always quick if we had a question. And we got to know some of the neighbors so we had extra support if needed. That turned into some new friends and a few playdates for the pups. Their home is very comfortable, we had everything we needed and it's close to all of the shops and restaurants so it was easy to explore. Plus, walking distance to the beach, so we went with Xena every day. And although there were some renovations going on, we were fully informed before accepting the sit, and it really wasn't disruptive. We'd certainly recommend sitting for Xena if you ever get a chance. Thanks for the opportunity Myla and Danny, please give Xena a hug for us!
It was a great experience. On the first evening Mark created a delicious welcome meal. Melissa and Mark‘s home is a beautiful house with a beautiful panorama to the mountains. The girls (chicken) 🐓are very funny. It was so nice to watch them in the morning, on the day and in the evening, when they went to their chicken house ( full automatically) Jouncey 🐈is a very easy care cat. She find her food ( a mouse, or two …) in the beautiful garden. ;-))) We could pick the vegetables 🍅 🥒🥕 for our meal. 😋 Sometimes we hiked on beautiful paths near the Chalet. It was a nice time and we miss the chicken and Jouncey already now. Thank you Melissa and Mark. We hope, we see you again.
We have just returned from a lovely week of house and animal caring for Lorraine and Kerrie. What friendly, relaxed hosts they are and they made us feel comfortable and confident as we began what was our first ever house sit for THS. It was great fun looking after Winston (or ‘big dog’ as we called him) and Gwen, who were the best of company on our lovely walks in the Welsh countryside and when cuddling up in the evenings. All three cats, Loki, George and Nebs, were easy going and nice to have around. As promised by Kerrie and Lorraine, the geese, sheep and goat (Vinnie) were no trouble at all. Thank you Lorraine and Kerrie! All the best, Chas & Suzan PS thanks for the Bara Brith and Welsh cakes - they were delicious.
Muffin is a character and this sit is definitely suited to real cat-lovers and it's best for those who appreciate cats who've had a challenging start to life (as many of the cats in Spain do - it's just so lovely that people have big hearts and who open their homes to foster and adopt rescue cats) as Muffin certainly likes a lot of attention and he'll reward you with cat poses worthy of a cat version of Vogue magazine and lots of interaction with his toys. He'll also keep you company if you're working from home, as I was. Jessica gives such accurate information about Muffin's schedule that you'll know what to expect and yes, Muffin will undoubtedly wake you around 6am even on the weekends so the sit is suited to you if you're also an early riser. I really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony early in the day watching the colours in the sky and the city gradually get busier with Muffin by my side or watching guard on both sides of the balcony. Btw the balcony is a gorgeous green and comfy space to sit out in now as Jessica's beautiful eye for design has spread to this space too - you'll really enjoy taking a break and sitting out here. Please only take the sit if you're happy to not be out too much. I brought Muffin to the supermarket with me in his carry backpack and I ventured out without him firstly for only 15 - 20 minutes and then gradually increased the time (but never more than 4 hours) so that Muffin wouldn't be anxious. He did miss his lovely owners from time and time and sometimes couldn't be distracted from mewing for them so he does prefer it having people around. Jessica and Ted were so lovely and their home is so comfortable, well-designed and artistically furnished. I always prefer to meet owners beforehand if at all possible as it's nicer for the pets and it's very reassuring for sitter and pet-owner alike and I was delighted to be able to spend time with Jessica and Ted prior to their departure. They left a bottle of wine and a lovely gift for me too. I love when owners are happy to receive very regular photos, news and videos of their pets as it's a pleasure to share the funny and interesting moments with them.
