Emma & Tristan

Emma and Tristan were awesome! This was my 2nd time using Zeewoi and Oliver staying home with someone vs going to their house. He does really well at other peoples homes, but he gets separation “sadness” when he is home without me so I was worried because I was gone the week prior. They texted me and told me he paced around the apartment when they got there and sent me a photo of Tristan and Oliver with his chew toy in his mouth, and that is exactly how he acts when I walk in the door so I knew he was happy and in great hands! Thank you so much for taking care of him!! Would love to have you again!

Kayla was super responsive from the start. It actually went so easy that I was a bit concerned at the beginning 😅 but no, she’s just great. Highly recommend Kayla!

Emmi

Emmi kindly agreed to come the day before I left which was much appreciated and I was happy to pick her up from the train station. She was a lovely bubbly, friendly person, easy to have in my home. Emmi contacted me once when I was away with a picture of Alfie on a walk and on one other occasion to seek help with feeding Alfie as she had a personal appt that overlapped his evening meal time. I was happy to do this as had offered support like that from sister who lived nearby if she wanted to leave him for longer than the preferred 4-5 hours, something I offer to all my sitters so they can enjoy the local area. Unfortunately she did leave him for longer than I anticipated or my sister would have taken him to her house. I think Emmi struggled with planning ahead travel arrangements to and from Edinburgh perhaps not anticipating how long buses took, though trains half the time but don’t run after midnight. Alfie seemed relaxed around Emmi though I think his walking and feeding routine was not as he was accustomed to. I always tell sitters just to leave the bedding etc as I am happy to do all that when I get home preferring the attention to be on Alfie. Emmi left my home tidy though I would have preferred half eaten food to have been removed from the fridge and maybe the bathroom bin emptied Emmi seemed to have left her packing until the very last minute so was a bit rushed when I got home but we did make it to the train station in time for her onward journey

Cathy and Mike were excellent! They are true dog lovers and gave my 2 pugs an abundance of TLC from the time they arrived. They were very communicative with me and sent pictures and info on my dogs. They also watered my flower garden, dealt with mail and packages and left the house spotless. This included washing linens and bath towels prior to our return. They are delightful to have in your home and to give your dog all the attention they could ask for. I definitely would recommend and I would love to have them return in the future.

Having seen the reviews from other home owners, we knew we would be leaving our home and pets in good hands with Wendy and Dave, and when we met up with them a month before we were due to leave, we felt our confidence was very well placed. The best sign was our Golden Retriever Henry bouncing out the door to greet Dave as a long lost friend. What a great start! This was our first long sit with international travellers coming to our home, and it was so good to have Wendy and Dave reassure us that we were doing everything right in preparation, with them having their own travelling checklist to prompt us on a few things we hadn't thought of. We were also very comfortable leaving our car for them , as they have a good deal of experience with driving 'on the wrong side' of the road, and are mature drivers as are we. We knew that our house would be in good hands , and we left everyhing as clean, neat and tidy as we would like to find in the same situation. What we didn't expect was to find that the fairies have been in our house- admittedly Sydney offered some dreadful weather , really encouraging staying indoors-, but tidy drawers, cleaned outdoor blinds and deck and I keep finding more beautiful surprises.! They do say they like to leave a place as good or better than they find it, but I have no words for the relief it has been to come home from a cold Northern winter month away, tired and not all that well, and find our home so cared for.
And Henry? He was loved, entertained, walked , comforted during the many bouts of wind , rain and thunderstorms that were thrown around Sydney over Christmas and New Year. He was a very happy dog. Even our stand offish cat Lily came for evening cuddles with Wendy.
If we time a trip away so that we can welcome Wendy and Dave into our home again, we will do just that in a heartbeat.

The stakes are quite high when you leave your home and pet in somebody elses care for a whole month. So I was delighted to make contact with Monica. Prior to the sit, we established a rapport on a video call noting common interests of geology and guitar playing. Monica came well prepared having read and digested the welcome guide. She made the most of the public transport links with a bus stop nearby providing transit to and from the train station in Aberdeen. During the sit she kept me up to date with messages as the odd domestic issue emerged and was resolved. Monica made the most of the cafes in the village and was interviewed by a local radio station - the interviewer also being a dog lover. Milly had a wonderful time with her with walks around the village and environs. I returned home to a happy, health dog, tidy home - and cake. We will keep in touch and hope to meet up later in the year in Edinburgh so Milly can be reunited with her new friend.  I recommend Monica unreservedly as a house sitter.
