Kelsey was great! Super sweet, easy to coordinate with, took great care of our dog, Grizzly. She sent us regular photos daily and updated us on how he was doing, which we love. She also left our house as clean as when we left. She also followed our guidance about our dog's paw issues and really went above and beyond!
Jenny and John were very friendly. They showed us around their house on our arrival and also provided us with detailed notes. They were also quick to reply if we had any queries. We all enjoyed the beautiful house and garden and of course Tazzie and Bertie. We didn't see Bertie that much because she is quite shy, but she happily ate all the food we left out for her! Tazzie was very sweet and funny and has a great character. She was always keen for a tummy rub and would love a cuddle on the sofa. There are loads of lovely walks nearby that we could go on from the house, through fields and quiet lanes. We kept Tazzie on the lead the whole time, but she was very well behaved and never pulled. We also enjoyed picking blackberries on our walks as they were plentiful. My daughters loved playing in the large garden - jumping on the trampoline and helping to pick some of the beautiful homegrown flowers. We were lucky with the weather so we were also able to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool too. We would not hesitate to return in the future as Jenny and John made us feel so welcome.
Jeanette is such a warm person and a great host (and great cook). She show me the town and make sure I know my way around the city. I feel immediately welcome at her home. She even goes out of her way to make sure I know the people around. The cats are amazing. Hiram is the drama queen who might be too smart for his own good but so interesting to interact with. He is so sweet and loving but also acts like you have to earn his affection. Casper is just a big good boy, very quiet and enjoy giving kisses to your hand, he love sitting next to you quietly while you on the couch. Elsie despite her small size, can eat more than the boys and usually the first one to wake you up for breakfast. Marlow is so beautiful and perfect place for peaceful walk in the forest. You can walk all the way into the city. I enjoy the beautiful scenery and a little cardio, the town is full of wonderful restaurants and cute cafes.
Kristl & Rachel were very warm and welcoming from beginning to end. Their communication was great and their place is super comfortable. We loved our time with Ernest & Delilah. Ernest is a cute and hilarious pup. Delilah started off a little more coy but warmed up quickly. She’s really chill and super sweet.
Jetson is great fun and a constant source of entertainment. Jaci is lovely and keeps a clean tidy welcoming home. I would highly recommend this as an easy house-sit. I am happy to be returning for another house-sit soon. Jaci even left some very enjoyable provisions to start me off. Thanks Jetson and Jaci
Mecnun is such a gorgeous cat, it was a pleasure to take care of him! He needed some time to get used to us, and we gave him some space in the very beginning, but he slept with us every night, and always checked on us during the day. The place is cozy, and it’s located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Nilay and Gokhan are great hosts, we really enjoyed our time with Mecnun! Great sit, highly recommend!
Though this sit had a few logistical snags, through no fault of anyone, I absolutely loved my time at Gene and Linda's place. The house is beautiful with an amazing view, I saw lots of dolphins and took a dip in the pool almost every day as well as some sunrise/sunset dock sitting! Rocky and Bitzy are sooo cute, Rocky is fun to watch and also the self appointed street monitor always on the look out for "interlopers" ( human and animal alike) to make sure they knew she was in charge, lol. Bitzy was a sweet cuddler but still enough energy to make sure Rocky knew who was really in charge. The location is ideal, a quick bike ride or 15 minute walk to beach and restaurants. I recommend this sit and would definitely come back!
