Probably the best kennel I've visited. Takes berry good care of your pets, and the person running it is just super friendly. She loves dogs and cares for all of the ones brought there like they were her own. Just wonderful. Very homely, too. Doesn't appear to be a kennel, either, so if you just drive by, you may miss it.

Grateful that Carol has been taking care of my two babies. She spends time with both of them outside playing and that really means a lot to me. Would definitely recommend.

The lady we dealt with told us that she worked for them almost 3 years and the bad post were before her. She seems to like dogs and our dogs seemed happy when we picked them up. The place was an older concert building, but the dog runs were a good size. The play time in the yard is an extra $4 a day but that still made it cheaper than a lot of vets and other boarding facilities in the area. Overall our 10 and 8 year old labs seems happy and healthy when we picked up and the price was reasonable.

I highly recommend Top Dog for boarding. I have been going there for almost 10 years, with a 2 year absence when one of my pets was fighting cancer. I have recently returned with a new dog and their care for him is better than ever. They have taken the time to get to know my dog Sam and are very willing to provide the specific care that he requires, i.e., associated with his skin allergies, special diet, and medication. They always take the time with me to get all the specific instructions that are needed for his care. Sam has a good experience at the kennel and appears to enjoy his time there.

The best boarding kennel I've ever seen. They are so good with your animals. They also provide grooming and other animal services. Definitely will use them again

Our dogs are always healthy and happy when we pick them up. The dog runs are a good size, and they get daily yard time when they clean the runs.

I toured many kennels in the area, before finding Regine at Monrovia. She takes such awesome care of my 15 year old beagle, I don't have to worry about going on vacation. I had one instance last year, where my dog was previously on a certain combination of medicines with his food. I brought him this time, and there was one deletion from the regimen, and a change. I had forgotten about the med we deleted and so only described current meds. About 10 minutes after I left, Regine actually called me on my cell to check about the med we deleted! She remembered what he got before and was concerned I had just forgotten to bring it and wanted to catch me before I left town. How many kennels can you say you trust to have that kind of care and attention??!! The facility is very clean, and she is making improvements all the time. She is VERY caring and obviously loves animals so much. My dogs are happy to go there, time after time, and I think that says it all! The grooming: I've taken my cat and dogs and they do an amazing job! For boarding, I won't go anywhere else. Belinda has my undying loyalty and she deserves it.

The gals here love your fur baby as if it were their own. They take excellent care, kennels are clean and have access to outside as well as I side. We’ve been using this place for 12 years! Also, grooming is awesome! Pricing is great!

I have been using Monrovia Boarding and Grooming for over 3 years. I was always impressed with the personal attention my 2 dogs received from Regine and now from Belinda. I'm pleased with the grooming and I never worry about leaving them in the kennel. It's always clean. Great location!

I don't want to tell you anything good because I hate it when I call to board my dog and they are booked up and then I have to take my dog to a kennel I don't like. 7.30.2021 Three years later and this is still our "go to" kennel.

We are simply overjoyed with the service our girls received from Belinda and the team at Monrovia Pet Boarding and Grooming. Our babies can call this place home away from home, from here on in.

Belinda does a fabulous job with the dogs. She is a great groomer! While my Pomeranian, Chauncey, was alive, she was always so good to him and he looked beautiful every time I picked him up. She grooms my little Yorkie, Petunia, and always makes her look adorable! We have also boarded all three of our dogs here in the past and they have always done very well. This is a great place! I will not take my dog anywhere else to be groomed. I have had very bad incidents happen at PetSmart and very bad grooming done at Petco. Again, best place in town!!!💖💖💖

Regine is so kind and caring with our dog when we have him boarded with her. She takes such great care and remembers his own needs when he is there. I would HIGHLY recommend Monrovia Boarding and Grooming for boarding your pets. And for grooming, she has done a great job with our miniature schnauzer. You can't go wrong with taking your pets here. She's great!

This is probably the best boarding and grooming location I have found for my two dogs (1 Catahula - 1 mix Chow/Golden). The Kennels are clean and exceptionally large and the Grooming for my Chow mix was done today and it looks GREAT. Highly recommend.

I am *so* glad we came across Petz Pack recently while searching around for yet another boarding option! Nothing against some of the larger boarding centers... especially the local ones. They do the best they can, but there is only so much care and attention even the best-intentioned group of folks can provide to any single pet with that model. Petz Pack offers a completely different approach, which is fantastic! We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Mike, then found room for our big, furry "extended family member" with Agustina at Bell Grove. Both were a delight, and for the first time in years, we took a no-pets family trip with no worries and absolutely no guilt. We loved the daily pics and the comfort of knowing our big girl was not only having her basic needs (food, water, "restroom") taken care of, but that she was able to run, play, have fun, and rest in a home and yard much like our own -- First time in a very long time that we picked her up and she wasn't a nervous wreck. Definitely will be booking again with Petz Pack for our next big no-pets family trip! Thank you guys for the service and peace of mind you provide.

I have been friends with Michael and Melissa Cox for years now, but up until this weekend, I have not had the pleasure of doing business with Petz Pack. They took the very best care of our sweet Roo. I cannot say enough about how awesome they were, even to the point of hand-feeding Roo because he wouldn't eat otherwise. They took him in and treated him like he was a part of their own family. Being able to board Roo in a home instead of in a kennel made me feel so much better about leaving him. He needs all the attention and loves and Mike and Melissa and Wyatt made sure he was the happiest boy while we were away. If you have a fur baby you know how important it is to be able to leave town and trust your baby is being taken care of the way that Petz Pack does!

Shannan and Kyle (at the Willows location) took such great care of our fur kids! This was Lilly's first time away from home-- from the pictures that we got each day, we were afraid she wasn't going to want to come home! Thank you for letting us relax on our vacation, confident that our pets were well cared for and pampered!!

I couldn't be more pleased with Petz Carlton! My dog currently goes to The Willows location several days a week and he absolutely loves it! Tatiana has an immaculate home, and she's very organized! She was very thorough when explaining the type of care and schedule that she provides, which has been wonderful! I am so thankful for Tatiana and Petz Carlton! I would highly recommend Petz Carlton for daycare and/or overnight stay.

The Petz Carlton is our dogs home away from home. We know when we leave him with Mike and Melissa that he's getting great care and lots of love. Once you try home boarding, you’ll never again use the sterile boarding that most places offer.

Petz Carlton is FANTASTIC. It is not run as an after thought or side gig. Melissa and Mike are professional and run the Petz as passionate entrepreneurs. They sincerely care about their work with dogs. We have a 90 lbs Doberman. They did a wonderful job of playing with him and integrating him into their own dogs' pack. He's a playful pooch and they sent us lots of pictures and videos of him getting great workouts in their backyard. I would highly recommend the Petz Carlton for any dog.

Petz Carlton is awesome! My Boston Terrier puppies love daycare with them. I have used the Wessons, Tatiana, and Katelyn and they are all beyond excellent! I know my pups are playing and being taken well care of while I cannot be with them. They genuinely love your pets and it shows in the outstanding care they give.

We love taking our dogs to Petz Carlton. Tammy and her family provide excellent care. I was so nervous leaving them, but I got pictures and updates of them playing and interacting with other dogs and family members. It really put my mind at ease. We had booked back to back trips. When we picked our dogs up from the first trip, they were happy to see us, but when we took them back, they couldn't wait to go inside! I knew they were happy!

Our girl Annie had an absolutely wonderful time at the 5points location of Petz Carlton! We had an absolutely guilt free trip to my cousins wedding in Florida and they treated her like their own with daily photos and updates to us! What a great experience, and her hosts were exceedingly kind and professional! Our little girl came home with a smile on her face and her dog social anxiety basically cured! Petz Pack has been a game changer for our rescue dog Lola. Before finding Petz Pack, I dreaded traveling because I felt guilty for how it affected our dog. She was previously a stray and had lived for some time in an animal shelter. Because of this, the typical kennel/boarding facility was very upsetting to her. It was obvious when we picked her up from her first stay with Petz Pack that it was different. Although she was excited to see me, she was also a bit reluctant to leave Mike. The prices are reasonable and definitely worth being able to enjoy travel without worrying about our beloved pet. We feel blessed that we found them.

Millie girl loves Green Barn!! I work long days so dropping her off a few days a week for daycare for her to burn some energy helps both of our sanity SO much! She always comes home exhausted and gets very excited when dropping her off. The staff is always so friendly and nice.

This was our first time taking our dog for daycare. Although there was a slight issue with scheduling they graciously welcomed our sweet Benji. When I picked him up he was happy and came running in with another small dog by his side. I will definitely be taking Benji back to play with his new friends .

Our high energy golden loves doggie daycare here. He always smells fresh coming home and adequately tired after I’m sure a day of fun. Additionally, he’s not the easiest to groom and they have always been so accommodating (even by FaceTiming me during the appt). These ladies at green barn are awesome.

We’ve used the green barn dog boarding services a couple times now and have been very happy here! I love the grooming option available as well. We have a golden doodle, and his grooming here has been the best in a very long time. We’ve tried so many places in town. Her prices are very reasonable for both boarding and grooming. Our dog LOVES Green Barn! She really enjoys going to daycare, and it helps get a lot of her energy out. The doggy handlers are amazing, and they're really good with the dogs. They also have delicious honey and eggs!

We have a doodle that gets groomed every 6weeks and I can’t say enough good things about the grooming service. She always looks great and is cut how I ask I keep her short because she is a dirty girl she finds any water and rolls in it. The staff is so kind and helpful and are truly animal people.

If you’re looking for well priced and a caring groomer, I suggest the Ark wholeheartedly. From the sweet person I spoke and scheduled with to the phenomenal front desk, Allie and groomer Brittney! To say I was impressed by Allie is an understatement. Allie welcomed us in with a smile as soon as we came in. She checked in multiple dogs at once while she also tended to my new membership with the BEST attitude. The other dogs and people seemed to really respond to her kindness and great personality. My boy Remy is a shy boy but she made him feel very comfortable around her. Allie’s work ethic and compassion for people and the animals shined through. 10/10. Now to Brittney, the groomer, WOW! She made my boy look even more handsome than before. A highly skilled professional, if you ask me. The way she was so gentle with Remy really made me feel like he was in great hands. She was so kind to him and I can tell he had a great time when he came out to us wagging tail behind him. 10/10 Over all, I am glad I picked the Ark for Remy!

Amazing staff with A+ care for all of their visiting pets and customers. We adopted our very first pet at 4 months old from a local pet shelter. She has some separation and anxiety from past shelter experiences. Which was a big concern for our family when we thought of boarding her while we were on vacation. I was happy to be able to view our pet via their cameras every day. I was able to see the care, comfort and love they offered daily. When I came back our dog was so excited to us that I almost cried. The staff here is amazing with all animals and I would recommend them time and time again!

I actually really enjoy the ark! I so far have not had a bad experience. The people who work at the Madison, AL location have always been very friendly and attentive when I call to check on him. The videos are extremely helpful to me when I’m on vacation I can check in anytime I need to. They always bath him and wash his bedding after an extended stay which is extremely relieving for me to know I’m picking up a clean dog. He always comes back looking happy and healthy.

Great experience. Our dog loves it, and the Webcam is a great treat. Love the all-inclusive pricing. Play should always be part of boarding, not an add-ons like other places.

I appreciate the Ark Pet Spa & Motel’s full service grooming options. I visited the Madison location. Service was efficient, communication was great, and my pup displayed contentment and confidence at pick up! Parking was easy and they even have a pet relief area though not sure it was the intention, but it was completely necessary.

Always a great experience, our puppy has a ton of energy and working through separation anxiety. Coming here gives her a chance to play and wear down that energy. We also like taking advantage of the baths while we are there!

It was terrible.. I took a 7 month old puppy to play in daycare..he girl working the desk, bobby joe, gave me a hard time coz my pup bordetella shot showed he had gotten it on june 14th, but it didnt have expiratipon date..this means it would been 3 months old. bordetella shots are good for at least 6 months, but i had to call my ve0t to get the expiration date, from there she had an attitude anyway, I have left him other places and he's done absolutely fine..after 1 hour I get a call saying that my puppy failed his evaluation..not sure what they base their evaluations on but for a 7 month old puppy to fail an evaluation and he's done fine every where else..they set your dog upto fail..so they failed my evaluation..and I will tell all my friends and acquaintances to not come there..it was a terrible experience..

The staff were wonderful! After having a horrific experience elsewhere I was desperate to find a quality groomer for our cavapoo. They exceeded my expectations and for half the price as the previous place we went! Communication was great and our dog came back so happy. We look forward to our appointments now! Highly recommend

If you’re looking for great pet boarding and/or daycare please take your fur baby to Huntsville Pet Resort. My fur baby, Daxton absolutely loves this place. The workers are exceptional, the facility is well kept and maintained and I know when I leave him he is going to be well taken care of. Back in June I had an unexpected death in the family and had to utilize them last minute for the first time. They were able to accommodate so that my baby would be in a deluxe suite for all the days he would be boarding. This put me at ease as this was my first time boarding him ever and I’ve been taking him ever since. P.S. he loves the splash zone and this is the result of it.

Our goldendoodle, Duke, goes to day camp 1-2 times a week at Huntsville Pet Resort! He absolutely loves the water park and the socialization he gets with other dogs. The staff is kind and accommodating. We have also boarded Duke in the Deluxe Suite for a week. I loved being able to watch him on the webcams and that he got to bring all of his favorite toys and treats. We love Huntsville Pet Resort!

Toby, our sweet 4 year old Shih Tzu, goes to daycare every day at Huntsville Pet Resort. He loves it! Everyone is so nice and knows him by name! We are very picky about who we let watch our baby. We couldn’t be happier with our choice in daycare! I love how professional they are and how much they love all the babies! They are always open the hours on the schedule. I never have to worry about getting to work on time!

Waylon, 1, absolutely loves going to Huntsville Pet Resort! The staff is very professional and very helpful. I am very picky about who watches him and I never worry while he is there! He is so tired after daycare that he immediately falls asleep in the car on the way home. Highly recommend Huntsville Pet Resort! They truly care about all of the animals!

Both my dogs love going to doggy daycare! Huntsville Pet Resort has helped one dog come out of her shy shell, while giving the other one the socialization she needs. The staff is always friendly and answers any questions. I really enjoy hearing the feedback on how my pups did that day and hearing about their personalities away from home. My dogs come home happy and tired, which makes for happy owners.

We love Huntsville Pet Resort! Our high energy Jack Russell goes to daycare 5 days a week and is so excited every morning to go. The staff is fantastic and greets him with pets and hugs. I have peace of mind during my work day knowing he is well taken care of and having fun. He plays all day and at pick up time he is ready to rest on the couch with his owners.

We started using this resort for our twice-weekly dog daycare needs a few months ago, and it has been great! They are always quick to take him back or retrieve him, and he's clearly always had a great time when there. Another plus is you absolutely can't beat the location for convenience! Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly.

Pickles, a rescue who had a difficult start in life, absolutely flourishes at Huntsville Pet Resort. She has become a happy dog who loves to go there and socialize thanks to the care and attention she gets from the staff.

We were initially hesitant about dog daycare, but Dog stop completely changed our minds. They have a safe, structured environment where our dog can socialize with other pups while getting plenty of exercise - we pick up a tired, content pup every evening! The staff here are true dog whisperers! They understand our dog's personality and cater to her needs perfectly. We feel completely confident leaving our furry baby in their hands! Dog stop is the best way to go for your furry babies!!

I recently started bringing my dogs here for daycare and boarding. Saying they have been the best is such an understatement! I am very picky and hesitant to bring my dogs anywhere but giving it a try was so successful! Everyday my pups go to daycare they are running in there so fast and so excited! The staff has been nothing less than incredible and so kind. I highly recommend giving it a try because I assure you, they will not let you down!

My dogs are reactive and crazy. They love this place though and like the staff. We adore our puppies and only board them with people we trust. We like this place. Looks like they have expanded and have live feed from the yard. This is great because we can now see our dogs wherever they are. Staff is always courteous and nice.

When I first moved to Huntsville, I started taking my dog to the Dog Stop for day care. I had no issues and my dog absolutely loved going. Then, I needed to board her for a 1 night stay. It was my first time ever boarding her and so I was nervous but felt comforted that they had live cameras and that they told me to bring stuff from home (blankets toys etc) to make her feel calm. After I dropped her off and flew for my work trip, I kept watching the cameras to see that they never gave my dog any of her things from home and so she was scared all night and didn't have anything from home to smell, make her comfy. When I picked her up the next day, I asked about it and I got a very bland, non-apologetic response of "not sure how that happened. Her stuff must have gotten misplaced". I shook it off and understood mistakes happen. I continued to bring her to daycare after that until she got kennel cough from this establishment. I know it's always a risk bringing your dogs in contact with other dogs but I've heard other stories of people's dogs getting kennel cough here and that worries me of their cleaning/vetting of dogs protocol. I do have to say their staff is extremely nice though!

Awesome staff! The woman up front was super friendly and helpful!! She called the vet for me and got all my records when needed. VERY PROFESSIONAL! Ignore the bad reviews!! They are making many improvements already!! The cameras are up so you can see your baby playing!! The fencing in the outdoor yard is repaired!!

Where do I even start? If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am only writing this because it’s been on me and my husbands mind forever. Back in Dec 2023 we boarded our dog River with the Dog Stop for 10 days (Travel). We had boarded him here a couple of times (he came back sick one of those times) and there was no severe issue so we decided to board him again. This time we came back and he was almost unrecognizable. He had lost a significant amount of weight (10-15lbs) and was extremely skinny. We asked why he looked like this and they said they were feeding him .5 cups A DAY because they thought he had “digestive issues” because he was using the bathroom a lot. This was probably because he was eating their brand of food, but nevertheless you don’t switch a dogs serving from 2 cups a day to .5. Not to mention our dog has bad anxiety so we gave them 3 of his pills for grooming purposes only. They only groomed him once so we should’ve had 2 left right?? No they used all 3 because he is high energy and they didn’t feel like dealing with him. Also, the “trainer” lady there referred to him as a “crackhead” which is out of line. Long story short, DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!! Before and after pictures below

Several months ago I reviewed this place and gave it 5 stars because I thought they were taking care of my dog. Their cameras FINALLY started working and yesterday I was finally able to how my dog was actually treated. She was taken out of the play yard before noon and put into a small kennel without a bed, toys, or a blanket and left completely ignored for over 4 hours. I had the live feed up and watched as my dog was never once checked on or taken out for a break. I am livid and appalled by what I saw and my dog will never step foot in there again. When I asked why she was left for hours without anyone checking on her I wasn’t given any explanation or an apology. One woman stated she had no idea it happened because she was up front all day, even though I saw her walking around the back. These are the people who kept saying how much they loved my dog and how sweet she is. Run away from this place!!!!!

October 27 - October 29, My dog Kane stayed here and will most definitely be his last stay here. Because I no longer trust this dog boarding. This was his second time staying here and it was way different from the first stay. When my sister went in to pick him up, his harness was strapped upside down and he rushed to the door. He never did that before. I noticed his behavior during these past couple of days. He didn't play and stay in one room. He also started to shake, especially when someone pets him. I called and talked to an employee and manager who says it's usually for dogs to do that and is high anxiety since they were thrown off the schedule of their regular routine. The manager said he would look back at the cameras and see if no wrong doing happened. I don't know if he ever did, because He said would call me back after viewing. He never did.And i tried to call them, just to have no answer. He never had this behavior when he stayed in other places.When I tried to take him a bath, like many times I reached down to pick him up to put him in, he yelps. it's strange to me. if the manager would have called me back and said nothing happened i would probably have a clear mind and pass it off as anxiety. But it never happened. So this one star will remain for communication and will also remain because I am unsure if anything happened to my boy.

Our girls love Lexie's place! The owners are very friendly and you can tell how much they enjoy what they do. We drop our pups off for doggie daycare, and they have also been boarded during our vacations. They love socializing with the other pups. This is a 10 star business, and I can't imagine leaving my furbabies anywhere else. If we take them for a ride in the car and happen to drive by Lexie's without dropping them off, they pout. My boyfriend and I decided to board them here. I felt comfortable as soon I talked to the owners about birding them. We were worried since Benji (goldendoodle) can be very shy and anxious. Biggie (corgi), we knew he would be a champ as the strong older brother that he is. They kept us updates and when we picked them up they were so happy and looked well cared for. Definitely booking again and will start doing daycare 1-2x weekly to give them some time with other pets. As you can see, they are both exhausted and we are loving it (Benji is still a puppy with a lot of energy) 🥰

The fact that my wife chose Lexie's Place to watch our precious fur baby while we are working is a major endorsement as she is in the pet care industry herself. Indy loves her play dates and gets very excited to go. Always comes home dog tired! Jeff & Danny are awesome and truly love their guests.

We love Lexie’s Place! Hands down, the best boarding facility in the area! The care that our pup receives while he’s here is unreal. It is always perfectly clean and the yard/play area for the pups is massive. These folks love what they do here and it shows!

Very unique facility, felt comfortable with the owners immediately. 5 star experience everytime we board our dog. In fact, he is always excited when we pull up to Lexie's place. We love all the different activities available to our dog at Lexie's place. Jeff and Danny are the best!

My wife and I left our pups at Lexie's while we went on vacation. It was our first time using Lexie's and when we returned, we found our pups as happy and relaxed as we were. If you live in Madison or North Huntsville, you owe it to yourself to use Lexie's for your Pet Boarding needs.

Just picked up our furbabies after their first visit. Jeff and Danny are outstanding. You can tell they love the dogs that come through the door. It's a 30-40 minute drive for us but its well worth it. Both of our furbabies had a fun day. We will definitely be back.

Well maintained, clean facility, open boarding for our dog. The owners love our pet almost as much as we do!

Just went today for the first time for both my golden retrievers! Owner was very attentive and sweet. She did great on both my dogs, bath and trim :) dogs are happy as well will definitely be back.

I got in on a walk-in basis with two dogs. Both had traveled over 16 on Thanksgiving. To say there were both a bit nervous was super true. The young lady (Heather?) did an excellent job of reducing their stress such that she even used a dremel on them, which was a first. I’d go there again for grooming services.

I’ve brought my pup here multiple times now and they always do a great job! She’s a husky, we get her deshedded and shaped and she doesn’t shed for weeks afterwards!!

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone I took my two mini Yorkies to her yesterday for a TRIM , she uneven cut and completely cut my little girls hair off . I addressed this with her and she simply said HAIR will Grow back . The lack of unprofessional service is beyond disrespectful. Please , please DO NOT take your babies here

I Will NEVER use this place again. I used to go to this place fairly regularly. Initially, prices were reasonable. Eventually prices became erratic. Every time I went with the same two dogs, prices were never the same. So I went elsewhere. After 2 1/2 years I called today to see if there were any openings or cancellations. They told me to bring my dog at 1:30 pm. They weren’t finished with him until nearly 9pm and I was charged an unreasonable amount. Apparently there is an up-charge if you call and get a same day appointment and another fee because he is “aggressive”. This dog has been to multiple grooming establishments (including this one) and seen different groomers within those establishments and I have never been told that he is aggressive. Because he isn’t. If he showed any sign of this it might be because it took them over 7 hours to groom him. My other groomer can do both of my dogs in that time. If there is a fee for a last minute appointment you should mention that when you make the appointment. I shouldn’t be surprised. Amy (the owner) has always been unprofessional. This is a reminder of why I stopped bringing my dogs here in the first place.

This is the owner and I for some reason can not respond to any of the reviews and Google was no help so this is the only way to respond The review with the 2 doodles - this client called and we were booked so I gave her another ladies number and business name that was renting a booth out of my shop = Paws and Whiskers DID NOT Groom these two doodles , I told the man that called to complain that I gave his wife the other girls information and she scheduled with her not us , but he argued and refused to remove the post and bad review. To comment on this review : Shani Lucas 1 review I post a long comment on Yelp about this one, but in brief - The dog in comments is a cocker spaniel named Friday and he is aggressive and was 2.5 years ago when she previously used us - I believe she went to someone else because she always wanted to call and get in last minute - Prices varied because her dogs were typically in horrible or bad condition and it took so long last time because again she called wanting in that day on a Friday , which is one of the busiest days - the price 2.5 years ago on that same dog was 65 or 75 and we charged her 90, not much of a price increase and yes the dog is aggressive and was back then , which she was informed then and now of the behavior. We always focus on clients that have appointments scheduled not last minute - she did not ask the cost when making the appointment , but Cockers start at 65 and go up This appointment Rachel Rosa I feel it was just a misunderstanding - she came in and said I want them short but not to short , leave length - the owner wasn't clear and honestly I was confused - I cut some off but not much and when she picked up she loved them , but probably when she got home husband didn't but I did what she asked - funny most of the pictures posted are not what their hair looked like nor pictures of after they were groomed at my shop so not sure what the pictures show? If she would have given her concerns when picked u[ we could have worked something out , but instead she posted a bad review when I did what she asked for

I had my doodle groomed today. Like several other reviews, I had a surprise price increase after confirming the price multiple times during the onsite assessment.

Was recommended by a friend, told they were very reasonably priced. I took my Shepard mix, to be bathed and cut. My 7 yr old could have done a better job than she did. None of his legs are cut the same length, you can literally see a line down the middle of his back that is shorter. This is a very docile 14 yr old dog who will let babies and toddlers crawl over him, and he never flinched. So the problem is NOT my dog, it is a problem with the groomer. Oh and as far as reasonably priced, this total disaster cost $120.00. And beware she only take cash. Otherwise, I would have called my credit card company and had a hold but on the charge! She may do good with little lap dogs, but as far as a medium size dog weighing 58lbs she is totally lacking. Also, her assistant called me to let me know he was ready to pick up and I told her it would be between 3 and 4, because as I had told them when I dropped him off I had to pickup my child at school between 2 and 3. She called right as I was leaving for the school. So when I got there no one was there. I called, and she said she was at the doctor and I was told to be there after 4:30! No, I was not told that! So, she called her assistant that lives across the street to come open so I could get my dog. And my friend that referred her, was as upset as I was about the outcome and she said she will not use her again!

I have been to multiple groomers around Athens trying to find someone who would get my baby right and she is by far the best one and super nice! My Lucy came out looking perfect and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend her for your dog grooming<3

I absolutely love this place and would recommend them to anyone. The owner and her staff are so friendly and loving to the pets they service and do not discriminate against your pet's breed and not to mention that the office is soo clean and has a fresh smell. Give them a try you will not be disappointed

Thankful for Maggie and her family. She came highly recommended from Maddie's pet resort where our boys stayed several times who had to close their doors. We drive 45 minutes one way to drop our boys off here because our boys are part of our family and their pet resort treats them like family too. They have a huge area for the dogs to run and play with slides, etc. They also have a nice size building where your fur baby goes to sleep and stay warm or cool depending on the weather. They are very organized and put all of the visiting fur babies first. They post pictures and videos on their Facebook page while you are on vacation. We found Christmas pictures of our boys next to a Christmas tree. Their family also takes in, fosters and adopts out fur babies who have no home.

We have always had an exceptional experience with It Takes a Village, both locations. Our Woody boy has been coming to stay with Maggie for almost 5 years now, and our baby Lola who is a giant one year old, has been going here for her entire life now. They are professional, transparent and extremely cautious with our doggos. We appreciate them so much, and wouldn't trust anyone else when we are out of town.

My wife, I and Izzy (our dog) absolutely love this place! They are super professional and always a pleasure to work with! They take such good care of our dog and all other dogs. Anyone that post anything negative about this place, clearly does not know anything! Thanks for all that you do! We will use this place for as long as we have a dog!

Maggie and the entire ‘it takes a village’ family is amazing! We have been taking our dogs to Maggie for the past year and always receive the best care! They often spend long term visits at the village and are happy to see Mrs. Maggie every time we arrive! Maggie always happily goes out of her way to provide the best care for our fur babies. She communicates with us constantly, as well as our vet. She does pick ups and drop offs for us, goes to our vet to get more food anytime we are away and the dogs are running low, and always puts our dogs best interests first. We are so lucky to have found ‘it takes a village’ for our dogs home away from home!

Absolutely thrilled that our regular boarding was booked up and we found It Takes A Village! 100% will be repeat customers! Maggie was friendly and professional. The rates are reasonable and amenities for pups above and beyond! We loved seeing pictures of our little guy playing and really enjoyed the report card we received. Highly, highly recommend for any boarding/doggie daycare needs!!

Maggie is wonderful and loves all of her boarders as if they were her own! She even goes out of her way to help even when the dogs are back at their home. She was such a big comfort to me when we lost our dog Chance. I know my dogs are in great hands when they stay with Maggie!

You guys... if you need someone to really care for your dogs like they are your own, call this place! They board, the do play days, grooming, etc. Maggie has been caring for our big boy, Woody, for years when we go out of town. He just adores her. Our new pup will be seeing her soon as well. She is super friendly, patient, and she loves animals. What more could you ask for?

Terrible experience for all three of my pets. Meds weren’t given as MY veterinarian prescribed because Maggie decided that they didn’t need them. Absolutely no compassion was shown about what happened to my dog during his care and he was blamed for his injuries while staying at It takes a village. Worst experience ever! Not to mention all of the vet bills I have had to pay since they stayed.

Maggie is a big hearted lady that cares about all dogs in her care. We are very grateful to her and her family for the care they have given to our dog, Tini. We would recommend It Takes a Village to anyone.

The best boarding experience I've had in 8 years of being a dog owner. There's not a better feeling than knowing that your dogs are getting the best care possible. Maggie has many years of experience with rescuing and caring for animals. The actual boarding area and outside area are wonderful! My dogs came home relaxed, but tired from all the fun they had. I know they can't wait to go back. :)
