Due to electricity problems in the rental we originally advertised our sit for, we had to move THREE DAYS before Nikki arrived!! On top of that, the internet was not installed on time, we had the first rain of wet season the night before we left which caused 5 roof leaks, and we found termites. Our dogs did not have time to properly settle into the new place before we had to abandon them and Nikki to their own devices!! Poor Nikki had to deal with 3 very confused dogs, the internet company, the roofing company, and the fumigation company! Hey, if you're moving and want someone to handle all of that stuff for you, just tell Nikki you need a housesitter and you can go on vacation and leave it for her to deal with! LOL Seriously though, it was a lot to handle and quite overwhelming as everything was happening within the first few days of her sit. She handled it like a champ though, and everything was done- even though she doesn't speak Spanish! Resilient is how I would describe Nikki! Plus, she's really friendly. Don't hesitate to choose her if she applies for your sit. If she can handle the nightmare I left for her, I'm sure your sit will be a breeze!
I was in a hurry to find a pet sitter when I extended my trip and Ditte was thankfully available! She arrived right on-time and I felt at ease almost immediately when I met her. I showed her around the areas where Billie and Arie are usually going and can be off-leashed. Throughout my trip, she sent me a regular update on the two, I can see in the pictures that she sent that both of them were happy and safe with her. she kept going with the activities and routines, even walked them a lot more than I do. When Arie was feeling poorly, she took an immediate action and nursed her back to health before she was due to hand over to the next pet sitters. I can see that my place is also very well-kept during her stay. She even stayed for an hour or two longer on her last day to hand over the keys to the next sitters and did some small requests from my neighbours. I will definitely call Ditte again for the next holiday as I know I can fully trust her and the communication with her was always very easy. Thank you so much for your help, Ditte! i will see you next time :)

Jasper is super easy! He's an older dog so he likes to just lay around most of the day. I was able to leave the screen door open when I was there (there is a doggy door in the actual door) and Jasper would come inside/outside as he wished. He does greatly enjoy laying on his bed outside. Billie was very accommodating to my schedule and was more than happy to work with me about timing. Also, this house is in a great location and not far from some great stores, cafes, and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
