I loved my time in Puerto Lopez. Fiona was so lovely, kind and helpful. Her home is comfortable and close to the beach (I was actually given one of the AirB&B units to stay in - super clean and comfortable) with full access to her home downstairs. She also introduced me to her friends, who were also super. One of them invited me to join her friends for Christmas dinner! The animals, all eight of them were fabulous! I loved them all .... I think they realized how lucky they were to rescued in this part of the world. I have nothing but great memories and would return should she need another long term sit!
Candy and Canela were very sweet dogs and caused no trouble at all! The converted chapel was also wonderful with an incredible forest to walk in. Maxine (Nick’s mother) who lived across the road was incredibly helpful and was always willing to answer any queries we had!
We throughly enjoyed our housesit at Dan and Maggie’s home, which was like an oasis with the pool which provided relief from the August heat. They were very welcoming on arrival giving us a through house and yard tour along with the cats requirements and a lovely home cooked dinner. Nelson very quickly took ownership of our bed while squeaky was more reserved but did relax as the days went on. It was very quiet and peaceful and you could enjoy watching the stars at night time. Supermarkets,cafes, restaurants and hairdressers etc are all in walking distance. It’s an easy drive to any larger towns or beaches in the area. Dan and Maggie always responded to our messages. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this sit if you are given the opportunity.
I had such a great stay with Nalu and Coco. Hosts were so incredibly warm and welcoming! Would love to stay and sit for them again.
Housesitting for Jane and Craig was a ten out of ten experience!! They were very welcoming and left a comprehensive (and humorously written) guidebook of the housesitting responsibilities, logistics, and fun things to do around town. Rainie is a sweet and quirky cat; she was fun to hang with and was relatively low maintenance. The house was wonderful and a majestic group of deer and squirrels passed through the backyard each morning to eat the birdfeed. Jane and Craig are very engrained in Oregon culture and have heaps of fun facts and great tips on how to best spend your time in the area. I appreciate their kindness and hospitality during my visit!
I had a great time! Tommy and the kitties were lovely. Home was beautiful and Elizabeth and James were really responsive and accommodating. Gus, the boy cat, didn't come out from under the bed until the last day, shy dude. But Isabele, the lady cat was really interested in getting to know me! Tommy was great. super smart. So friendly, so funny and you can not win a staring contest with him! I cant wait to sit for them again!
