We cannot say enough wonderful things about Chelsea & Greg and their Peaceful Psyche boarding business! Our pup, Belly girl, has stayed with them multiple times and is always SO happy to see them! It’s clear that they love her just as much as we do. What more can pet parents ask for?! They have been so helpful and have taken Belly on short notice and worked with us when we had an unexpected death in our family and had to travel last minute. We never have to worry about our girl when something comes up because we know how great of care they take of her! Oh, and they make the sweetest homemade doggy treats for Belly to take home at the end of every stay! She loves them so much!!

Great home atmosphere for pets whom may be overstimulated in large crowded atmospheres. My pups have spent the night over a couple of stays and are always happy and well taken care of as if Chelsea is the pup parent herself. I'll be continuing the use of her services and strongly advise her to any one else who wants that special touch for their baby.

A big mahalo for taking SUCH excellent care of Bucky during my recent trip! He came back so happy, fluffy, and obviously loved. The next day he was wandering around looking for Momoko to play with, so we went to the dog park to play. We will definitely be booking Chelsea again!!! And she sent daily updates too. Our dog remembers them months later: I am so glad to have found Chelsea to take care of our 9yr old fur baby. When we met Chelsea it was immediately obvious Ellie would be in good hands. I like to say Ellie took a two week vacation because she literally come back looking happier and and much healthier then when she left. You can really tell they take such great care of the pets they are sitting. I bumped into them today and Ellie had nothing but tail wags and puppy kisses. After 4 months she still remembers. Peaceful Psyche Dog Boarding Background: Family’s first trip in years, usually we have a family member babysitting our fur baby Anakin, but no one was available this trip. I was very anxious about leaving my lil one at a boarding facility for the first time. Did some research and asked around if anyone had recommendations. Peaceful Psyche Dog Boarding was on my short list, so I reached out and asked for some details. The Rules: She sends you a long and detailed list of rules to read before you fill out the application. I really appreciated how detailed it was, it meant that she was experienced and that everything is written down and no surprises. Once application is filled out, she will schedule a meet and greet to see if you dog will get along with their 2 adorable dogs Momoko and Cooper. The Process: Once you application is approved, they will schedule the meet and greet. Meet and greet went well, my baby is not around any other dogs only sees dogs during walks, so I was nervous. Meet and greet was funny, my baby was scared but not showing aggression to their babies, so it went well. Meet and greet not only help me see how well my baby will get along with their dogs, it gave me a chance to see how well she interacted with Anakin and other dogs. Saw the area he would be playing in (backyard), neighborhood for walks, etc. The Stay: Day of drop off, I was a total wreck. Crying all day long and during the drive. Once we reached their location, they met us in the parking lot. Took all my items (dog crate, toys, leash, and food) along with my baby. They whisked him away and he didn’t even look back which was a good thing for me because I would have changed my mind and plans. As soon as we drove off and my baby was at the boarding location, we got a text and picture about how my baby was doing. While on our trip we would get daily texts with updates, videos and pictures on how he was eating, playing and sleeping. Really appreciated the updates and especially the videos. Pick up went smoothly, happy to have my baby back home. I am sure he missed all his new friends that he met at his week vacation away from us. They also provide doggie day care which now I am thinking of trying maybe just so my baby gets to interact with friends. A few days after his stay we still received text from our new doggie family, we really appreciate it. Seems more like a family then a business. Overall: We have no complaints and glad we found an alternative for our baby if we need it. Our baby Anakin seems like he really enjoyed his stay and hanging out with his new friends especially Momoko and Cooper. We really appreciate how much Chelsea made us feel comfortable and treated Anakin as part of her family.

I have relied on Chelsea to care for my most precious family member for a couple of years now. She has always done an amazing job. Very good about providing updates and is genuine about providing care. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere and owner absolutely loves dogs. Our baby was is great hands and looks like she had a great time. Owner gave daily updates, which put us at ease.

At first I was skeptical and a bit nervous about having a dog sitter. Once meeting Chelsea, momoko, and copper I felt enlightened to know that my dog was not only safe but loved. Chelsea sent photos and kept in contact the whole trip we will definitely be back. Our experience with Chelsea and her Ohana was fantastic if there were more stars I could give I would!

I was very nervous to leave my kitty for 3 weeks at a boarding facility since it was going to be his first time being away from me for that long & he’s not super socialized (he only knows myself & my dog). Let me start by saying The on boarding process was very easy & fast. Tails of Hawaii also is priced really well (I did my research of boarding facilities before booking). & it was super convenient because the facility is 5 minutes away from my home. Upon drop off, I noticed it was very clean & well kept, the staff was very friendly & reassuring. Through out my kitty’s stay the staff sent me pictures, updates, & health updates during the entire time. It looked like my kitty had a great time socializing with other people & did well in his new environment. Tails of Hawaii really gave me peace of mind knowing my kitty was being well looked after & because of that I was able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely be back for any more future boarding needs & recommend them To anyone! Thank you again tails of Hawaii for taking care & looking after my kitty!

I had to move myself, 3 dogs, and 2 cats from Hawaii to two separate cities in Ohio and I was such a wreck. My pets are my family! I almost went with another company but they had poor communication and kept sending the wrong itineraries which gave me such anxiety. I reached out to Happy Tails and they were super quick to get back to me and got the different itineraries right the first time and really did their best to put my worries to rest. They came to pick my pets up from my house and didn’t even bat an eye at how much I was crying saying goodbye to them. Needless to say, all my pets landed safely at their correct destinations and I am so thankful for all their help! They sent me updates and pictures of everyone during their pre-flight boarding stay. They paid attention to all the small details I sent about all my pets different quirks. I highly recommend using Happy Tails if you have to move your pets. They really made something that was so stressful and seemed so complicated to orchestrate with 5 different pets and 2 different locations so seamless. 10/10!!

Tails has allowed my Chocolate lab “Nani” to socialize with others providing caring staff to help her grow. We are grateful for the webcams that allow me to periodically check on Nani throughout the day to observe her activity. The piece of mind knowing she is in a safe environment. I place my trust in the staff at Tails to care for a part of my family that we treat as our own child now that our children have grown and moved away. I did have an incident which Nani ingested possibly a rubber piece which Tails helped to monitor her during that period to ensure if her poop contained additional pieces since she was not eating. I know that “Nani” could get into mischief and also becomes snippy considering she is a rescue that has experienced Trauma. However, Tails monitors and reports her day. Nani comes home exhausted from a full day of playing and when we reach the store. she is wagging her tail and not putting on the brakes as we enter. We attended the 2024 Pet Fair in Mililani and I was hesitant about bringing her out in the public with other dogs and their owners. Nani allowed people to pet her and she was wagging her Tail the entire time. Thank You Tails!

Just completed the meet and greet. My senior dog seems to be very relaxed and happy. Because of his health and senior status, he was rated under a non social status. Environment of the lobby was very clean and neatly kept. Would have loved a pre tour of the kennels. Just to observe. Looking forward to his boarding.

We have been with them for almost 8 years. They have been a lifesaver. Our dog is not very sociable as he's almost 11 years old! But with time and patience they have mixed him in with other dogs. Still not real sociable but he is mingling with them and that made us EXTREMELY HAPPY. He wants to mingle but not sure how to. He LOVES all his aunties and uncles. Be board him periodically, which he's not real happy about, but it gives us a peace of mind knowing he is well cared for there. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tails of Hawaii.

I am so thankful for Tail Movers! I was so stressed out about getting our dog to the mainland because no flights could get him all the way to where we needed him to go. Plus he needed multiple comfort stops.. I am so thankful for this company. They made the process so easy for us and they even set up a taxi to deliver our dog directly to my in-laws house. I would give 10 stars if I could.

I’m always nervous when going out of town and leaving my dogs in the care of someone else. However they took great care of my dogs. I loved their live feed every so often I would get a glimpse of them. Seeing them running around having fun made my feel so much better know my dogs were having a great time and being well cared for.

Recently had our two labs do a meet and greet with ToH. The staff was helpful and explained what would be done and what would be evaluated. Having the online portal definitely streamlines the process. Looking forward to having our pups boarded at this facility. Very convenient and only a few minutes from the house. Definitely appreciate the military/veteran discount for boarding.

PCSing to the mainland, and I am so happy with the help that Tails of Hawaii gave us. They answered all of our questions and kept us updated along our fur babies trip. Everyone I came across was super friendly as well. I definitely recommend Tails of Hawaii, especially if moving. They help take away the stress and everything was simple.

Erica and her staff are amazing. I 100% trust her to take care of my Doberman. She will send pics daily and you can rest assured your pet is getting all the love, attention, and socialization they deserve! Thank you Erica for taking care of Indy for the past 3 years. Erica is amazing! She welcomed my 4 dogs (on short notice) with love and attention! The dog kennels are larger than others and well maintained. She sends daily pictures with updates. All my dogs just loved her and her staff. This is the only boarding place that i will use here on the island.

To sum up Erica's service: Exceptional! She went above and beyond all we could hope for! She lovingly watched our rabbit Lucy and cat Loki for 15 days. She sent so many pictures and spoiled them like they were her own. From day one of when I contacted her, she was always super prompt and answered my questions thoroughly. I could tell right away that she loved animals and that our fur babies would be in excellent care. Not a day went by where I didn't get at least 10 pictures of them looking well taken care of. I highly recommend her service and we will definitely be repeat customers!

Great place to board your dog. We have used Erica to overnight our dog over the last 3 years. She is great with all the animals and has an intricate dog run where she can adjust the runs to the size of the dog. Her application is well thought out. It includes temperament of you dog, medical issues and verification of required shots and kennel medication. We have never had a problem there and our dog always comes home to rests from all the fun and running around with the other dogs. The dogs are paired up with like size and temperament and she closely watches them interact before introducing other dogs.

Best dog boarding that I have ever used. Such a wonderful person and team that take care of your dogs. They send picture updates to you so you can see them enjoying themselves while you are away.

I have used Maika'i Pet Sitting for the past year and could not be happier with their services! I board my two dogs with pet sitters in the sitters' homes and I always have complete confidence that my dogs will be treated with love and compassion. The pet sitters send pictures and updates of my pets which helps me see how much they are loved and cared for while they're being boarded. The company owner is hands on and responsive and so easy to work with. Couldn't recommend this company more!

This locally owned business is BEYOND incredible. I had an emergency situation arise (thanks COVID) and needed a last minute boarding situation for my dog for an entire week. I called, and they worked for 2 hours to find me accommodations for my dog, and even offered us a military discount ontop of it! The customer service is so above and beyond, her attitude was cheery and helpful the entire conversation, I cannot recommend this business more. They’re amazing and I’m so thankful for how quick and willing they were to help a family in need!

Great local company super helpful and quick to answer my questions. They kept in touch with me while I was gone and got pics of my beautiful fur baby which made me feel super secure and that she was safe!!! Will continue to use them for my pet needs.

Very unhelpful and an extremely misleading website

We recently boarded our adopted dog, Winnie, at Kama’aina K9 while we were away for a week, and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. Since it was our first time boarding her, we were a little nervous, but the staff was so great and made us feel comfortable right away. The every-other-day “Woof Reports” with photos and updates were so cute! It was such a relief to see Winnie looking happy, excited, and having fun with other dogs. Daily updates would’ve been nice since it was our first time overnight without her, but the ones we got were still super reassuring. When we picked her up, she was her usual energetic self, which let us know she was well cared for the whole time. The team made everything so easy, and we’ll definitely be bringing her back. Highly recommend Kama’aina K9 if you need a safe, loving place for your pup!

My pup Waffles has been going here for years- and it’s her weekly interaction with other dogs in a wide open area- she loves it! They are always kind to her (I ask her every time about her visits) and she gets photos and new friends to play🥰. They have gone next level care for us due to unforeseen circumstances and we appreciate that they do so, because they really do care for our pups. Thank you Kama’aina! Our dog, Charlie, stayed for two weeks while we traveled to the mainland. We received progress reports with photos every other day. We loved that they provided enrichment activity and socialization that we can’t provide at home. We felt like he was in great hands!! They gave him a bath before we picked him up, and their process was quick & easy. In the past we have boarded Charlie at his veterinary clinic. He spent most of his time in a cage/kennel with potty breaks outside. Kama’aina K9 Adventures gave him a much better experience with fun activities and lots of outdoor play.

From first contact with them to picking my dogs up was super easy and convenient. All of the staff that I talked to were nice and professional. I appreciate that they allow you to have a let your dog stay for a few hours so they can see if there are any compatibility issues with your dog and the other dogs staying. Drop off was quick and easy. I loved getting the woof report so I always knew how my dogs were doing. It made our trip so much more enjoyable not having to worry about the status of our dogs. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I definitely recommend them to watch your dog(s) while you're away. I will be using them in the future as well.

My dog had such a great time and really burned off her energy. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I like the ease of scheduling and drop off, & report cards The only possibly downside is the dusty road driving up to the site and your dog will definitely need a bath or wipe down after but we expect this being in the "country".

We recently tried Kama'aina K9 Adventure for a half-day daycare with our dog Rocky, and he had an absolute blast! The agility adventure park gave him a fantastic outlet to explore and burn energy, transforming him into a happy, muddy monster by the end of it! This place is perfect for socializing and exercising your pup in ways that go beyond what I could offer on my own. The staff provides a safe, caring environment, with a great focus on safety and accountability. We were so pleased with Rocky's first half-day experience that we booked him for an extended stay right away. Highly recommended!

Most dogs (and owners) are afraid of my boy so he doesn’t get to play with them, the one thing he wants most. He’s big but still a puppy and so so sweet. I took him to KK9 in hopes that he would make friends to run around and play with and I’m so happy I did. His temp eval went great and when I received the report and pics of the fun he was having, I was overwhelmed ♥️. Thank you to the wonderful staff who took care of my baby and recognized the big bundle of joy he is! We will be back.

Lucky loves staying with Kama'aina K9 Adventures. As much as we don't love leaving him we are at ease knowing he's being looked after with lots of love and care while we're away. He loves seeing his aunties and love seeing old friends and making new friends. Lots of love and appreciation to the owners, staff, and furry friends for always keeping my fur baby safe and entertained.

Long overdue review. We have been sending our pup Mamba to KK9 for 3 years from 2020-2023 (multiple times a week, including some overnight boarding when we were away), and we would have still been going there if we didn't move to the mainland. KK9 is amazing. Mamba learned all his socialization skills from going there every week as soon as he was old enough to meet the age requirement. He would always be so exhausted by the time we picked him up, and so excited when we were dropping him off. There is just so much outdoor space for all the dogs to run around all day. He made so many great pup friends along the way. The staff is one of a kind - everyone is so friendly and most importantly, is going to love and spoil your pup!! They are great with posting photos of how your pup is hanging. Admittedly, the drive to the daycare is a little rocky, but it is 1000% worth it to give your dog an outdoor daycare experience. We've taken Mamba to many other daycares on the mainland after we left Hawaii, but NONE of them compare. It was his favorite place on earth and we wish we were still able to send him.

A coworker recommended K9 adventures and the process to get register was easy. Finding the location was easy (signs helped a lot), and the staff were super friendly and patient with our 3 pups. This was their first time going to a doggie daycare, and they did so well. The staff knew how integrate them without issues. Which is great. We plan on utilizing their services to keep our pups entertained while we’re working or away. 10/10 recommend🤗

Leaving our dog for the first time while we went on vacation was really tough for my family and me. We were worried about finding someone we could trust to take care of him. That’s when I came across a place called Furever Friends on social media and thought we’d give them a try. Right from the beginning, their staff was very welcoming and friendly. They quickly answered all our questions, which made us feel much more relaxed. While we were away, they sent us photos and updates about our dog, Chewie. It was such a relief to know he was being well cared for. We’re definitely planning to return and may even send him to daycare just so he can play with other dogs for fun!

I was a nervous wreck when I had to board my dog for the first time. Furever friends eased all my worries, always sent a reply when I asked for updates. Every photo that was sent showed how much fun my girl was having! I would definitely board with them again! And Denali loved it too!

My dog loves going to Furever Friends for daycare and boarding. He always has a great time playing with his friends and getting lots of attention. They have many special events and are even available for dog birthday parties. It’s conveniently located near Fort Shafter. They also board cats which is a huge convenience to be able to take both pets to the same place when I need to go out of town.

Furever Friends is a great place for your furry family to have a staycation while you’re on vacation. We’ve used them for years. Wendy and her team have taken good care of our furry family while we traveled abroad. Conveniently located on Ahua St in the Mapunapuna area on Oahu.

We love Furever Friends for daycare and boarding. We received updates, photos, and knew that our dog was in good hands while we were away. Communication is easy and consistent and our dog is all smiles when she leaves. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to safely leave your dog.

My Pua always stays at Furever Friends when I am traveling. They take care of him really good and he always happy over there! He is a senior dog and not many boarding place accepts seniors, but Furever Friends always welcomes him. Thank you for making him happy!!

We are so glad we found Furever Friends. Our beagle loves going there. We've used them a couple of times for daycare and once (so far) for a "Staycation". The dogs are so well cared for. The staff I have dealt with have been professional, and caring. It is clear they love dogs. Their rates are reasonable and they are very upfront about the costs.

We had the best experience having our Jack Russell Terrier Lula play and stay at Furever Friends. The kindness of the staff make us feel worry free when we go on vacation. Leaving Lula at Furever Friends feels like leaving her with family who care for her and love her as much as we do! Highly recommend their services!

The Dogwalker Etc. experience is AWESOME! 🤩 from start to finish, everything was perfect! We love the portal where the Dogwalker posts pictures, writes notes, records on multiple topics (poop, per, water refill, meds administered etc). SO AMAZING!! The meet-n-greet the day before was easy to do and hardly took any time at all. The staff know what they’re doing and are friendly- super easy to work with! 10 outta 10 recommend !! 🙌

Loved them while we had a walker for our area in Aiea. Then he moved off island and they don’t have enough staff( look online it appears they have plenty but I’d say that’s very very inaccurate). 5 star for his care during short time we had him. Negative -1 for not having a replacement and/ or viable option and time offering needed.

We love the staff and people at Dog Walking Etc. They are all so genuinely great with our dog. I especially like the fact that when we board our dog, he stays at the host’s home and not a kennel. He gets to interact with the host family and pets. They all go walking and playing together which he loves and I like getting daily updates with pictures. We initially used DWE to have our dog walked weekly along with weekly field trips. He gets so excited as he waits for his outings. When his walker arrives, he gets super excited. See picture below on how he greets his walker. When he’s done and returned home, he is one happy and tired dog which is exactly what our German Shepard needs. We are so happy to have found DWE.

Don’t let the name fool you! If you’re looking for a cat sitter look no further than Dogwalker etc!! We are so grateful to have Erin and her awesome team of cat lovers for our two babies Stiker and Goldie. It’s clear that the company loves all animals but we felt very confident in their abilities for cats specifically. We traveled recently for spring break and had the Dog Walker team come in twice a day every day for two weeks. They did everything from cleaning & feeding to playtime to grooming and also taking care of our house too. We came back and found everything better than we left it. Thank you so much to Dogwalker etc and the whole team!

I’ve used dogwalker etc a few times for their dog walking services and dog sitting when we went on trips. It’s such a great service, they handle my difficult terriers (terrors) very well and the owner even came out once to assist the sitter with learning how to manage my dog. Coming from someone who has been turned away from doggy daycare, this was greatly appreciated!!! My dogs are very high energy, and intelligent, hence why I need a service. I also felt very comfortable leaving the island in this companies care, we got updates daily with photos, which is a nice touch. I will use this service again for sure.

We hired Ruth from Dogwalkers to doggie sit our fur baby while we were in Japan. We were super nervous since this was the first time leaving her with a stranger and we were out of country. Ruth is THE BEST. Rachael, the owner walked me through the process, gathered info and matched us up with Ruth. Ruth also came highly recommended by our neighbors. Our fur baby is very shy, so we hired Ruth to walk her before our trip to become familiar with Ruth. Ruth writes great detailed reports and the service includes daily photos which is great and comforting. Ruth even took out our trash bin and recycle bin and played with our fur baby. They really bonded. Ruth is great with animals. Ruth and Dogwalkers are pretty flexible about told return date in case of flight delays so your fur baby won’t be left hanging by themselves. We will definitely hire Ruth for future trips!

I have used Dogwalker ETC! on two different occasions and have been very happy with their service. The daily communication between the caregiver and pet owner is excellent. The staff are very professional and trustworthy. I felt at ease immediately after meeting the two people assigned to watch my pets and highly recommend this company and these wonderful, caring people.

When we took a trip in 2019, we needed someone to take care of our little girl for about 10 days. We found the perfect people who took excellent care of her! Misha was about 5 years old and this would be the first time we would be away for that length of time. Of course, we were concerned and apprehensive about how she would adjust in our absence. To our delight, she loved being with the dog sitter! The sitter would email videos of her daily activities and this gave us great comfort seeing her so content and happy. The personnel are so caring and genuine in making sure that your furry child is given the best care and they are also very professional. Highly recommended to entrust your dog in their care.

We used Dogwalker Etc for 9 days while away on a trip. Our girl was well taken care of, Ms. Sharee did an excellent job spending time and writing solid reports on how our dog was doing in our absence. I met Sharee before our trip and felt at ease with her. I explained to her all that was required, (you also write care instructions on their web portal) and we walked the usual route with my girl. I warned Sharee of all the neighborhood dogs that are possibly hostile and have broke off their leash in the past. I also warned Sharee that my dog could slide out of her collar (she's done so in the past) so beware of that, and that also my dog has bolted out of the house and went straight to the neighbor's dog that they keep tied up in the yard which I've been very leery of becoming unhinged at a blink of an eye.
