I loved my sit for Janet! She has two well behaved dogs, a beautiful house with a gorgeous pool and big backyard to play with Roo and River. She was so thorough with her instructions and made me feel so welcome. She is great with her dogs and cares so much for them. Overall had a really great experience and would sit for her again.
We enjoyed every minute in this lovely and lively home with wise Tarka and energetic Leo! You stand up from a chair? That's probably to throw me a ball? That's all Leo! And that was exactly what we needed. Long walks in the mountains, by the river, lots of fresh air, nice and warm weather, despite it was November and a house where you love to come back! WE would like to thank Leo and Katherine for the invitation, for very welcoming reception, for the great meals we had together. You really made us comfortable, thought about everything! I am still sorry that we didn't use your present - a session in the cryochamber, but I hope, one day))) So, thank you very much again! Pauline and Jeremy are very friendly and welcoming. Their house is beautiful and very comfortable, full of art from top to bottom, and just 10 minutes walk from the beach and the shops. Ned and Louis make a splendid double act...playing 'cat and mouse' around the house and then, the next minute, curling up together fast asleep. We had such a great time looking after them, but I was never quite sure who was taking who for endless long walks along the beach! Ned and Louis really are wonderful pets and such good company. During this stay in Berlin, I took care of Bruce, who turned out to be the most charming and adorable cat. Bruce loves to be petted and provides his companionship throughout various moments of the day. At the same time, he is quite discreet and well-mannered. Iva was extremely kind and generous, attentive to my needs and friendly. The house is lovely and comfortable, and the neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant. Highly recommended!
Jane Ann and Al have a lovely, neat and tidy home in a leafy cul de sac suburb of Concord. Their home has all the creature comforts a sitter could possibly wish for. Their welcome guide was very thorough and a hard copy was available on our arrival. They are well-traveled which makes for some really interesting conversations. Looking after their furry baby was such a pleasure. Poppy, a 7-year-old Labrador, is such an amazing dog. She was literally my little shadow. She is excellent in the car and just loves going on trips. She went out with us every single day. Al and Jane Ann allowed us the use of their “Lab Mobile” which allowed us to take Poppy wherever we went. We explored from Concord to Pittsburg. Martinez to Walnut Creek and many places in between. We found many puppy parks for Poppy in these areas’ which she thoroughly enjoyed – although some of the parks lacked adequate shade. Poppy’s favorite park is Baldwin Park. It’s only about 2 miles from home and she has many friends at this park. She plays with all those who are prepared to play with her and really enjoys the younger puppies. She gets so excited and starts doing the zoomies with her friends. Sometimes on her own too. You will not believe that she is already a big girl. Poppy’s is also excellent when you are out and about. She just loves the outdoors and is so well-behaved. In restaurants and pubs, she will greet everyone passing by and rest while you have an enjoyable meal or drink. At home, Poppy has ample space to play outside and loves “fetching” apples that have fallen from the tree. Apart from our first night, Poppy slept on our bed every night – totally exhausted. She’s a bit of a snorer if she gets into the wrong position which is hysterical ,but other than that she just cuddles in with you. Jane Ann and Al were so accommodating and generous towards us. They arrived home the late afternoon and allowed us to stay an extra night before heading off on our next adventure. They also took us out to dinner, along with Poppy of course, which was a real treat for us. We totally enjoyed our stay in Concord and cannot thank Jane Ann and Al enough for all they did for us. Thanks, guys and we hope to catch up with you in Colorado, Mexico, or South Africa or wherever else our paths may meet.
Merel is a fantastic host, it was an absolute pleasure to sit for her and Cleo! Fabulous communication, warm and welcoming handover, very detailed guide online and within the home. Sweet little welcome basket which was very appreciated, thank you! The listing is very accurate, apartment was clean and comfortable, in a nice area that's easy to get to central Amsterdam, not too difficult to get to from the airport either. Cleo is absolutely gorgeous, she will become your shadow, she loves a snuggle, and her routine is very easy. Missing her already! Thank you for a fantastic stay, would definitely return some day!
