Doing a pet/house sit for Jen and Mike will be one of the easiest sits you will ever do. The dogs, Frieda and Sage, are so sweet and so easy. The house sits on 1/2 acre and is fenced in, so all you need to do is feed the dogs, pet, and snuggle with them on the sofa at t.v. time and open the door when they want to go potty or play outside. They are very independent and like to be near you, but mostly nap and play outside during the day. They are very treat-driven and love you more with every treat distributed. I work from home on Zoom and on the rare occasion an animal or car wandered onto their land, they might bark, but all it took was a simple "no" and they would stop immediately. I've never met such a dog! They really are so easy and sweet. The house itself is comfortable and the wood burning fireplace and private outdoor hot tub make it special. Jen and Mike are very generous with lots of available wood and keep the hot tub heated and ready to go. You also feel very trusted with their girls. They don't hover or check in a lot, but really appreciate photos every few days and when I locked myself out, they were immediately accessible and I was back in the house in 10 minutes. They are very nice and easygoing. The location is great, not as remote as it may look. You can be parked in downtown Bend in 10 minutes for dinner/drinks. Numerous nice hikes within 20 minutes and a lovely trail that actually does feel remote along the Deshutes river, right in town, just minutes from the home. The people of Bend were singularly friendly and seemed to be truly happy with their environs, a nice treat coming from the Seattle Freeze. All around, I would highly recommend this sit if you would like to check out Bend. Great dogs, but also can be left alone if you want to spend a day exploring the area. Easy. Enjoyable.
This was a great housesit. Sparks is a wonderful Cavalier with a huge personality. He is full of energy, well trained and fun to be around. There was no lack of Cavalier loving during our stay! David and Steve were great at communication and staying in touch. Their home is lovely, close to downtown Guelph and adjacent to many walking trails. Their home has everything you need, is very comfortable and is easy to look after. David and Steve recommended excellent restaurants that were close by (make sure to get the egg rolls) and other shopping options. Thank you David and Steve for your hospitality and for selecting us. Look after Fig and Juno was a great experience. Fig is just adorable and I’m sure everyone will just love her. Such a tiny and playful dog that just make friends with everyone! So sweet, cuddly and will just follow you everywhere around the house and sit next to you. Juno, the elderly Siamese cat is more challenging to befriend but once you understand what she likes and don’t and you respect it she will slowly open up . I really fell in love with her and we became friends! You need lot of patience and as Barry had suggested since the beginning you need to give her space and time and wait for her to come to you ! Don’t try to pet her as she is not a fan . I can say after a week she started to get closer to me and instead of staying upstairs on her own she would just sit near me in the kitchen chair or table and be there. I even managed to stroke her before we left ! If you want to get her heart she loves “Dreamies” !! 😆 Barry, Kelly and all the family were great hosts! We met before hand and they gave us a set of keys each which was very thoughtful and welcomed us with kindness! Communication was always smooth and we had a great time in their beautiful home ! Anything you need was available and OMg the view from their balconies is really special !!!! Bethnal Green is a lovely area very central and with Victoria park 10 min away by walk ! We couldn’t ask for a better time. We really hope to be able to stay next summer ! I’m missing Juno as I was really starting to get along with her and Paul can’t stop thinking about cute Fig 😆😆🙏 Thank you guys again !!! All the best Simona & Paul
Adrienne's condo was an amazing place to spend 10 days in Denver. Its perfectly located at the heart of town near everything you could ask for. To top it off, Olive is an absolute angel. We fell in love with her from day 1. Olive Is playful, adventurous and affectionate.She was honestly the most delightful kitten and we will miss her so much. Thank you for letting us sit.

Loki cannot be happier every time he goes to Mandy! As he’s a corgi, our concern is that he is not with bigger dogs that could step and hurt him! But Mandy is always making sure all dogs are safe at all times… not to mention how much Loki loves Harry and Lauren, Mandy’s kids. He’s always so spoiled there! Wouldn’t trust anyone else!
Oh my god where to start I can’t express how happy and grateful I am to have found Mandy for my 3 fur babies. As you can imagine 3 is a lot to handle and I was finding it so difficult to find anyone who would take on all 3 🙈 But not a bother to Mandy! From the moment I meet Mandy, Lauren and Harry it has been the best experience. Mandy is so accommodating and so good and patient with all of the dogs. It can be nerve recking leaving your babies with someone but I never worry at all when they are with Mandy and I love all the daily update pics of them playing with their pals and the dogo birthday parties are just the sweetest thing 🥰 If you are looking for a daycare for your fur babies Mandy is 100% the best there is!
I have been bringing my dog to Mandy's Fairy Tails for two years now. Mandy is absolutely fantastic and my dog loves it there. When we pull up outside she gets so excited to see Mandy and her doggie pals. Dogs are so well looked after and happy. Mandy, Lauren and Harry love dogs and you can clearly see that. Our rescue Chihuahua Elly loves spending time at Mandy’s. With the attentive care she’s received, Elly has become a confident, friendly well socialised little dog. We got our dog a year and a half ago and were always unsure how to manage her when we were away - leave her with friends and have them put out? Put her in big kennels? That question was answered as soon as we brought her to Mandy's Fairy Tails Doggie Day Care. Fifi loves it here, knows when we are coming and bounds out of the car to go to the front door when we arrive. It's very personal, not too big, all the dogs I have seen here always look happy and Fifi has enjoyed her days and her overnight stays. We can't recommend it highly enough.
Within a few minutes of meeting Mandy with her warm welcome into her home, I knew she was who I wanted to leave Ted with. It’s obvious she treats him like her own, and he’s the happiest ball of energy going into her house every week. He’s walked, fed, socialised with family and dogs and it’s such peace of mind that I know he is so content and safe. Laura.
Mandy is fantastic with our puppy Molly and Molly gets so excited going in to see her friends each day. We didn’t think anyone would take a puppy so young (after all her injections) but it wasn’t a problem for Mandy. I really think it has helped with Molly’s training and she’s a confident little doggie. We love getting the daily updates and I couldn’t recommend Mandy highly enough😁
Mandy is the absolute best. My dog runs to the door when I say we are going to Mandy's. He is so happy and so well cared for. You couldn't ask for a kinder person to look after your dog. I would highly recommend.
We cant recommend Mandy’s Fairy Tails highly enough. Our dog loves his holidays with Mandy. She is just the loveliest person & treats Sam like one of the family. This facility looks great but they are not taking any new customers, regulars only. They’re advertising a service that basically isn’t available. They didn’t respond to my email enquiry but I see they replied to my review! If they’re not accepting new customers why do reviews matter?

Wonderful pet service, my dog (Elkhound) has stayed on several occasions now and I couldn't be happier with Gem Dogs and Jen! Every time we take the turn down to Jen's, my dog gets so excited in the car, he knows he is in for a great time and this gives me so much reassurance. He doesn't even want to come home when I go to collect him, but when I eventually get him into the car, he sleeps all the way home and though the night. He's a high-energy dog, yet he comes home very well exercised. The house is absolutely beautiful with a lovely pen for the dogs to eat in and have down time and a gorgeous large back garden too for fun and games. My dog absolutely loved Jen and why wouldn't he, she is a total animal lover, so friendly and welcoming. I'm thrilled to have found this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Will definitely be back again.

Not heated, cold and wet kennels. Dog came out traumatized and began shedding profusely.
Stay well away. Was told we could pick our dog up at a certain time, when we arrived there was nobody there, I called the owner and was shouted at down the phone and then hung up on. I’m not sure they even feed the dogs in the evenings on the weekends based on what she said. Stay far away from this owner.

Great Kennels have been leaving my dog and cat here for last 5 years multiple times every year. Always friendly service from Gerry and Audrey. Great value no nonsense service. Animals come back well fed and happy. My dog actually gets excited in a good way when he gets there as he is very social and loves the interaction with the dog in the adjoining run through the mesh that seperates them.
Do not leave your pets there, it's a filthy place, my dog and my sisters dog both got the mange from it.
Sent my Jack Russell here for 4 nights and he was really well looked after. Have rebooted for 2 weeks in the summer. I would highly reccomend
Dog was well looked after left for 9 days Told the owner that she doesnt mix well with people he had no probs with that she was feed the food we left .. Quick wash when we got her home and she is brand new
Had a look around the kennels today with a view to boarding the dog for a few days Gerry the owner answered all our queries and explained the routine for the dogs,looks clean and well organised so I have no worries.
A very basic kennels. Had our two dogs kenneled together for a week over Christmas and perhaps I was wrong and there was the option of heated kennels with proper beds but all our two had was a piece of plywood to sleep on in a cold unheated kennel. What annoyed us most was that they hadn't realised that when being fed that our older dog ate both bowls and our 1 year old came out very skinny with her ribs and spine very prominent and all tissue wasting badly. Never ever again...even though they say that you get what you pay for...this was very lazy service

Used the veterinary service here to help send our two dogs to Australia. Denis was excellent and helped ease our stress and concerns. A true animal lover Would absolutely recommend them for all veterinary needs
I have no words to describe how grateful I am to Lissenhall Bording Kennels. In January 2024, due to a veterinary error in Brazil, my two dogs were stuck at immigration and were forced to be quarantined. They took them from my arms at the airport, gave me a piece of paper with an address and left me without news for more than 12 hours. It was the worst night of my life! On the other hand, when I got there, I was very well received by Dennis and Catherine. They let me hug my dogs and were always helpful, explaining everything that was happening and what I should do. I decided to give them a vote of confidence and leave my dogs in the kennel for quarantine, as returning to Brazil with them would cause us even greater damage. And it was the best decision I made. We missed them for 4 months, but I could see how Catherine took great care of them, letting us see them whenever we wanted and regularly sending me photos and videos to show they were ok. Although the situation was horrible, finding people along the way who understood our pain and wanted to help us made it less painful. Thank you for everything! I will definitely leave my children when I go on vacation somewhere!

Highly recommend , super clean and our dog has always been so well looked after while boarding at Lissenhall over the last 10 years. Gets a great run and great customer service , the staff are lovely its very well managed.
Just found out I had posted this in the wrong place as in the Vet Hospital so posting here now. Even though it's 8 months old, it still applies. Sooo... Would never leave my beloved pets anywhere else. Catherine and staff take the best of care of them and knowing there are vets on site makes me feel very safe for my furbabies.
(Back in December since they take this post down constantly) Picked up my dog who could walk before being taken to Lissenhall kennels totally paralyzed. They do not cover the kennels from the rain. Took me a whole month to nurse him back to health. No idea what they drugged him with he lost 10lbs didn’t eat there either. Charged me 400$ for the privilege to clean his teeth terrify my dog and leave permanent hip damage along with soft tissue damage. This veterinary clinic should be closed straight away,They are The only clinic and cattery used by The department of agriculture for quarrantine ,they treated me and my family very ,very bad,they told us if we don t pay 850 euro for The quarrantine period ,they ll put The kitten down.They let us waitting 2 hours in The car park ,our kitten is subnutrited and very dirty,they treated us as garbage,they re very rude and they like to humiliate People,I hope somebody Will do something about this,myself I wrote to The minister Charlie MC Conologhue about this as should be more cateries allowed to quarrantine pets,as Estuary cattery ,Airport cattery,etc.They treated us and our pet as misery,I live în Ireland since 2001 and dealing with them I felt an inmigrant!
Our dog loved it. Stayed for 4 days. Very reasonable and look after the dogs really well. Will definitely be using again.
