Andrew was awesome! He was honestly one of the most supportive, attentive, communicative and caring hosts I’ve encountered thus far on THS. And his home is SO beautiful, comfortable and conveniently located making it very easeful to access Downtown. I enjoyed my time with Thrawn and Asokah. Andrew mentioned that Asokah had experienced some trauma and that it may manifest by way of her being a bit stand offish or withdrawn. However, my experience of this manifested as her wanting to be around and with me a lot. I’m honored that she felt so safe around me, for anyone sitting her in the future make sure to give her some special attention, she both needs and deserves it!!
It was lovely to stay at Beth's, with Sophie being sweet, gentle, and friendly! Beth was great and offered me tea when I arrived. We had a nice chat and she showed me where everything was, including the provided cat food, milk, and toys, etc. It was a nice surprise to find local brochures and guides for the Camberley area in the kitchen as well. Sophie warmed up to me quickly with the help of some treats. She's a quiet little kitty, with a super cute meow, but by the end of the stay, she was happy chasing my DIY cat toys and receiving endless chin scratches. I would describe her as "stomach motivated", and she will politely ask for treats anytime you go near the food cupboard! This is good, as she has a catflap and is free to go outside whenever she wants (I closed it at night). I never worried about her because the area is quiet with minimal traffic and I could always call her back with a rustle from the food wrappers. She is so beautiful, I had to do a little photoshoot with her. Wonderful model! The house isn't huge, but it was plenty warm and cosy (I stayed over Christmas), and Beth had fresh bedding for me. A nice quiet place with everything you need from Wifi, a washing machine, bath/shower, and lots of books :) The location is a quiet residential neighborhood and felt very safe, with plenty of parking. It took me just 15 minutes to walk to the local town of Camberly which has a train station, and bus stops were only a minute or two away on the main road. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place, with the sweetest company, don't hesitate to give Sophie and Beth a visit!
Wonderful pups and a beautiful property in the Asheville mountains but still in town, couldn't have been a better sit. Laura and Hank were very responsive to any questions/concerns during the sit and the dogs both were wonderfully welcoming and happy to have me. Oliver in particular made a great companion throughout the day and accompanied me on evening walks. Staying in the guest cottage added the perfect level of privacy and made for a perfect Trusted Housesitters experience. I would happily come back for a future sit and highly recommend to anyone else considering :)
My time at Sarah and Ross’s place was wonderful. They are so generous and kind. Reggie was such a cozy and cute companion! Caring for him was extremely manageable and enjoyable. The apartment felt very comfortable and safe.
We loved our weekend looking after Rafa, he is without a doubt the best-behaved dog we've ever met! He's a lovely boy and Charlie and Nick's house is perfectly located for playing fetch in the park (his FAVOURITE thing to do!). He loves to play with his toys in the house, loves snuggles, and is happy to be bathed after muddy walks. He truly was a joy to look after! Charlie and Nick's home is beautiful too, and it was lovely to meet them in person on our first evening to be given all of the info we need for our stay. Nick very kindly picked us up from the station. Thank you both for having us, and we'd love to return in the future to spend some time with Rafa!
