This is a dream sit, in a dream setting with two of the nicest, most interesting and genuine people you will ever meet, not to mention crazy-adorable dogs!! How do I even begin to describe this experience. Let's start with the setting, we arrived after dark, and after bedtime, but Wendy and French rallied to extend a warm welcome that felt more like a comfortable conversation with old friends rather than a first meeting. The house is filled with carefully collected art, and artifacts interwoven with lovingly arranged photos that tell the story of lives well-lived. But the candid warmth and kindness from Wendy and French was refreshing and invigorating. They are both adept at the art of making conversation which quickly revealed two lovely people with adventurous spirits and quick wits! The dogs are ABSOLUTELY adorable!!! Zeb is the most fun puppy I have ever met, his sweet natured play is entertaining and silly, he had me laughing out loud from the first moment. Nellie22 has found her inner puppy and can hold her own playing with Zeb, but also lets him know when she has had enough! They both love walks, especially to the beach nearby, it is in an idyllic setting for a pet sit. Tired from our journey, we fell right to sleep in a very comfortable guest room and slept soundly all night. Imagine our surprise waking up to the morning light bouncing off the water of Sheep Pond, as the house is perfectly situated with sweeping views of the water. It is simply breathtaking. If you are lucky enough to have the chance to sit for these darling dogs, and meet Wendy and French, don't hesitate. But be ready to make lifelong friends instantly! We would sit for them again in a heartbeat.
This was another home run sit. Erin was such a delight to get to know. She has such a warm and welcoming spirit. Very clear and helpful with anything I needed. Her home is so beautiful and homey as well. Being centrally located right by a park and "The Plaza" was very idea. It made for a fun adventurous stay. The fur babies are all lovely Nova is my best. She is the most sweetest dog who does very well with listening and playing with you. She was most definitely a protector and always helped make me feel safe. Both cats are extremely friendly and amazing cuddles. Fidget especially will be your shadow along with Nova instantly. I felt very loved by all of the pets. Even her next door neighbor is very friendly and easy to hold a conversation with. This is a sit that is located next to the party and fun life just a short mile away. This is a sit I'm sure many would jump easily to take and they should. I thank This family for the opportunity they presented me with. I definitely would sit for them again.
We loved looking after Digit, he's a true free spirit and has a sweet, affectionate side once you earn his trust. We enjoyed communicating with Jess and Paul too, despite a last minute change of dates which we resolved quickly between ourselves. Their apartment is really tastefully decorated and has everything you need. Their garden is also a super lovely space, especially in the hammock! The welcome guide and also our meeting before they left gave us all the information we needed to take care of Digit and their plants. The location is wonderful too, just a minute or two to the beach.
Sitting for Carmen was a wonderful experience! As a host, she has great planning and communication skills. I received adequate instructions, well in advance and had very minimal questions. And when questions or issues occurred, Carmen promptly responded, even while traveling internationally. Caring for Carmen’s fur baby, Lexi, was an enjoyable task, especially with Lexi being so affectionate and cute! Most days she sat by the window, lounged on the washer/dryer, or played with her favorite aluminum ball, and in the evenings she would lean on the armrest, resting. Like any typical cat, there were some occasional nights with the zoomies. Carmen and Lexi’s place is small, yet well designed, functional, and has many amenities. I found it very suitable for 2 people. I also loved the building and location (Inner Harbor), as it was very walkable to entertainment, restaurants, and shopping. I would definitely recommend this charming sit in the Charm City!
I had an amazing experience cat-sitting Misha in Prague! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. Their unique building and flat made the stay even more special. Misha was a joy to care for, and I look forward to the opportunity to do it again. Highly recommended!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Janelle and Domenic’s home. They welcomed us warmly, and their spacious, tranquil house provided a peaceful retreat. Taking care of their horses, Titano and Misty, was straightforward and didn’t require much time. Working with them on their private outdoor arena was a highlight. Auggie, their sweet cat, stole our hearts, and we spent many delightful moments cuddling with him. We wholeheartedly recommend this sit and look forward to returning in the future.
