Christine and Gino were welcoming, hospitable and generous. Their home is comfortable and secure. They are situated on lake Eire and the views changed every day and I enjoyed time on the patio with a coffee or a wine and a book taking in the scenery. Daisy is a little pug full of character. She loves to play but not to leave the house so much. However, Christine is very aware of her foibles and is more than happy to suggest compromise. She loves to be with you and to snuggle wherever you are. I took her everywhere with me in the car and then she enjoyed the new smells and her walks. The two cats have their own personalities and are no trouble at all. They know their routine and are content to be indoor cats. Overall a very positive experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt appreciated. Recommended highly.
We loved staying at Kathryn's place with everybody. Flint and Oslo were quick to adapt to us and were the most lovely and cuddly boys (yes, even Oslo wanted his cuddles after a day or two of getting to know us). The hens are just gorgeous and so curious, as soon as we arrived they came to greet us. They are very low maintenance and don't require much, but you can hang out with them outside a bit and watch them eat their watermelons if that's something you're into (we were!). Cracker and Biscotti are keeping to themselves but it's fun to have them around in the office. They were not vocal at all, we didn't have any problem using the office and working with them in the room. They will eat and drink and poop and mostly hang out together and live their own lives. The house was very comfortable and Kathryn made sure we had everything we needed. There is a lot of cool art in the house and many books. It was very relaxing and inspiring. The area is gorgeous too. It's a small town with beautiful nature and everything is very close to the house. Walking distance from downtown with cute stores and a nice park. Kathryn was really easy to communicate with and we kept in touch during the sit on a daily basis. Overall, I highly recommend to spend some time there if you have the opportunity to take care of this little family. We'd love to come back again!
This was a stellar housesit! First, the location is great. It's in a small German village that has all that you need. There's a bigger town just ~10 minute drive away with even more. It's just a gorgeous place to be. The house is big, spacious, and cozy. We stayed in the 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor with open access to the bigger kitchen and living room on the 3rd floor. The views are amazing! And the animals...they were such great companions. My young kids played with them all. Hunter was gentle, always up to be chased by the kids. Linus might be the coolest cat I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Seriously, a cool cat. Willow was shy for a few hours, but then she was as social as the others. All in all, the animals were friendly and easy to take care of. Simple. Gaby and Bobby were great hosts! Gaby went shopping for us before we arrived and filled the fridge with some necessities, as well as some chocolate treats! She communicated with us very clearly before and during the sit. A great housesit!

So glad that I was selected for this house sit. Perfect location for immersing yourself in Italian culture, with extremely thoughtful and abundant hospitality from Iris and Jibril. Don't be daunted by 6 dogs, just ensure you are confident to get to know their individual personalities and meet their needs with enthusiasm and love.
