It was such a pleasure to meet Tracy and Bruno! I had a fantastic house sitting experience. Tracy was thorough, thoughtful and generous when it came to helping me understand Bruno’s needs, the home, and the environment- this made the sit very easy. Tracy’s house is gorgeous and it really was like staying in a B&B, I was welcomed so warmly. I also have to mention, I love Tracy’s building - it is safe, clean and everyone is so neighborly! I felt at peace knowing I was surrounded by so much kindness. Little Bruno is the cutest and received love everywhere we went- he’s a star! Bruno loves his treats, cool breezes, hanging out and relaxing. Bruno and I quickly became besties and took on the vibrant area and local parks together! We had a blast! Bruno also loves being close to you when you’re at home and is a loyal and gentle companion. I would jump at the chance to sit for this wonderful family again and I am deeply grateful we were able to connect. Thank you Tracy!
Mimi is by far the most laid back housesitter I have ever sat for. She was easy to communicate with when I needed to and her place is in a great part of the city. Shackleton is so sweet and lovable. I highly recommend this housesit!
Chris was a great communicator and Lola was such a sweetheart! Enjoyable sit
This was a delightful sit and it was a pleasure to look after Maui and Kona we had a brilliant time, and we would thoroughly recommend this sit to you. You will stay in a lovely comfortable spacious, clean family and dog friendly home in a historic ,quiet neighbourhood of individual houses lined with ancient oak trees and wide red brick roads, ideal for dog walking yet at the same time also accessible to downtown Tampa restaurants bars riverside and entertainment. The house has a generous outside space and a nice veranda with lots of seating and outdoor games that you can use. You can work remotely with ease at this sit as there is strong Wi-Fi that even works at the brilliant dog park opposite! At the dog park we met many of the local neighbours there who were warm and welcoming sharing lots of helpful local knowledge with us. Maui and Kona were easy to bond with and they took to us immediately. We really liked them and enjoyed caring for them. They are straightforward easy going relaxed dogs, settled likeable affable soft and affectionate who love human company including children and to be near you. They do not have any separation anxiety and play well with each other. They enjoy going out on foot or in the car and it was a pleasure to take them. You will find they are like local celebrities when walking them as they are very popular and eye catching when out walking garnering constant attention and compliments with everyone wanting to say hallo! At home and out they enjoyed human contact and affection and we were happy to oblige with numerous ear tickles and back strokes and they will even position themselves so it makes it easier for you! They will want to sleep on the bed with you but if this is something you do not want that will not be a problem. We were happy to oblige. They chill out and rest but with one eye open in case you want to play! They will sit at your feet in restaurants or bars and enjoy walks along the local fishing piers as they did with us. Their other favourite activities were going to the dog park and socialising with other dogs off leash, as they would leap and run around with circles of joy. We think they were at their happiest when we took them to the dog beach on Davis Island, a ten-minute car ride away. They absolutely loved it, running along the beach chasing balls, splashing in the water, and playing with other dogs. Maui is a beautiful strong dog, a typical puppy retriever affectionate and excitable who occasionally paws and mouths and sometimes jumps up. He is always sociable and is slightly more dominant than Kona. He sometimes pulls on the lead and is occasionally distracted by birds and squirrels. Walking him side by side with Kona works well as they both enjoy it and it makes them easier to walk. We found being a couple is an advantage as it might be a challenge for one person, particularly of slight build to walk them both on the lead at the same time. Kona is older more measured quieter with less energy apart from when she is chasing balls and swimming. She is good at both and incredibly determined to catch and keep her balls - she is fast when she needs to be and tries to carry two balls at the same time which made us smile! You will have the opportunity whilst at this sit to explore Tampa as the location is very central. As well as enjoying diverse local farmers and artisan markets in Hyde Park and St Petersburg and listening to live music meandering along piers and looking at sculptures you can also enjoy the river-walk in Downtown Tampa and enjoy dog friendly outside bars overlooking the water. You can walk along interesting arts and historic river trails and enjoy cocktails craft ales and fish and chip suppers overlooking Hillsborough bay. There are several beautiful beaches nearby and also an excellent Italian restaurant ten minutes’ walk away that has a highly recommended happy hour with pizza beer and cocktails. You can do all of this with the dogs as they like going out and about. The only place they did not join us was when we attended an evening concert in Clearwater. The Andrews family are lovely sporty helpful generous and friendly hosts, leaving a full fridge of drinks and food including beer (thank you). We did not meet Joe unfortunately who had travelled to their holiday destination but were welcomed by Stephanie and her delightful children. They are golfers and a sporting family who enjoy fitness and are warm and welcoming. They are trusting and were happy to give us a brief introduction to the house and facilities before they left for their family spring break. They left us some very helpful notes as well. We truly felt like trusted house sitters. We think we lived up to their trust and were happy with us when they returned. Our mutual communication was excellent via WhatsApp and we managed to give them daily updates and lots of photos of the fun and adventures cuddles and love their gorgeous dogs were having. They were able to share their timings for the end of their trip. We have no hesitation at all in recommending this sit to you and we are thankful that the Andrews family chose us.
Lovely dogs, lovely home, lovely area. All very easy and relaxed. Thanks Juliet and Mark, hope to see the girls again!
Sully is a big, lovable Golden Doodle - with TONS of energy! He's a super sweetheart and I enjoyed hanging out with him in Jersey City. It's a great location - short walk to Hoboken Path. Beautiful view of NYC skyline. Because Sully still has puppy energy - he pulls on the leash at all times - more than any dog that I've walked before. I'm a big person and I really felt his pulling during the walks.I feel Sully would be best /w dog sitters who are experienced with big dogs with high energy (if you can take him on runs - even better!). And I wouldn't recommend him for sitters who are smaller/slight in stature. I got used to his pulling and found ways to keep him on track. Keeping him close /w retractable leash. Stopping often for "sit" and "wait." Giving him time in the dog run for chasing a ball - to expend energy. And keep an eye out for his kryptonite - squirrels! Sully is a love! If you're comfortable /w big dog, puppy energy, you'll have a great time.
