This was our first house sit and with the bar having been set so high, will certainly be a difficult one to beat! Diana has a wonderful home set in a lovely Hampshire countryside location, with great walking routes nearby and a superb dog friendly pub in the local village, just a short walk away . We were able to meet with Diana in person before the sit dates and found her to be most personable and welcoming. She provided us with comprehensive pre-sit instructions and introduced us to Bella, Missy and Bumble who are all great loveable characters. We felt really at home and very comfortable whilst looking after Diana's house and her beloved pets. Both Tracey and I were sorry to leave when Diana and her husband Tim returned from their holiday and would jump at the opportunity to house and pet sit for them again. We would not hesitate in recommending Diana to any future prospective house-sitters.
Our sit was relaxing and enjoyable at Lisa's home. Lisa is so calm and easy going ! Martha loved her walks, and the park is literally just down the block. Martha also loves to sit outside on the deck, often sitting on the deck chair to our amusement, watching for the squirrel to surface in the nearby tree. Simon and Trixie were entertaining as kittens are known to be, and spent lots of in- between time snuggled up on Charles's lap while he was reading. We did close the bedroom door as Lisa mentioned to us if you choose the option to sleep in without a kitten exploring , and they happily moved to the living room. We did not get out to the local restaurants, but we know there are great ones nearby. As mentioned in the listing, if you do not have a car, the location is ideal to use public transportation, even the grocery store is within walking distance if you choose. Delightful family !
I had the most magical time here! Firstly, what an incredible couple! They are such friendly, fun, interesting and genuine people, who made me feel so welcome in their lovely home. Communication before and during was seamless, and they made sure that I had everything I needed and more for a very comfortable stay. Oscar and Beanie are both such sweet, gentle and well behaved cats, who are an absolute joy to care for. They love to lounge and are quick to purr when you pet them. I’ll miss those two little sweeties! Even more stunning in person, I soaked up the gorgeous view every evening on the deck, listening to the birds and crickets, and enjoying the incredible variety of wildlife, which included a family of deer, hummingbirds and so many butterflies. If you’re lucky enough to stay here during the right season, you can also enjoy the amazing herb and vegetable garden that they are so generous to share. Highly recommend! I hope to come back and visit again in the future. Thank you so much for the most wonderful, beautiful and relaxing stay! : )
If I could give this sit more thumbs up, I definitely would. The Countiss family, Karen and Dan, are so thoughtful and gracious. Their home is beautiful and spotless but not stuffy and museum-like. The guest area is so comfortable, complete with your own tv/sitting room. Let me tell you about this bed...literally the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in, literally! Using the stairs to get to my room gave me a good mini workout when needed but became easier each time. They aren't difficult to maneuver, just different because my home is a ranch style. Karen left very clear direction for everything as well as a printed Welcome Package. We enjoyed a great dinner together with their daughter, Olivia. I had a minor issue with the garage door and Olivia quickly came to my rescue. The fur babies are just that "big lovable babies"! Cooper is the "Overseer". He makes sure all is well in the world. Bandit will be you faithful companion forevermore. Both dogs are very well behaved and easy to care for. You will fall in love with them. Communication is easy and quick...Karen's response time is very quick. The Countiss' are now in my friends category not just clients. They helped me tremendously during my stay. I would return to their home in a heartbeat, if requested.

We had a great time looking after Rufus and Teague! They were perfect gentleman and were endlessly entertaining from the moment we met them. They are super snuggly and always wanted to be wherever we were, whether it was helping us in the kitchen, bbqing or just hanging out on the deck enjoying the incredible views from the house. They are excellent company! Renay and Pete are fantastic hosts who were always super quick to reply and easy to communicate with the entire time. They kept us in the loop with their trip details and sent us fantastic pics from their trip! Their instructions were clear and easy to follow and we have really enjoyed getting to know them. Renay and Pete have a lovely home in a great neighbourhood with neighbours that really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We highly recommend this sit and would gladly be back to look after Rufus and Teague anytime! Thanks guys!
