We enjoyed a nice weekend in the White Oak suburb of Cincinnati taking care of the Opal and Reilly and their chicken siblings. Melissa and Brian were great folks and we loved their unique and beautiful home on a quiet street in the suburbs. The dogs were energetic and loving and warmed up to us immediately after we played with them in the yard. The house featured all the comforts of home and then some, and by the time we left we were talking about coming back to visit Melissa, Brian and the dogs!
We spend 2 days in Bath looking after Joey and Delilah and had a lovely time. Sue has been very friendly, we felt like being welcomed by an old friend, and accurate in giving a the information needed for the weekend. Joey and Delilah have completely different personalities, possibly also due to the age difference, but we enjoyed a few walks (unfortunately it was rainy so we weren’t able to be out much) and lots of relaxing sofa time. Sue’s house is very pretty in a great location with a lovely view. It is also not far from Bath’s town centre, which is a plus. I’d definitely recommend this sitting and would definitely to go back if there is a chance.
We had a lovely housesitting in Christina´s and Phillip´s house. All the pets are very easygoing and cuddly. It´s very easy to take care of them. We admired the symbiosis among them. The dog plays with the cats, the cats play with the rabbits. It was like a TV programme :-)The house is spacious with a little garden in addition, there is everything what you need. The communication with the family was quick and clear. They accepted us although we are a family with three small kids.
Cant express enough how grateful and lucky I feel that Alison have chosen me to take care of sweet Daisy and Nelson, and her gorgeous home. Alison and Sophie are the most lovely hosts. I felt at home from the first moment when meeting them! Daisy and Nelson might seem a bit intimidating idea to commit to take care of because of their age, but I’m glad I didn’t let their years stop me, they are both very healthy and in great shape, if Alison didn’t tell me I would’t know how old they are. They are absolutely sweet pets to take care of, I miss both of them very much. Nelson specially made me smile so much, he followed my all around the house all the time, I used to think that he wanted more food when he was doing his super cute meowing, but I realised that he just wanted more cuddles, and well, he will always eat more food too :) I loved my stay in SevenOaks. It was a great break from busy London. When I arrived there, I knew that was exactly what I needed, peace and quiet, surrounded by beautiful green, a holiday in the holidays, to recharge again. I had great walks enjoying all the scenery, loved every moment of it! Communication was great all the way through, Alison and Sophie are very caring and attentive, and would always answer any questions I had. I felt very safe all times and very well taken care of. Whenever I’m ready to return to the UK again, I will be more than happy to take care of Nelson and Daisy again whenever they need, just call me and I will be there! Thanks again for this beautiful experience that I will always remember!
This is a wonderful sit. Erika and Gerhard are simply lovely. They made me feel so welcome from the minute I met them. I stayed in one of the other apartments and Pedule would just meow at the door when he wanted to come in, or come in the window if it was open. He slept in the bed with me on the nights he wasn't out hunting 😁. This was my first time sitting chickens, they have so much personality and it was fun to chat to them because they really looked like they were listening. Rudline loves to be stroked and she is so soft! And I got fresh eggs daily which was a fantastic bonus. Pedule is a very independent cat, he's definitely not a lap cat and I felt very privileged when he came looking for attention, he even brought a present and left it at the door one morning, then I knew he liked me 🤣🤣. Niederau is a beautiful place, the scenery is stunning and everyone I met was very nice and friendly. It's a quiet village so if you want hustle and bustle it's not for you but if you like amazing hikes, skiing in winter and somewhere to chill it's spot on. The apartment was lovely and comfortable and had everything I needed during my stay. I would do this sit again in a heartbeat and would recommend it totally.
Anna, her family, home, dogs and plants are absolutely lovely! I would sit here again whenever plans align. I can't say enough good things. If you love plants and nature - the house is a dream come true. Bailey and Bear are lovely souls to look after as well. I found them both endearing.
