The Saluki brothers were the sweetest dogs we ever house sat for. We took care of them for 1 week. They always follow us wherever we go, and hangout with us either indoors or outdoors. They were very friendly to us since the very first minute. The first 2 or 3 nights they woke us up in the middle of the night howling for some reason but then the following nights they stopped. They eat twice a day and you can only leave them for 6 hours which was enough time for us to some days go to the city and explore a bit Rome. They’re such a wonderful company! As for the house, it’s ideal for people who loves nature and also wants to have a get away from the city. For us, it worked perfectly because it allowed us to rest, be in contact with nature, do some work with, and explore a bit Rome. Going to the city takes 40 mins to an hour but it’s very easy, you have a 5 to 10 minute walk to the bus station and then the bus will take you to the metro line that goes to downtown. It’s a big house and garden which requires a lot of maintenance and good thing their gardener/all around handy man, Catalino, is always available to help. Ursula and Massimo were very nice. They picked us up from the metro station when we arrived and also dropped us off for our departure. They answered all our questions and messages every time we needed something and they invited us for dinner the day we arrived. We are glad we got to spend some time with them. Kim, Ollie, Molly and Baxter what a great family. Kim is super friendly and laidback, happy to show me all the ins and outs of their home and what I needed to care for the 3 adorable fur babies. Although I was only there for 2 nights it’s clear all 3 cats are very chilled, possibly a reflection of their upbringing and having an equally chilled mentor in Kim. The apartment is in a fantastic location with a park across the road and major route bus tops inbound and outbound literally at the doorstep. A PAWfect location to be based for a pet sitter with an equally fantastic and the purrrfect trio. So should you be lucky to be selected in the future do yourself a favour and accept it with open arms / paws as if you love cats your will love this pet sit.
Thank you Mary, John and Ike for a wonderful weekend in Monterey! Mary and John are incredible hosts and Ike is one of the nicest dogs you will ever meet. Mary was so easy to communicate with prior to and during the sit. We coordinated a time to go over everything and met a few hours before their departure which was perfect. John was so kind to provide maps and information on all the great things to do in the area and even gave us information of the neighborhood with all the access trails highlighted. They really planned ahead and knowing that we love to hike provided great recommendations. Their house is beautiful, comfortable and with the most incredible deck and views. Ike will melt your heart and he is truly one of the easiest dogs to care for. He's a dream to walk and doesn't pull or bark. He loves to be brushed and was a perfect companion wherever in the house we happened to be. The house location can't be beat with direct access to Huckleberry hill trails and a very easy walk into Monterey. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful with nature all around. We would definitely recommend this sit and we hope to have the opportunity to come back and take care of the sweet boy Ike. Thank you again Mary and John

We had a lovely time at Helen’s. Helen was clear in her instruction, warm and responsive, which was appreciated. Herbie was the sweetest cat, very easy to look after and friendly. He seemed to love his daily brushes, as did we, haha! We’d return again 😊
Amy has loving, fun, sweet pets and I enjoyed all my cuddle time with them. The instructions that were left were very well written and the home is very comfortable. There was lots of communication during the sit. It is very evident that Amy truly loves her babies!

Just boarded my lab there for 8 days. Very pleased. Kind owner. My dog was happy and well fed when I picked him up. I used to board him at Gochenaurs before their prices became insane and from there, he would be anxious and smelled so strongly of urine. MUCH better experience here.
There disrespectful and have been discriminating towards people because of there appearance and how they present there self. No person or dog should have to go through that. At any place, shape or from. I go get my dog from this place on the 29th of this month (June) cause they say he was sick they wouldn't let me take him or bring him back. I see why now he had got some infection and a UTI from being there. They are nasty people there.

We boarded our dog here once (over Labor Day weekend) and she seemed fine if a bit hoarse and tired. Never got kennel cough or anything like that. It's a small business but seemed clean, etc. We were satisfied if not overjoyed. However, the customer service here is terrible. I've never reached a human being even when I call during their operating hours, and they take literally HOURS to call you back (which just fills this pet lover with comfortable safe feelings). This by itself isn't great, but the kicker was today. I called and left a voicemail asking if they were available for some April dates to board my dog again. I received a voicemail back saying that they'd looked me up and that 1) I had never boarded my dog with them, 2) that I had made a reservation last July that I was a no call/no show for, and 3) that I should call the kennel I boarded my dog with instead. There was absolutely no concern whatsoever about whether or not they even got my name right (they didn't). They called me back (voicemail - I was putting kid to sleep) saying that I was definitely a no call/no show for that weekend, and that I did not board with them Labor Day weekend, and that I had the wrong kennel. For the record... they give you so many branded scratch pads, post-its, etc. that we've been literally stocked up all winter. Guess I just randomly stole all their stuff. So... I guess if you like bad record-keeping, being wrong simply because they say so, and not being able to have actual real-time conversations with people... board your dog here.
I boarded my dog here one time before, no issues. Now the second time I went to have him boarded they made the drop off and pick up hours extremely difficult to work around especially for people who are leaving for vacation. So once we found someone who was able to drop our dog off I called the kennel back AFTER they had already confirmed the dates with me and I let them know the name of the person dropping off and picking up, I was then told I couldn’t board the dog there any longer. Literally less then 24 hours prior to them telling me my dog was able to be boarded.. if you are going to have such short drop off and pick up times then they should have been willing to work with us when we found someone to help us with the drop off and pick up. I am extremely upset and disappointed with this business. I won’t be bringing my dog back here. There’s also no grass area for my dog to run which is another factor in this decision going forward.
