You could search this entire site, and no house or couple on here could beat the experience we had. We've stayed two separate times, and absolutely LOVE Steve and Karen and their lovely pups. To start, we met them over video chat to discuss care for the pups. They immediately put us at ease and gave us plenty of instructions. They were above and beyond accommodating, and showed a rare kindness and sincerity that encapsulates what I think TH is really about - restoring people's faith in community. Ana and Diesel are playful, well-behaved, and very sweet. We got such a kick out of their backyard playtime and enjoyed helping them get their exercise. Diesel took a bit to warm up (and eat his dinner!), but he is still such a wonderful and gentle pup. Ana is a ham for attention, and has the cutest personality. They both enjoyed hanging out with us while watching a movie, or just eating dinner. As for the house, we could stay forever...it truly is a resort. Between the pool, sauna, gym, pool table, and separate guest area, the only bad experience here is having to leave! Although we live further away now, we'd come back in a heartbeat, schedule-permitting.
It was an absolute pleasure housesitting for Amy and Andi. They have a lovely home, and it is in such a great location with easy access to the city centre as well as beautiful lakes and meadows. Albus was such a sweet kitten and very cuddly and playful. Pixel was a bit more independent but happy for a pat and a cuddle when she was in the mood. It was easy to communicate with them whilst they were on holiday, and I would happily housesit again!
It was lovely meeting Steve and Neeta. They fed us, kindly picked us up at the train station, and drove us to our next stop as we are traveling by public transit. Brodie was a delightful companion as we explored the area, she was playful and a wonderful cuddler. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our time on their home very much.
I had a great stay with Pumpkin, she is a really lovely cat. She soon warmed up to me as a result of some tasty treats. When used to me she enjoyed some lovely chin and ear rubs and chasing after her favourite spring toy. Jaimie and Orwin were really lovely and super helpful; especially when sharing some great tips on the local area! The house is ideally located in a lovely cul de sac and was very clean and tidy. I had a lovely weekend stay and would highly recommend this house sit.
We loved our time in Beckenham. The two pets were a pure pleasure to care for. Ruby was one of the friendliest dogs we have met in six years of house-sitting. Bobby, the cat, was aloof at first, but warmed up to us to join us for evening TV and came up to sleep with us at night. Beckenham is quiet, safe and great to explore. It had everything we needed, a two minute walk to the bus, and 20 minutes by train to central London. But the best part of the stay were our hosts. Kelly and Andy were friendly, helpful, and totally responsive to our questions and requests. We couldn't ask for better hosts.
P'tout and Pichou are two very sweet girls! They walked nicely together - unless they saw another dog or one of the many cats in the area. Noelle however has special leashes that help to control such situations. I totally enjoyed my walks with the girls and the time together in the home. Btw Pichou sheds A LOT,. Communication with Noelle was swift. She had organized a monitor for my notebook so that I could work comfortably, thank you! I wish she had also cleaned the dog bowls and the compartment in the fridge reserved for me and had picked up the dog waste in the yard. The rest of the house was spotless. Would sit for Noelle anytime again.
