Wow, I got lucky when I landed this sit. Despite not meeting Kristin in person, I immediately warmed to her inviting and positive vibes during our video chats. Her home is gorgeous - a well-appointed one-bedroom apartment only a few blocks from the (very long) beach, and close to a ton of restaurants and a Vons supermarket. Kato and Xo, though, are the real stars of the show. Absolutely gorgeous, well-behaved cats that are adored by Kristin (and now me). Kato is quick to share his abundant love, enjoying constant petting, under-chin strokes, and playtime. Xo was slowly warming to me and allowing short cuddles, and I'm confident next time (here's hoping!) that she will relax even more. I felt like I was in the presence of cat supermodels and couldn't stop taking pics as they were both so good looking! If you get a chance to care for Kato and Xo (because I'm not available - tee hee), do it! Thank you Kristin for trusting me with your precious fur fam!
I've just returned from a magical experience pet-sitting for Cathryn and Maureen. From the moment I stepped across the threshold of their beautiful house to be greeted by the adorable Saffy I felt welcomed and at home. Saffy, along with Harvey and Marty were a joy to be around and are a credit to their owners - so well behaved and such delightful company. This was my first pet-sitting experience with Trusted Housesitters and I fear I have been utterly spoiled by it! Anyone who has the opportunity to sit for this family of humans and pets will be the luckiest of sitters. Thank you for a truly special experience.
Housesit host Kerri made us welcome from the moment we walked up the cobblestone path to her tucked-away cottage. The renovated home is a quiet sanctuary in the heart of Newcastle and a brief stroll from the restaurant district of Darby Street. We were smitten with her puppy, Evie Willow, who was exuberant, sweet-natured and affectionate. She was also a joy to exercise at two nearby parks (and along the city's seaside walks). She is universally friendly -- with other dogs and people. Kerri left clear instructions about her dog and her home, and she was responsive to any queries we had throughout the stay. The neighbours were also helpful and friendly! We loved our week of luxury with Evie Willow and highly recommend the home and gardens of this peaceful gem.
Sweet kitties, beautiful view, and great communication. Danielle is kind, considerate, and a great communicator. Anticipating that we probably hadn’t eaten, she had dinner waiting for us the evening we arrived. She also left us detailed information about the area and her favorite local spots. She was prompt and clear in all communication leading up to and throughout the sit, including when we encountered minor challenges with the house. Mocha and Aria are highly enjoyable companions. They are playful, curious, silky soft, and very easy to care for. Although initially a bit hesitant, they were affectionate and cuddly once they became more familiar with us. They often made us smile, and we enjoyed our time with them.
This is a great sit! Rachel sent me short, quick videos so everything I needed to know was SO easy to learn. I loved it! The house is well appointed, decorated very nicely, comfortable and in a great neighborhood. I spent hours by the gas fireplace that you turn on with the flick of a switch. I Askterisk Dinner Club nearby has great vibes and the Polaris Mall is super close. Belle is seriously the easiest.dog I have ever cared for. She has great manners and is obviously happy and secure with her surroundings. Rachel is a wonderful host. She even left me treat of freshly baked bread. It was delicious!
This was a great sit. Hannah is super easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Tollie loves to lay in your lap and ask for food, and overall very easy to take care of. I found that Tollie would often “tell” me what she needed, which made it easy for me as well. Would sit again!
