Hannah was top notch! Where do I begin? I’ll begin with the fact that she jumped into caregiver mode when our cat swallowed a huge piece of grass and had to go to pet emergency for surgery. 😮‍💨 Hannah was amazing! So caring and responsive. She called the veterinarian and ultimately the pet hospital, consulting and keeping us in the loop the whole time! She ended up spending a good 24 hours dealing with this emergency and kitty was ok. After this we consulted on ways to prevent this from happening again and decided to try to keep him inside. Hannah showed a tremendous amount of patience as she put up with him howling to go out continuously. She made efforts to ease this transition by buying fancy toys to try to distract and keep him entertained. In the end we decided to let him out for short periods of time to satisfy his need for exploration and exercise. Hannah never did anything w/o communicating with us and she was kind and patient throughout! She developed a close bond with our cat, and after this unfortunate crisis, things settled down and she was able to enjoy nightly cuddles with the cat. In addition, Hannah cared for all of our outdoor and indoor plants, took in mail, took out garbage and even mailed a few things for us! I highly recommend Hannah for any future house/pet sitting! She is responsible, easy going, flexible and trustworthy!!

Allison
Allison was a wonderful host! She was very communicative and provided detailed instructions via the Welcome Guide. We are grateful for her generous hospitality being flexible with her dates and allowing a family member to stay with us.

Our time at Allison's home was memorable. We enjoyed her spacious balcony, kitchen and grill. It was also a pleasure to be able to let the cats outside with us! Her home is close to many options for public transit and free parking. She was also mindful enough to leave space for our belongings in the bathroom and bedroom.

Pickle and Pringle are two sweet hearts. Pringle was comfortable with us right away. He greeted us at the door, asked for lots of love, play and outdoor time. Pickle is a bit shy and needed a few days to warm up to our presence. When he did, dynamics changed and he became our shadow, turning into a cuddly lap cat. Play time is a thrill with these two. Pickle absolutely loves when you hook the spring toy on the wand and Pringle has the hops like no other cat. They are both extremely smart, well behaved and adapt quickly to your lifestyle. We were amazed at how fast Pringle learned the 'paw' trick for treats!

We'd absolutely sit for Allison and her loveable cats again!

Ok, at first I was a little nervous about keeping a large doberman, I thought I'd play it cool and maybe just make sure not to get in his face - OH GOSH NO, Blue is the cuddliest, sweetest baby you have ever met in your life! He'd sit in your lap if he were small enough (and half does anyway.) I was kissing his face in no time. I did appreciate that he (usually) slept while I worked during the day, or I was letting him out, or Buddy in, in their eternal quest for treats. Most evenings, I was on the couch with Blue on one side and Mimi cat on the other, or with her by my head. Mimi will definitely let you know when she's hungry, usually about an hour before she *ought* to eat, but that's usually a good time to get some petting in. I will say the only time Blue's 100 pounds comes into play is on our morning walks - he does pull a bit, and it's possible one of my arms is now a touch longer than the other, but he was never out of control and always responds to stop or wait when a car comes by or I need to readjust. And the more walks we took, the better he was.

As for the house - what a neat place! I love that the brothers have houses next to each other and I love the reclaimed/rainwater system! It's always so cool to see something new in a house and I was fascinated. Otherwise, it's super comfortable to cook and relax in - and I tended to sit at the dining room table to work, so I could look out the window at all the beautiful birds! The area is really nice - verging into the hill country with lots of wineries and breweries around. Scott & Steve can tell you exactly where to go - I really enjoyed the Ghost Note right next door. And Dripping Springs is nice - there's a small main street one road back from the main road, and I really liked Rolling in Thyme & Dough, a coffee shop and bakery near the main road. Buda is also super cute and about 30 minutes east of Dripping Springs. And while this sit feels farther away from Austin than my previous three Austin-area sits, it was actually closer! I enjoyed not having to drive for an hour everywhere I went.

All in all, I really enjoyed this sit - it was so quiet and relaxing! I'd come back to snuggle with Blue and Mimi any time.

Sally and Brian welcomed us with a lovely meal the evening before they left.
Their home is very comfortable and in a beautiful location. Lots of wildlife visiting the garden and in the fields.
Jambo was a delight, obedient and well trained. He has the most lovely nature and is always up for a walk.
A 5 star sit.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return, hopefully we are.

I had a great sit with Kari and Keith. Their condo is in a great location with easy access to trails, shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Mt. Sanitas is about a ten minute drive which offers a quick solid hike.

Dunkel and Nisha are fun to hang out with. Dunkel has the cutest meow I think I have ever heard. He loves being pet and will let you know when he wants more head scratches. Nisha is quieter but still enjoys head scratches and playing with shoelaces or crinkle toys.

Kari and Keith are easy to communicate with and are responsive to any questions or concerns you may have. I would not hesitate to recommend this sit or stay again!

It was a pleasure to look after Maud and Cedric who were both easy and delightful. Peter and Wendy are generous handover hosts. We enjoyed a warm welcome and delicious supper and loved living in their barn conversion, which is close to all the best of North Norfolk and yet private, secluded and rural. We’d very happily return, if asked.
