We loved staying at Nick and Amanda’s! What a beautiful home. It is very well set up and easy to keep. Feeding chickens, ducks and the cats everyday was simple. We had a surplus of eggs and lemons. Thank you so much for the opportunity. Julie
Our 6 weeks at this sit flew by. Snowy is such a sweet girl, very low maintenance and well behaved. Sassy is more demanding but lovable. The garden and fish require minimal care. We had easy communication with David and Marie throughout the sit and both are good natured and easygoing. This is easy to say of people when nothing goes wrong but especially true here given the couple of hiccups we had (they saw the humor in the situation when we accidentally poop roomba'd their house, and made sure we didn't feel guilty when Sassy came down with a mysterious infection on our watch and needed multiple visits to the vet). Their house is comfy and has all the modern amenities including robots to do the vacuuming and grass cutting, plus additional luxuries like a hot tub and sauna. The forests and ponds nearby are beautiful and we had a lovely summer going around the numerous walking trails with the dogs!
Oscar and Steiner are very lovable dogs. I had a great time caring for them and playing with them during my stay. They are both high energy and love playing ball! They are affectionate dogs and great companions. Brad and Tiana are kind and communicative hosts. They were proactive in checking in and making sure everything was running smoothly. The converted bus had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I had never tried off-grid living before, but have been curious about it for a while. I was able to work remotely at my 9-5 job as a software engineer. The hot spot internet speed was a bit on the slow side (about 5Mbps) during my stay, but it was enough to stream videos and participate in zoom meetings with video off. Verizon signal was strong enough to FaceTime with clear video both ways. The sprawling ocean view from the lanai + yard is gorgeous - perfect for enjoying the sunset. They live very near Kealakekua Bay, which has some of the best snorkeling on the Big Island. All town amenities were within a 10 minute drive. I didn’t have to go into Kona even once. You can also take a free tour and sample Kona coffees on nearby coffee farms. Overall a great sit I would recommend to other dog-lovers who enjoy being outside! I would happily sit again.
Was an amazing experience. All the pets super amazing!!😻. Bianca and her family super generous and friendly. We really enjoyed a lot this experience. The apartment in the middle of the forest and beautiful views. Completely recommended! Thank you Bianca! We will miss everyone!
