So sorry this is a late feedback as I thought I'd done it.! It was my first sit ..so I thank Barbara and Bill for choosing me to care for their loved lab Penney and the two lovely crafty cats Sweep and Toby.i think we all had a wonderful time ...and it was in the heat of July so really had to consider the animals welfare. I'd like to think we have developed a friendship and we do keep in touch ., I'd go back anytime
Lisa's home and kitty are delightful ❤️ Her unit is in a safe and secure area, very close to the subway line (about 15 minutes to downtown), and surrounded by numerous food options. Lisa provided plenty of helpful recommendations! It took Morty about 24 hours to make an appearance, but once he did, we immediately hit it off! He's an incredibly sweet and cuddly cat who enjoyed sitting on my lap and getting brushed while purring away ☺️ Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it! And just a friendly heads-up for fellow housesitters: in chilly weather, the key lockbox might decide to freeze, so plan accordingly. Also, consider giving yourself some bonus time for laundry – the dryer surprised me by taking a bit longer than expected to work its magic on the sheets. Happy travels!
I was completely smitten with Rodney and Mabel, such lovely dogs. They were no trouble to look after, had good recall and loved cuddles. The family were very accommodating and communications before and during the sit was excellent. A comfortable home in a lovely area.
I had a lovely weekend pet and house sitting for Jo and Travis. Communication with Jo was quick and efficient and they made me feel comfortable right away! Their home in South Philly is renovated, lovely and beautifully decorated (even nicer than the pictures). Travis is an absolute sweetheart. You will fall for him right away. He has a sweet disposition, is incredibly mild mannered, and just a joy to spend time with. We went on a few walks every day and when we were home, he napped/rested/snuggled. Walks were a bit shorter than normal because of a heat wave but we stopped for water breaks during every walk to cope. All instructions about feeding, medicine, and treats were simple and straightforward. Travis will eat when he feels like it which matches his relaxed nature :) If you want to explore South Philly and look after a treasure of a dog, I'd highly recommend connecting with Jo and Travis!
We had a fantastic stay at Cathy and Walter's house in Mount Vernon. The neighborhood was welcoming and friendly, and we were made to feel right at home by our hosts and their adorable pets, Maisie and Aretha. We loved taking walks with Maisie on the nature path behind the house where we would see deer, eagles, swans, and even river otters. Maisie loved to sit and watch TV with us, and Aretha was a cuddle bug from the moment we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Mount Vernon and hope to return someday. A special shoutout to the wonderful neighbors who invited us over for dinners and offered to help in any way. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
Very pleasant sit in a beautiful location with a nice garden attached to the house. Finlay is such a lovely and well behaved dog, I already miss him. Pokey, the cat is very independent, but she likes cuddling too. Thx to Elaine for your trust and handling everything so easy and relaxed.
