This is a wonderful pet sit for anyone energetic and who loves to adventure along coastal and country walking tracks several times a day with Bonnie, Cassie and Millie for company.
Bonnie, Cassie and Millie are very attentive and friendly. Although they are used to having time to run free on their walks or on the beach, we played cautious and kept them on the lead, they seemed to be happy with this arrangement as if making temporary allowance for us. As long as they had their walks anyway, they were very appreciative. If we had stayed longer, we would have let them run free as we became familiar with them and them with us. At home, Cassie and Millie would play together in the garden while Bonnie would watch on as her hips were slowing her down a bit. Throwing ball is a must, Cassie and Millie excitedly chased and caught the balls. With Bonnie, we would play ball gently and she was so happy to pickup the ball and give it back to us. Millie sensed this and actually aided Bonnie to have a turn to take the ball and give it to us. The three of them are very intelligent and also very caring of each other. On the other hand, Millie and Cassie could be very quick and cheeky, Cassie has her eye on the treats container attached to their walks shoulder bag (for water, bin bags etc) and took an opportunity to raid the treats container when I bent to put Millie's lead on! Millie liked taking stray clothes, a shoe, linen or a cushion outside and challenging us to retrieve them, instead we distracted her by throwing a ball and she would drop the item.
On their return, Chris showed us how clever Bonnie, Cassie and Millie are at understanding commands with ball play and rolling over etc. Chris has an amazing connection with them.
Chico is Chico, like most cats she does that which pleases her. Chico has several sleeping places and cat flaps, safe from her dog family, the big bed being her favourite place, she would even "disappear" under a cover on the bed during the day to sleep. When humans pay her attention, Chico becomes very vocal and likes to chat loudly and enjoys cuddles and stroking. At night, Chico allows us to share (her) big bed, plenty of room for all, she will also cuddle up and purr contentedly.
They all found a place in our hearts, we would have been happy to have stayed much longer with them.
Phone and text communication with Chris was easy and efficient. On arrival Chris and Tim took time to show us around the house. Chris also printed helpful and comprehensive instructions and information for the house and pet care, plus a much appreciated map of the walking tracks which we always took with us on walks.
Chris and Tim's house and garden are immaculate and easy to keep clean. The sea view is exceptional. Although we didn't cook in the short time there, there is plenty of equipment to easily cook. Chris generously offered for us to use any food, fruit, wine that they had left. We did find time to use the hot tub (our first experience) because it's situation and view was irresistible, a real feelgood experience.
If we are near Cornwall again when Chris and Tim need pet-sitters, we would jump at the chance if asked, we miss their pet family even after only a short time with them. We highly recommend sitting for Chris and Tim and their appreciative pets and we appreciate being invited, thank you Chris and Tim.

Blue is such a great dog, always excited to see you and happy to have humans around. He's the perfect hiking buddy with endless energy on the trail, while being just as content to lie on the couch with you in the middle of a storm. Could not recommend more!

Oliver is by far the most well behaved Rottweiler I’ve ever gotten to interact with, follows commands super well, just wants to play tug of war and than pass out with his head in your lap. Samantha was such a lovely host and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.

We had a lovely time at Penny’s place. Kaya is a sweet heart who is completely happy hanging out on the couch most of the day. She might get a little depressed the first day or two, but then she warms up and forces herself next to you on the sofa. She definitely prefers a car ride to her walkies, and sometimes needs encouragement the first day or so to go to the local forest. She knows her schedule, is well trained, and just great all around.

The cats range from cuddly to aloof. Blossom is tiny and loves being with and on people. She stole our hearts and I had to stop my husband from packing her away with us ;) . Booty is middle ground. He’ll be out most of the time but will come in and hangout near people. He like his occasional pets, and loves food. Pandora will come around and meow, but doesn’t often want pets. However, when she receives them, she has a very loud purr that was so adorable.

Penny was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know Penny and two of her kids. The house was comfortable and easy to take care of. We were close enough to the train station into Brussels, it was an easy walk. Definitely explore the little village there. The parks, castle, and restaurants were cute. The local grocery store only takes cash or debit.

All in all, we enjoyed our sit.
